Marry me or he dies

The sounds of water coming from the bathroom seemed to have woken her up as her eyes slowly opened, pain shot through every part of her body more so her private parts as she struggled to sit up on the bed.

It was as if all that happened was suddenly registering in her mind as she recalled how the mafia lord Sebastian King whom she had never offended before mercilessly forced himself on her. A heart wrenching pain pierced her heart as the tears fell like raging waterfalls down her face.

The ruthless devil had forcefully taken her first time, something she'd painstakingly reserved for the man she loved on their wedding night.

Vivian curled her knees hugging them closely as she cried her heart out, no matter how hard she tried to control the sobs she couldn't stop them as the pain and loss engulfed her.

How was she ever going to face Brian again? She didn't deserve his love anymore, she no longer deserved to be with him after she was defiled by another man. Such thoughts broke her heart further and she felt completely defeated. Brian was the only person she had in this world, ever since her whole family was killed, Brian had been the one by her side to comfort her, he supported her and pulled her out of her grief, he gave her hope in life again, but now she wouldn't be able to be with him anymore, not after this.

The sound of the bathroom door being clicked open made her seize her sobs as she flung her head up. Her eyes immediately met the dark and cold pair of eyes of the man standing in front of her, his upper body was bare showing his sculpted chest covered in different kind of tattoos and his lower body was wrapped in a towel.

His eyes barely skimmed over her with nonchalance before they settled on the sheets, there was an unfathomable expression in his eyes as he stared at the sheets, Vivian almost thought she saw surprise in his eyes before his expression changed back to his normal cold look, he strode away from the bed walking into a door that led into what looked like the walk in closet.

Her eyes fell in the direction he'd been glancing at, there was a red stain laying vividly on the white sheets, the clear sign that she'd just lost her virginity, yet he'd looked unremorseful. Vivian didn't know how or why the renowned mafia lord decided to do this to her, with this he had completely ruined her life, her dreams and everything she hoped for, the beautiful life she'd hoped to build with Brian so she could have a complete family again, it was all gone.

Vivian sat on the bed and cried for hours, she hadn't even realized when Sebastian came out of the closet fully dressed, his handsome face was as stoic as always as he cast a fleeting glance her way before walking out of the room leaving her still crying cradled to herself on the bed.

As the time passed by her tears seemed to have been dried up as they'd stopped at some point, but the pain in her chest was still there, the feeling of loss and heartbreak, Vivian just sat there with her knees hugged in her arms, without making the single effort to move from that position for hours.

The door to the room was pushed open after a few series of knocks, Vivian didn't bother to look up at the person that just walked in but she heard the voice of an older woman speak after a while of hesitation, "Miss, please allow me to help you get freshened up." The woman said respectfully but Vivian didn't move, it was as if she didn't notice the woman's presence.

"Miss, am going to need you to come with me so I can help you get cleaned up, and you need a warm bath too." The woman said again but she remained unresponsive. The woman took a while of hesitation before she moved forward to help Vivian out of the bed, Vivian just weakly let the woman support her to the bathroom on shaky legs without making a single protest, she was too tired to even put up any sort of resistance.

After they emerged from the bathroom, Vivian just stood there wrapped up in a towel her eyes still looking blank, the older lady made her sit in front of the mirror helping her dry her hair, the woman didn't say a word to Vivian only cleaning her up, she gave Vivian a set of clothes then moved to go change the sheets after that.

A while later the woman returned to the room but Vivian was still sitting in front of the mirror without moving.

"Miss, why haven't you worn your clothes yet?" She asked but Vivian didn't respond, with a sigh she moved and helped Vivian dress up, she made the bed with fresh sheets and left the room leaving Vivian alone in the silence.

A day quickly passed by, then two, Sebastian hadn't returned to the room after that, but she was locked up in the room like a prisoner, food and clothing would be occasionally brought to her but Vivian barely spared the food a glance, she felt miserable and refused to eat nor sleep only staring ahead like a ghost. And just like that, three days passed with her not having a bite to eat, she already felt extremely weak and had lost all her energy, but she'd still refuse to give the worried maids or the food they brought any attention.

