Starstruck Prologue
Claire Stewart is a normal girl with a normal dream of becoming a famous singer. She doesn’t believe in love and thinks all relationships are doomed to end as she has seen in her life, so maybe not so normal after all. "You are up next" a black-haired man said. I revert back , I'll be out in a minute" . He gives me a tired face and leaves. I put my high heels on and went out. I find myself under a spotlight and soothing music starts.A minute later,I sat on a chair and started singing a made-up story by Andi Mitchell. After finishing the song ,some people give me an applause and whistle-mostly teenagers who think they are my age and totally make a move – while some just nod their heads along .After that song, I played another of my songs, but, halfway through ,the owner of the café plugged the speakers off and gestured me to get back to work.“Thank you! I woke up with the realisation that it was a Tuesday and I had a crappy job with a grumpy boss. That meant me getting up from bed and facing today’s challenge with a smile on my face and stepping into the real world.Okay ,that was deep .‘’ ughh!!!!! I was halfway through my shift when I got a message. ANONYMOUS: "Hey love, how are you?".Who is this person? Is he him? NO, it's not possible. Last time I saw him he was going to jail and was in a court, his hands in handcuffs. Is he back? I get goosebumps thinking about him. I get this urge to itch my skin , like there are a million ants crawling all over my body It cannot be possible. I am just hallucinating or this is some poor prank by some horny teenager in desperate need of attention or something. I look around me for any cameras , or any sign of him but do not find any . I find some courage to write a message back with my heart racing. ME: Who are you? ANONYMOUS: You don't remember me?Oh my god! This is not possible. It can't be. My breath hitches. The second round went over smoothly and as soon as it ended , I rushed to my car to meet Justin . I reached the ice cream parlour and Justin was already there waiting for me ."Hey, guess what?"
