Chapter 18

Ava found herself in the middle of a cemetery. Surrounded herself with the dead. So far, she had seen many ghosts walking in dismal movements. It was enough to want to tell Azrael that she wanted to go home but knew that she was needed. She sat on the cold ground, leaning her back on an even colder tomb wall. She was keeping herself in the shadows as much as she could. But was having a bad feeling about the planning of the ordeal that night.

Ava felt her skin prickling. She felt a presence that she had no idea of who it could be, other than knowing it was a spirit. She turned her head towards the left and sure enough, there was a ghost of a woman standing next to her.

“You can see me?”

Ava nodded, “Yeah.” She turned towards the area near her. “I can see you.”

“You shouldn’t be here.” The woman glanced around the grounds. “An evil presence will come soon, and he will feast on your soul.”