***

Far in the underground basement of Sebastian's mansion. The basement was large and pitch dark only illuminated by a few flashlights held by some men in black clothes standing obediently aside.

A badly beaten up, bloodied man was tied onto a chair in the middle of the basement, his eyes were bulging in fright as he looked at the person in front of him as if he was looking at a monster.

"Please... Please... I already t-told you everything I know!" The man stuttered in fright.

A snort sounded from the person in front of him, Sebastian's deep voice came afterwards, "Yes, that is everything, except you're missing one important thing," Sebastian stepped closer much to the man's horror, he leaned over the shivering man,"I, Sebastian King don't forgive traitorous rats."

"Aaah!!!" The man's horrified cries filled the room as blood and flesh sputtered all over the floors but the man's cries didn't seize, he screamed miserably as he watched with his eyes open as his body got dismembered, the experience was a horrific, bloodcurdling kind of torture no one would be willing to experience.

Eventually after hours of excruciating torture the man's breath seized as Sebastian slashed his throat ruthlessly to finally silence him.

After his business there was done Sebastian strode out of the basement with long strides, his consigliere following closely behind handing him a towel to wipe off the blood that stained his hands, leaving their men to take care of the mess left behind in the basement.

"You know what to do with the information, take them out and bring back all of my lost goods, next time they'll know not to mess with me." Sebastian ordered.

"Yes Boss." His consigliere, Albert replied.

Immediately they emerged from the basement a maid was standing at the door waiting for them, she quickly approached Sebastian, "Sir, the woman..." The maid started but stopped herself as if forgetting something she quickly corrected herself, "Madame, she's still refusing to eat."

His eyes darkened upon hearing that, without another word he climbed the stairs with long strides and headed for the room Vivian was locked in. Immediately Sebastian pushed open the door, he found her almost in the same place he'd left her about three days ago, she was curled on the bed with a listless expression.

An enraged look flashed in his dark eyes as he stalked inside the room, the servants coaxing her to eat noticed him enter and all immediately stood up moving to the side, "Master." They greeted all lowered their heads not daring to glance up at him.

"All of you out!"

The servants didn't delay with the murderous coldness in his voice they all quickly scurried out of the room frightened for their dear life as he seemed to be in a bad mood.

Sebastian moved towards the bed lowering himself to come to eye level with Vivian, though she was staring right at him she seemed to be looking past him. She looked extremely frail and weak it was evident she didn't have much energy left but she stubbornly refused to eat. Sebastian's jaw clenched, his black irises radiating a bone chilling rage.

"You think you can kill yourself by starving?" He chuckled darkly then added, "Well, let me tell you this, your life, and your death are all in my hands now not yours, if you won't eat then fine, but let's see if you can still continue to remain stubborn."

Sebastian grabbed her arm and forcefully yanked her off the bed, her feet wobbled immediately she stood but he held her straight.

"Leave me... Don't touch me! Don't touch me!" She seemed to have returned to her senses and protested trying to push his hands off her even if she was still weak. Sebastian threw her over his shoulder not fazed by her protests at all as he carried her out of the room.

The black SUV drove to a halt in an underground parking garage of the city clubhouse. Sebastian stepped out of the back seat he strode to the other side of the car and opened the door, "Get down!" He said sternly but Vivian remained sitting in the car ignoring him, his dark gaze darkened further as he grabbed her arm and pulled her out of the car. This time he didn't pick her up but just dragged her along with him carelessly.

The elevator opened and Sebastian stepped out dragging Vivian behind him without even bothering if she'd stumble on her weak legs, with a golden colored card he swiped at the door of the penthouse suite and walked straight to the balcony that showed a clear view of the bustling city underneath.

He finally released Vivian and without him holding her she slumped weakly to the floor, Sebastian sat with his legs crossed on a lounge chair on the balcony staring at Vivian expressionlessly, one of his guards arrived with a black briefcase, placing it respectfully on the table he left the room.

