It was Sunday morning and Eva woke up because she heard some noises from outside. She checked the clock and it was eight am.
Usually Eva would be awake by seven because she was an early bird and if she wasn’t already awake by then, Stefan would knock on her door to wake her up for breakfast.
This time it was slightly different and it made her wonder what was happening. She pushed away the blanket and walked outside.
She stepped into the elevator and headed downstairs and when the elevator door opened, Eva saw Stefan’s younger sister Monica and her husband Patrick who Eva had met at her birthday party before, but something was a bit different this time because she didn’t come there alone.
There was also a little stroller with a bear, I mean, a human baby inside, but the baby was wrapped in a bear jumpsuit for babie
"The soul is healed by being with children."-Fyodor Dostoevsky-***As Eva and Stefan walked at the mall, they both noticed that people seemed to be staring at them more often than usual and they wondered if it was because they had a baby with them.It was subtle but definitely noticeable. From the strangers’ perspective, it was because they saw the epitome of what looked like a perfect family.A handsome and protective father figure, a beautiful and caring mother figure and the most adorable little baby wearing a bear costume. It seemed perfect and sweet at the same time they just couldn’t help themselves.“What do you want to eat, Eva?” Stefan asked her.“I am not really that hungry, let’s just grab something light.” She told him. It was a bit unusual because Eva was one of the hungriest woman he ever knew. It wasn’t that she ate a lot but she e

Goodrich-***“Good evening, how have your day been with my cute little bear?” Monica stepped into the living room and greeted Eva and Stefan with a huge smile on her face. This time she came alone. Who knew where her husband was.“It was great, actually.” Eva replied politely while Stefan just shook his head with a smile on his face. He was secretly having fun with Harvey’s presence as well. However, he would never admit it out loud for anyone.“He didn’t cause you too much trouble, did he? She asked as she picked Harvey up from his trolley and started hugging him.“No, he actually didn’t. Harvey is such a good, well behaved boy I never had any trouble with him.” She reassured her.“Well, that’s great. Thank you for looking

Stefan was busy with work that day so she came there with the driver and when she stepped inside the nail salon, she saw a familiar face over there who was getting her nail done as well.“You, I think I have seen you before.” Eva stated as she sat down next to the woman after talking to the nail technician about the style she wanted.“Yes, I’m Madeline, the intern at Trident. We have met before.” The woman replied.“Ah, yes, I remember our first encounter. What are you doing here at this hour? Aren’t you supposed to be at work?” She asked.“I actually have hybrid shift. Some days I work from office some days I work remotely. Today I work remotely and I have finished everything I need to do, so I came here.” Madelin
"Your first obligation as a parent is not to bring chaos into your kids' lives."-Unknown-***“There are some things I need to tell you before we go, Eva.” Both Eva and Stefan were getting ready for Stefan’s cousin, Katelyn’s engagement party.“What is it, Stefan?” Eva asked as she was putting on some earrings on her ears.“You already know that my mother and father are divorced. Both of them have their flaws, but they couldn’t stand the sight or mention of each other. When you meet my mother later, don’t mention anything that might remind her of my father, okay?” He warned her.“Don’t worry, Stefan, I won’t even bother with your family’s personal issues. I will mind my own business.” Eva reassured him.“That’s good. My mother can be quite unpredictable at times. She has a few emotional issues. So it’s
"Conflict is inevitable but combat is optional."-Max Lucado-***“What do you think you are doing, Stefan!?” Sheila was not pleased at all. When she finally had some private space to speak with her son, she decided to be blunt.“Hm, what do you mean, mom?” Stefan answered. He had an idea of what she was talking about but he didn’t want to assume until he heard it from her.“That girl you bring, where did you even find her? She’s too young and plain for you. Does she even have a good job at all? Why is someone like her with someone like you?” She asked and expressed her contempt at the same time.“Don’t talk about Eva like that. She might only be twenty-three, but she’s one of the sweetest and most intelligent girl I have ever met. What she does for a living doesn’t matter. I am the one who’s providing for the two of us.” He rebutted
"It's a lot of responsibility to hold a person's heart in your hand."-Jenny Han-***Throughout the entire party, Stefan stick to his words and kept her by his side the whole time. Even when they were getting food to eat, he didn’t let her out of his sight. The meal at the party was delicious.Since Katelyn who worked as a professional nutritionist was a health and clean eating freak, almost everything they had there was clean meal yet somehow they were able to make them all delicious.“Is there anything else you want to get?” He asked after they tasted nearly every single delicacies in there. Eva was almost full already at this point and shook her head.“No, I’m almost full.” She replied.“Okay then, I will just get a drink and then I’ll come back here then we can go home, okay?” He asked her to wait there for a moment and Eva nodded. It wa
"Uninvited guests are often most welcome when they leave."-Aesop-***Eva was packing her belongings at the time because it was her first time flying abroad to Asia and she wanted to be prepared. It was the middle of November and would be autumn in Japan which is perfect.Well, Texas autumn and winter had never been that cold compared to the other States but Eva didn’t enjoy cold or hot weather, autumn was just perfect for her. While Stefan was busy at work, she was looking at her own wardrobe and wondered what kind of attire would be perfect for her to wear.It was then when she heard a knock on her door and she wondered who could that be since the staff usually just left her alone. She opened the door and saw one of the maid standing there with a concerned look on her face so she asked her what’s wrong.“There is someone on the door, he told me his name is Keith Ruthberg and he&rsq
"Childhood is the one story that stands by itself in every soul."-Ivan Doig-***“Here, I made a cup of tea for you.” Eva placed the cup on the table before sitting down and looked at Stefan.“Thank you, it’s quite aromatic, isn’t it?” Stefan stated as he took a sip of the tea.“Now, I’m listening.” Eva crossed her legs a little as she looked at Stefan with curious gaze. He placed down the cup on the table and looked at Eva.“You know Keith and I are cousins. My mother and aunt are close with each other so me and my younger sister grew up meeting him a lot. He’s only one year younger than me so we would often be compared with each other.” He started the story.“I already told you that when I was a child, I was more of a timid kid and had some difficulty socializing with the other kids.” Eva nodded as she recalled the story he
