Chapter 32 - His Promise

"Hello, may I know who this is?" Jade said, earning a frown from Tyler.

"Jade, it's Luke," Jade couldn't stop the smile that made its way to her lips. She forgot to do the assistant’s instruction a while ago and hadn’t saved his name on her contacts.

"Luke, how are you?" She looked down her lap as she didn't want to see Tyler's cold face. He was ruining her day.

"Thank you for saving me, Jade. I owe you my life," Luke said with a soft voice, forcing himself to speak as he was still in so much pain.

"Don't mention it. Take good care of your injury, don't let it get infected if you want to have complete limbs," Jade giggled.

Tyler's knuckles were white as he clenched them so hard. Luke was getting into his nerves.

"I will," Luke chuckled lightly and went on. "I hope to see you again."

"Take a rest first, Luke. There's plenty of time for that," Jade's voice trembled. She never expected that the day she had been waiting for, had finally come.

She's sure that she will see him again