Vivian could barely sit up steadily, but she forced herself, she sat on the floor of the balcony with her hands supporting her, a file suddenly landed in front of her on the floor and she subconsciously looked up at Sebastian.

There was smoke hovering in the air around him as he held a burning cigarette between his fingers he was seated leisurely on the lounge chair.

"Still won't sign it right? I figured," he said then pressed the cigarette butt into an ashtray on the table and stood up walking towards the edge of the balcony.

Vivian glared at his back somehow finding herself wishing that he'd just fall to his death from the balcony, she despised him for ruining her life, no matter what he did she wouldn't sign those papers, no matter what he'd do she would never marry a demon like him.

He looked through a pair of binoculars with a cold look in his eyes before he glanced back at her, "Why don't you come and see this first won't you?" His voice sounded nonchalant, but the cruelty in his tone couldn't be masked.

He came back towards her dragging her up and taking her to the edge of the balcony with him. Vivian didn't feel an alms of fright as she stared down at the bustling city far below from such a frightening height, a part of her wondered if he would throw her off the balcony to finish her off since she refused to sign the papers, but the possibility didn't scare her, in fact he'd be doing her a big favor if he ended her life freeing her from this misery.

"Here look." He handed her the binoculars but she refused to take it from his hands, "What now, you don't want to see your beloved fiancee?"

The minute Sebastian said that her head swung up to look at him, eyes open in shock and a hint of dread, he handed her the binoculars once more and she took it from him without a second of hesitation.

Sebastian pointed at a direction for her to look, Vivian placed the binoculars on her eyes and there he was, her heart hammered in her chest as different sets of mixed emotions welled up in her heart as she set her eyes on Brian, tears welled up in her eyes clouding her vision.

Brian was sitting on a couch inside a room in the hotel sitting opposite the clubhouse, he looked distressed as he had his shirt unbottoned, with his head in his palms and shoulders hunched in what seemed like grief.

Vivian's tears trickled down her face as her chest tightened, she knew Brian more than anyone else in the world and from the sight of him she could tell he was deeply hurt he looked utterly miserable. But before she could even see him for long enough the binoculars were snatched out of her hands.

"No, please let me see him again." She pleaded with a weak voice.

"Well, whether or not you're ever going to see him alive again, depends on your performance." Sebastian stated and pointed at another direction.

Vivian's head swung to where he pointed and her breath hitched in horror. A man in Black clothes, a uniform for Sebastian's men was standing on a balcony beside the one they were on, he was holding a long snipper gun pointed directly at Brian's room.

"Wanna see evidence?" Sebastian asked as he gave her back the binoculars, she quickly grabbed it and looked at Brian again. Her heart skipped a beat in fear as she saw the red dot sitting directly on Brian's forehead and he remained oblivious to it.

"What are you doing?" Enraged at the fact that Brian's life was being threatened she managed to yell despite how weak she was feeling glaring fiercely at Sebastian, this time she didn't cower to his stern gaze.

"It's a simple bargain, sign those papers, and he lives, refuse, and he dies." He said expressionlessly.

Vivian couldn't believe her ears, not that she doubted the fact that Sebastian could carry out his threat, but she couldn't believe how her life was becoming like this, just when she thought she would be brought out of her miserable life, just when she was close to tying the knot with the man she loved, her life had to fall right back into misery, this time even worse.

"Why? Why are you doing this to me?" She found herself asking, her voice was choked with pain. This man was the renowned devil, anyone who messed with him should not even hope of living for another second, but how had she offended him, why did he suddenly want to ruin her life?

His jaw visibly clenched at her question but he glanced at her with a straight expression, "You're not in any position to question me." He remarked coldly, "You have ten seconds to make a choice."

Her heart raced with fear as she glanced at the man holding the gun and back at Brian with a troubled expression.

"Eight, seven, six." Vivian didn't realize when he'd begun counting, but with every second she hesitated, Brian got closer to death.

Vivian closed her eyes tightly as a sharp pain clenched her heart.
