Chapter 8. The Fight

Lena couldn’t believe her eyes as she followed Scar out of the airport. He had paid off all of her debt and accumulated interest with a single swipe of his credit card, without even blinking an eye.

She had no idea how much money he had, but it must have been a fortune. She felt a surge of gratitude and admiration for him, mixed with curiosity and confusion. Who was he, really? And why did he want her to work for him when he has so much money already?

She expected him to hail a taxi or rent a car, but instead he led them to a sleek black limousine that was waiting for them at the curb. A uniformed driver opened the door and greeted Scar with a respectful bow.
