Chapter 44 — The Storm After the Spotlight

The morning after the fashion show was unusually quiet in the Carver mansion.

Too quiet.

Liana woke up late, sunlight already spilling through her curtains in golden sheets. Her body ached, her throat was dry, but her heart was still racing with the memory of last night — the lights, the applause, the breathtaking moment when her name had been chanted by the crowd.

Her dream was finally real.

Except… there had also been them.

Aiden’s warmth.

Draven’s intensity.

Viktor’s unreadable gaze.

The moment she remembered all three men standing in the same room, her stomach twisted. “Oh no,” she muttered into her pillow. “This is bad. This is very, very bad.”

As if on cue, her phone buzzed with a message.

> Cassian: Breakfast. Ten minutes. Study.

Don’t be late.

She groaned. “Great. The Carver Council has summoned me.”

She dragged herself out of bed, threw on an oversized cream

  • Spoiled By My Overprotective Brothers    Chapter 43 — The Night of Lights and Shadows

The night of the charity fashion show had finally arrived. The rooftop venue shimmered like something out of a dream — glass walls, golden lights, and the city skyline stretching endlessly beyond. Cameras flashed, music thumped softly in the background, and waiters glided between tables with trays of champagne. Every guest was either famous, powerful, or both. And right at the heart of it all stood Liana Carver, dressed in a gown of her own design — a flowing ivory dress embroidered with gold, delicate yet commanding. Her hair was styled in soft waves, her eyes glowing with quiet confidence. This was her night. But it was also, somehow, a battlefield.Because scattered across the glittering crowd were three men whose presence could light up — or burn down — her world.---The first to arrive was Aiden Cross, of course. He owned the red carpet effortlessly — every camera turned, every head followed. His black tux fit perfectly, his confidence smooth and magnetic. When he spotted Liana,

The following week was nothing short of madness.Liana’s name was still everywhere — from fashion blogs to entertainment headlines, from business pages to celebrity gossip sites. But this time, the narrative had started to shift, thanks to Aiden’s influence. The story wasn’t just Liana Carver, the billionaire’s sister anymore. It was Liana Carver, the young designer redefining elegance. She had spent the past few days in the studio she’d rented downtown, a large open space filled with sketches pinned on walls, rolls of fabric stacked neatly, and the hum of sewing machines filling the air. The smell of coffee and cotton blended strangely well — the scent of dreams turning into reality.Naomi had taken full control as her manager-slash-best-friend-slash-chaos-coordinator. “Okay!” she clapped her hands, walking into the room with her iPad. “We have three models confirmed for the charity show. Aiden’s PR team already reserved the venue — a rooftop overlooking the city skyline. And guess w

By the next morning, Liana’s life no longer felt like her own.The once-quiet streets around her estate were now swarmed with reporters and photographers. Drones hovered discreetly above the mansion gates, and expensive cars she didn’t recognize idled at a distance, waiting for a glimpse of the Carver princess everyone was suddenly obsessed with.Naomi had been right — her name had gone global overnight. But fame didn’t come quietly. She stood by her window, watching the flashing lights through the tinted glass, clutching a mug of tea that had long gone cold. Her phone buzzed constantly, and every call she ignored only seemed to multiply the number of messages flooding in.Cassian had already doubled the security around her home. Leo had sent an email to every press outlet warning them to back off — in the Carver way, which meant politely phrased threats. Dante had jokingly offered to “crash a drone or two” for fun.But none of it made her feel better. She wanted to be seen for her wo

By morning, the world had exploded with her name.Liana woke up to the incessant buzzing of her phone. At first, she ignored it — assuming it was Naomi or one of her brothers checking in. But when it wouldn’t stop, she groaned, grabbed her phone from the nightstand, and squinted at the bright screen. There were hundreds of notifications.Messages, tags, emails, missed calls.Naomi: “YOU’RE TRENDING EVERYWHERE!!!”Cassian: “Call me when you’re awake.”Dante: “We broke the internet, baby sister 😎🔥.”Leo: “Don’t panic. We need to talk.”Liana blinked, sat up quickly, and opened her social media. The first thing she saw was her face.Clips and photos from yesterday’s shoot were everywhere. The trio — Aiden Cross, Dante Carver, and Liana Carver — had dominated every major platform overnight. Fashion blogs, entertainment pages, even celebrity gossip sites were calling it “the collaboration of the decade.”Hashtags like #LIAAtelier, #LianaCarver, and #AidenxLiana flooded her feed. Her hear
