Jade held her foot and gave it a massage before she got up from the bed.
She bit her lower lip because of the pain, and walked towards the door dragging her left foot.
"Where are you going?" Tyler asked indifferently.
"My luggage is in your car and I have to get an ice pack for my sprained ankle," Jade meekly said, Tyler pursed his lips.
'This woman doesn't want to ask for help. Stubborn!'
Tyler pressed a button on the intercom. "Bring my wife's luggage up here and bring an ice pack as well."
Goosebumps covered Jade's entire body upon hearing the word 'wife'. She froze and her feet were stuck on the floor.
"Are you going to stand there forever?" Tyler said when she wasn't moving from where she stood. "You better rest your feet so you won't walk limping when we go back to the old mansion."
Jade began to walk towards the couch and suddenly she was lifted from the floor.
The suddenness of being lifted from the floor caused her to hug his neck in panic.
Tyler froze as her soft body was pressed against his hard chest. And her vanilla-like scent filled his nose.
Suddenly, the woman in his arms lifted her head while he looked down on her and their lips brushed. Eyes agape in shock, she looked away while a vague emotion flickered in Tyler's cold eyes as his eyes set on her blushing face.
Too embarrassed to look at him, Jade had her head hung low while Tyler deposited her on the couch. The loud thundering of her heart made her hear the sound, literally.
She didn't expect this thing to happen as Max said that they will be married on paper only and there will be no intimacy between them.
How could she be so naive to believe whatever he told her?
Soft knocks sounded on the door took Jade's mind off the uneasiness she felt.
Without a word, Tyler strode to the door and opened it.
Two maids came into the room, one was carrying her luggage while the other was carrying the ice pack.
Tyler took the ice pack from the maid and instructed the other. "Bring the luggage into the walk - in closet and put my wife's things in the vacant space next to mine."
"Wait!" Jade said, stopping the maid. Tyler turned to look at Jade.
Jade smiled stiffly and said, "I have to get something from my luggage."
Tyler took her luggage from the maid and approached her carrying her luggage.
Tyler thought about her sprained ankle and placed the luggage on top of the coffee table so she could easily open her suitcase and would have to bend down.
Remembering that she put her lingeries on top of her clothes, Jade's hands began to sweat and her blushing face a while ago turned ashen. She couldn't open her suitcase in front of Tyler.
"What are you waiting for, dear wife?" Tyler said tenderly but his eyes were icy cold as his back was to the maids who were still waiting.
"Er…" her throat was bone dry. How could she tell him not to look without giving a hint to the maids about their true relationship.
"Wife, hurry up, they are waiting to take the luggage," Tyler said, keeping his voice as tender as he could as he was beginning to get impatient.
Jade bit her lips and her hands were now shaking.
Tyler got really impatient and sat beside her. He put down the ice pack. Swiftly he took the suitcase.
Caught off guard, she wasn't able to stop him from opening her suitcase.
Tyler swallowed, his Adam's apple bobbed up and down when bras and panties greeted him as he opened the suitcase.
The maids giggled as they saw what was on top of the suitcase.
Jade wished the ground would open up and swallow her up. This is really humiliating.
After recovering from her shock, Jade pulled the suitcase and took the medicine pouch, then she immediately closed the suitcase.
"You can now take my wife's luggage," Tyler said after a moment of silence.
The maid took the suitcase and walked into the walk-in closet together with the other maid.
Tyler looked at the woman beside him. She was looking everywhere but him. Gasp, left her mouth when the man seated beside her cupped the back of her knees.
In a daze, she stared at the man who held her legs and placed them on his lap.
In a swift yet gentle manner, Tyler removed her shoes and put the ice pack on her sprained ankle. The coldness of the ice pack snapped Jade out of her daze.
"I - I can do it," Jade couldn't hide her twitchiness that her legs were on his lap.
Jade pulled her feet from his lap however, Tyler pressed them down. "Stay still if you don't want to screw up our mission."
Finding no words to refute him, Jade pursed her lips and said no more. After applying cold compress on her sprain. Jade took out an ointment from her medicine pouch. Just as she was pulling her legs away from him, Tyler pressed them down again.
"They're still here," Tyler took the ointment from her hand and their hands brushed each other.
