If I kill her you can marry Davina

This was the easiest but most painful decision she could have ever made, she hated this man, more than anything, but there was no question that she would always choose Brian's safety even if she'd have to give her own life, she had already broken his heart, but she could never stand back and watch him being killed.

"Three, two..."

"I'll sign it." She said resolutely, but the sheer misery was evident in her voice. It pained her, to tie herself to the man who defiled her, who ruined her life, but for Brian she would be willing even if she had to be sent to hell itself.

***

Vivian had a resolute look in her eyes as she sat across Sebastian at a table on the balcony. Sebastian held the file in his hands with a pen he scribbled on the papers for a while then threw it in front of her on the table along with the pen.

Vivian picked up the pen and the file ready to place her signatures when her eyes fell on the words written with a pen on the papers, it was an additional set of clauses to the marriage agreement.

Clause five written boldly with a pen stated, party B would henceforth adhere to whatever demands party A has otherwise bargaining chip dies.

Clause six stated, Party B will have to behave like a happily married wife to party A in front of the public, on no circumstances should she show she is unwilling to be married to him otherwise bargaining chip dies.

Clause seven and the final clause on the paper stated, party B's life should be intact and reserved till the contract lasts, if anything whatsoever was to happen to her be it sickness, or death of her own doing or not bargaining chip dies.

Vivian glanced up at Sebastian with a look of confusion and protest, she knew the bargaining chip mentioned in the contract referred to Brian, "What is all this? I already agreed to sign the papers, why are you still threatening his life?"

Sebastian blew out the smoke from his mouth, holding the cigarette between his fingers he said, "Oh he'll live, if, you strictly follow the terms written on the contract, if not, you've made your choice, it won't be my fault if he dies, after all I gave you a chance to save him."

Vivian didn't know what to say after that, she heaved trying to calm her rage, first she was forced to marry a man who forcefully raped her and ruined her chance of being with the one she loves, and now she not only had to be a wife to him, but also she didn't even have the liberty to take her own life to free herself from this misery. Whatever she did, with one wrong move this devil of a man would kill Brian.

Left with no other choice, Vivian resignedly signed the papers sealing the deal, there was no going back now, she was already married to this devil of a man. It was the least she could do for Brian after she'd broken his heart, she had to make sure he wouldn't be killed by Sebastian.

Sebastian grabbed the file double checking if she'd placed the signatures in the right places, he stubbed out the cigarette and got up to leave but he stopped his steps at the door, without turning back he said, "Remember, from this moment on you're my wife, and whether you like it or not, you have no choice but to spend the rest of your life with me."

For the next couple of days Vivian still continued to isolate herself inside the bedroom she was placed in at Sebastian's mansion, however this time she didn't refuse to eat, she had all her meals on time and never skipped. She had to remain healthy so Brian could live, because she thought that for dangerous people like Sebastian, they were willing to do anything to get what they wanted, even killing innocent people was nothing to them, somehow for some reason he had set his sights to make her life miserable, she was willing to endure anything for Brian's sake.

Sebastian hadn't shown himself to her for the past few days, but the maids were left to attend to her dutifully, she'd heard a maid mention that he had to leave the city for a very important work, and Vivian couldn't help but wonder how many lives will be lost in his so called work.

The next morning Vivian was woken up pretty early by the maids as they burst into her room with clothing racks and a few people carrying makeup kits.

Apparently, Sebastian had returned late at night and this morning, she was to be meeting with his family for the first time to be introduced as his wife. Though Vivian was reluctant to meet with a bunch of people and pretend that she even liked Sebastian not to mention being in love with him, she had no choice because she had signed those papers, and there was this bold clause that stated she'd have to pretend they were a happily married couple to the public. So without a single word of protest, she allowed herself to be cleaned and dressed up.

"Oooh, darling you look fabulous, I think your husband's going to trip over himself the moment he sees you." The guy who'd done her makeup commented making the other ladies in the room giggle. Vivian couldn't even so much as muster a polite smile and just nodded solemnly.

The aqua blue dress clung to her curves accentuating her figure, the dress went a little below her knees, it had a slightly lower neckline with straps that tied behind her neck, her hair had been done in a nice up do that showed off her slender neck and, a few strands fell to frame her heart shaped face.

Vivian glanced at her own reflection in the mirror, the woman staring back at her looked utterly beautiful, but if one looked closely they'd see the dimness inside her green irises.

Normally, she would compliment the people who'd worked hard to get her ready, she was usually very polite, however at this moment she didn't care about anything else except getting the charade over with and returning to lock herself up in the room.

The maids led her out after they had finished getting her ready, strangely enough, she realized she would probably get lost in the big house if left alone, even if she had been living here for weeks now, the whole place still looked strange to her and felt foreign.

The maid left her pointing for her to go and meet Sebastian, she sighted him waiting below the stairs. He was in a formal tuxedo unlike his usual jeans and jackets, he looked normal, almost too normal that no one would believe he was a blood spilling monster. His handsome face was a sight that would leave any woman willing to throw herself at him, but that same face was one that had recently began to hunt Vivian's nightmares.

He glanced up as Vivian slowly descended the stairs and for a second Vivian thought she saw a stunned look in his eyes, but with a second look it disappeared to his usual nonchalance, he patiently waited until she was right beside him before he turned to exit the mansion leaving her to trail behind.

The driver respectfully opened the back door of the car for Vivian while Sebastian had moved to sit in the other side, and the car drove off away from the huge mansion.

"Remember, we got married because we were madly in love, you're not to say a word unless I ask you to, also, my father might try to probe you, whatever he says, just tell him that, you're willing to do whatever it takes to be with me," Sebastian instructed, he hesitated before adding, "even if you have to give your life for it, do you understand?" His expression was seriously stern as usual, but the way he spoke this time felt like this was a matter that shouldn't be trifled with.

