A human-size capsule is at the center of the room with different wires connected to it. There is someone inside, floating in the liquid content of the capsule. The scientists in the room run about attending to different devices, they answer to the bald old man wearing a lab coat, his white beard looks messy as he observes through a pair of glasses. He gives out orders to his subordinates and he laughs as his project comes to a successful end but there is one happier than he is as this project comes to an end. He stands behind the old scientist who is unaware of his presence, the lights of the room reflect against his black silky hair and his dark eyes hold a hint of happiness in them. Evening falls and Rachael is up and energized though she is clueless about what to do with so much energy so she decides to do what she does best in the club, work. She enters her office and smiles, nothing is out of place. Everything is where it is supposed to be; she turns on the system and begins to check the Club’s invoice and transaction records. She picks up a telephone and punches in some numbers, “Bryan, send the recent entries in the bar’s invoice” she says before she drops the phone. “Gretchen,” he calls her name with disgust. They remove their hoodies to reveal their almost identical faces as they leave the edge of the roof. Gretchen is about 6’3ft tall, she has a slender body and she walks majestically. She has straight long black hair and pale white skin and her blue eyes stare down at Rachael. “How the mighty have fallen. Now you date humans? John steps out of his bathroom with a white towel around his waist, his phone lights up as a notification comes up and he picks it up. Cassandra cuddles up into John’s arms, his body has no warmth since he is an undead but it matters not. She is warm enough for both of them. She gets out of the bed and finds a shirt in John’s closet. She looks at her man sleeping and goes to give him a peck. His cheek is as hard as a brick. She goes to the kitchen to fix herself a glass of water. She drinks the water halfway and stops, she notices something wrong. Something feels off about John’s apartment tonight, so she sniffs into the air as she tries to get the scent of any strange presence. She drops the glass on the counter and bends down to hide behind the kitchen table. Something strange is here, but she has to be sure. She takes a deep breath and exhales; she concentrates so her sharp ears can pick up on any footstep around the house. There is one. 87th Street, Roosevelt. Warren parks on the side of the road, close to an abandoned building, “This is the place,” he says, trying his best to hold in his anger for the smashed window. Marcel rubs his hand against his hair, “You are quite the suspicious man, aren’t you?”, Marcel’s blue eyes assess the young man like a jaguar stalking its prey. “Who are you?” Warrens asks, “Shut up. The human fool Gabriel has taken under his wing will turn out to be a useful piece. Somehow he has gained Count Dracula’s trust but Samuel does not trust him. To be able to gain Dracula’s trust is not something any human can just do. Besides, if immortality is what Frank McQueen wants then Dracula is better equipped for that. So, why Gabriel? Why does Frank McQueen want Gabriel to grant him immortality? Since he has found Dracula, why doesn’t he give them his location? Even the vampires that secretly work for Dracula do not know his location but Frank found it. He even found them. Samuel doesn’t trust Frank McQueen and he does not believe he is out to help the twins. Gabriel and John seem to believe the human but not Samuel.
