Emmett: Her Birthday

Waking I smile, today Raven celebrates her birthday even if she hates us for it. Walking out I make a coffee and sit, Ashton joining me.

"He seems to be sleeping for a change."

I laugh at Ashton's words. Grayson rarely sleeps after six am, or before midnight. So for him to still be asleep after nine is strange. Then again, a lot has happened.

"No Ava?" I look around. I didn’t expect her to be one to sleep in.

"No, I’m guessing she is asleep. Her gifts are here. Alexa has things set up there. So tonight should be good." I nod to Ashton's words. Sitting we talk quietly, a short while later Grayson walks out of Raven's room.

I look at him, he looks dead. He hasn’t slept, and based on his face he knows, and she spoke. He looks like he is carrying the weight of everything on him right now.

"She told you." It's clear from his face she spoke. He nods and sits down.

"She told me enough. Doesn't matter, for now, today we ignore it and concentrate on her birthday. Ashton go cuddle her wh
