As the Vet and the woman by his side stood there with their mouths open Sophia started to the pen with Micha right behind her and Elise following behind. When they were out of ear shot Micha started to laugh. His deep voice filled the air. “Ma as much as I like you putting him in his place and her too did ya have to do it that way?”

“I reckon it was the only way they would understand.” His mother replied as she looked over the pair in front of her. “Everyone knows I fight for mine.”

“I know you do but Sophia ain’t one of yours yet.” Micha said as he looked at his mother standing there next to them as Sophia had gone over the fence and was in the pen already. She was intently hunting for the cows she had seen from afar.

“Yes she is.” The older woman said as she looked at her son, “You just ain’t made it proper, yet.”