"We have to tell Jason about it. The boy should not be kept in the dark. No matter what, that is his mother," Jade said and sighed. "If he wants to see her for the last time, we'll allow him," Jade said again. They can't change the fact that Sophia is Jason's mother. If he wants to see his mother they will allow it. Jade felt the need for Jason to see his mother for the last time so he could get closure. As usual the dinner table was lively as the family bantered while they're having dinner. The family practice the stiff table manners among the aristocrats when they're having dinner with outsiders. But when they were eating with their relatives they didn't follow the stiff table manners. Tyler and Jade didn't want their kids to feel like being shackled. "Jason, mom and dad are going to talk to you about your mother," Tyler said while the family was seated at the patio after the meal. Timothy, when he heard it, being sensible, he stood up and about to leave but Jason stopped hi
Morning came, Jade abruptly sat up. As soon as she woke up she remembered Jason. "Hey, easy," Tyler's voice rang out. "Baby, is Jason back? Did you find him?" While she was surrendering herself to oblivion last night, she heard him promise to find Jason. "Yes," Tyler answered but the glum in his face made Jade's breathing erratic, she staggered backward. "What happened to him? Where is our son?" Jade was starting to panic again. "Answer me!" Jade said when he didn't answer. "Calm down, baby," Tyler pulled her to him. He swallowed. He doesn't know how to tell her that Jason received a hard beating from Sophia and the boy was in a coma and hadn't woken up yet. "How could I calm down? You're not telling me where my son is?" Jade was a sobbing mess. "Shhhh, alright, calm down first and I'll tell you," Tyler stroked her hair. "Tyler, please hurry up and tell me. I want to see him," Jade pleaded. "We found Jason last night, but he's in the hospital now. Sophia treated him brutally
Hatred flickered in the gray orbs of the young boy as he stared at the woman called his mother. Not once did he feel loved by her. Even when he was in her womb, she did not consider the effect of her vices on his health. In his mother's heart he wasn't a person at all. He was just a tool. A tool she could use so that she could keep Tyler. The woman his mother was berating, the woman who wasn't related to him was the one who surrounded her with unconditional love. The love he craved from his mother was given by Jade without an ulterior motive. Since the day Tyler took him back Jade did nothing but to make him feel loved and accepted. It wasn't for a show. With or without people surrounding them Jade was consistently kind and loving to him. The same love she showered Timothy and the twins was the same love showered to him by Jade. Jade hasn't carried her in her womb but in the heart of the boy, Jade is his real mother. "You! Why do you look at me like that? Did she brainwash you
In the morning, Jade walked into the kitchen with a limp. She gulped when she saw the back of her man. His tight fit t- shirt and joggers defined his broad shoulders, slim waist and perky butt. His muscles flexed with every move he made. "Didn't you have your fill last night? Have you?" Tyler chuckled, snapping Jade out from her reverie. Slightly annoyed, Jade rolled her eyes and snorted. Tyler chuckled and continued cooking. The kids and Jade were already at the table when Tyler was done cooking. Timothy and Jason praised their dad for his cooking skill. Tyler was smiling from ear to ear due to the boys' approval. "I'll take the boys to school and be back after that," Tyler said while he nuzzled her neck. "Aren't you going to the company?" Jade asked while she brushed her hair. "I've been away for four consecutive days, I would like to spend time with my wife," he kept nuzzling her neck. "Today is your day off and I have to grab this opportunity to have you all myself while
A confused Jade walked out of the hospital flanked by bodyguards. Once seated on the rear passenger seat, Jade fished out her phone from her bag and called Tyler. "Babe," Tyler's voice came over. Jade took note of his tired voice. "Is something the matter? Why did you send bodyguards to pick me up?" Jade tried to speak as calm as she could but her words gave away how she felt at this time. "It's Sophia… She's on the loose," Tyler didn't want her to get frightened but he won't let her keep in the dark. He wanted her to be vigilant. "How? The correctional facilities have tight security, how did she manage to escape?" Jade frantically asked. Her breathing became erratic thinking about her four children. Now that Sophia is at large, the children would be her easy target to inflict damage to her and Tyler. "Her parents were able to get a court decision to transfer Sophia from the correctional to a mental institution due to her mental illness," Tyler answered. "Jadey, Sophia is a cr
Wilson Heinrich was placed on his cradle after being fed. Jade took the name of her youngest son from his adoptive father Wilson and Heinrich, the man who saved her from those who sought to kill her. "Why are you wearing a long face?" Cecilia cast a question to Jared innocently. "You should be in a festive mood because your nephew and niece are delivered safely," Jade said, wearing a sad expression as if she was offended. But deep inside she was just trying to pry on his love affair. "No, I am very happy!" Jared forced a smile. "Spill it!" Tyler said when he saw that he was forcing a smile. "Alright!" Jared lifted his hands in surrender. Tyler could read him easily and couldn't hide from him. Furthermore, he needs sound advice. "It's Gwen," his shoulders sagged as he mentioned her name. Jade and Cecilia shared a look."She's leaving and going back to Germany," he sighed. "So?" Cecilia reacted as if she didn't know anything. "I fell in love with her." Tyler's lips twitched.