Vivian didn't care about whatever internal issues he might be having with his family or why he wanted her to lie like that, as it is she was already giving her life to save the man she loved so a little lie wasn't anything she'd be reluctant to tell, "Yes." She agreed obediently.

The car fell silent after that with neither of them saying another word.

They arrived at the parking garage of the city's most expensive hotel, The Sunshine resplendence, it was said that only the rich elites could afford the hotel's fees, high end weddings were usually held here, in fact, anyone who could step feet in The Sunshine resplendence would most likely bump into a celebrity.

Vivian couldn't help but be awed at the hotel's interior, it looked nothing short of a palace from some fantasy story, even the elevators looked posh.

Sebastian led them towards a private room, the few guards standing outside all bowed their heads in deferrence as Sebastian walked past, one of them opened the door for them both.

The room was extravagant, the spacious interior decorated so pristinely, two people were already seated at the dining area and when Sebastian and Vivian came in both eyes turned on them.

There was an older looking man and a slightly middle aged man in the room, the older man had a stern expression even much colder than Sebastian's, he had a scowl on his face that would naturally push people off, if a child were to be in his presence they would certainly be shivering in fear.

The other man looked younger with a striking resemblance with Sebastian, it was almost uncanny, only Sebastian was much taller, broader and younger.

"Dad, grandfather." Sebastian greeted.

"Son, you're here, have a seat." Said the middle aged man who was Sebastian's father.

His grandfather looked extremely displeased, especially when he set his eyes on Vivian, it was as if he already disliked her the minute he saw her, he grunted a response to Sebastian's greetings and didn't say a word.

Sebastian pulled out a chair as he glanced at Vivian signalling she take a seat, since she was here on his orders, and he had specifically instructed she not say a word until he tells her to, she sat down quietly. He pulled out his seat beside her and sat down.

"Father, grandfather, this is Vivian, my wife." Sebastian stated calmly and both men looked her way stunned.

"Your what?" His grandfather yelled with a shocked and unexpected look in his eyes.

Vivian wondered if he hadn't informed them before hand that he was bringing her along.

"My wife grandfather." Sebastian replied calmly unfazed by the old man's visible anger.

The old man suddenly stood up abruptly slamming the table hard, Vivian almost jumped at the sudden action.

"What the hell do you mean by your wife? I thought she was just an escort you picked up for the night." The old man yelled.

"She's my legally wedded wife, and might I add grandfather she's dressed too decently for an escort don't you think?" Sebastian had a small smirk on his lips as he added, "The times have changed old man, I assure you the escorts these days are dressed way more revealing than those from your times."

The old man still looked livid, not caring about the rareness of the fact that his grandson had actually just attempted to make a joke. His father's face however brightened up as he heard Sebastian speak, his gaze fell on Vivian with interest.

"Don't think you can fool me young man, you can't just go and get married, you're engaged to Davina for fuck's sake!" The old man raged.

"You're not supposed to be cursing anymore old man." Sebastian remarked.

The old man sneered, "Do you think I'd believe you're married just because you say so?"

"Figured you wouldn't," Sebastian said as he dropped a file on the table.

The old man glanced doubtfully at him for a second before sitting back down on his chair, he picked up the file and it wasn't an exaggeration to say that he flared with fury immediately he saw the contents on the paper. As he angrily slammed the file on the table, Vivian caught a glimpse of the heading that read 'Marriage Certificate' it was a different file from the contract she had signed, but it boldly held both their signatures.

"How dare you defy me? You actually dare to carry out your threats even when I told you that you are to marry Davina and no one else." His grandfather bellowed loudly.

"Don't pretend you don't know how I do my things grandfather, I told you I'd be marrying a woman of my choice and I did, what's so surprising about that?" Sebastian said.

"And don't you dare bring that attitude on me, I made you who you are today you arrogant son of a gun! You think you can defy me and just go scot free?" The old man pulled out a gun and pointed it straight at Sebastian's head, "Now don't go thinking I can't pull the trigger to punish you just because you're my kin, you know me better than that."

For the first time ever Vivian heard Sebastian laugh, it was a rich throaty sound magnetically captivating yet deviously ominous, "I don't doubt that you can pull the trigger old man but you sure are forgetting that you're getting old, stop trying to play with firearms, your hands might just slip and you'll end up hurting yourself."

Vivian's ears didn't miss the threat in Sebastian's tone, it might have seemed like he was cautioning the old man out of concern but the threats were evident in his deadly glares.

"Sebastian, Dad, enough of this you two!" Sebastian's father Raymond roared seemingly having enough of their argument.

The old man sat down still glaring at his grandson he threw the gun on the table in frustration. His glares suddenly shifted to Vivian, taken aback by his deadly stare she lowered her head.

"What's done is done, he can't take it back now since he's already married to the woman he wants, there's no use trying to force him to marry Davina anymore father." Raymond tried to appease the old man who suddenly looked enraged again after hearing that there was no chance Sebastian could marry Davina anymore.

The old man picked up his gun once more and to everyone's surprise this time pointed it straight at Vivian, "Who told you he won't be able to marry Davina, once this woman is dead, there would be no one stopping him from marrying the girl of my choice right?" The old man looked pleased at his own theory, there was not a single sign of hesitation in his eyes as he had the gun pointed threateningly to her head.

I'll follow everyone else on this. Why did her target her? Well, I'm going out on a limb here. I'm assuming Brian had something to do with her parents' deaths, and Sébastien knows what he did. He forcibly raped her to bend her to his will, not realizing that she was a virgin. I'll admit that was
