Chapter 2

Ring... Ring... Ring... That was my alarm. Arrrgghhh! Still sleepy but must go to university because of my last semester's final exam. I needed to pass so I could finish college and make Chadrick proud of me. He’s my greatest inspiration, my deepest why, and My Knight!.

Eager to complete BS in Business Ad, - yes, I enrolled for a business course because I wanted to fit in with Chadrick’s world. I chose Chicago University because of the tri-semester program they were offering. With that, I could get my degree faster and join Chadrick in the mundane of business. I didn't care if it’s tough as long as I’m with him.

I didn't want to get late for school that was why I pushed myself for a quick shower. Left only with my lingerie’s I looked myself in the mirror. I got long legs with my 5’7 height. My body curve is in great shape at 19. “Whoa! I turned into one fine lady and it suited me.

After the shower, I walked into my closet full of wardrobes. I chose black pants and a light pink sweatshirt. Thanks to my hardworking parents, I’m one spoiled brat. I rushed downstairs and my Mom invited me for breakfast. She prepared an omelet and sausages and I'm so thankful for everything that she's doing for me.

“Allessandra, finish your orange juice so that you won’t be late,” she said in a motherly manner. I nodded and in three gulps I’m done. I kissed and hugged her tight but before I could rush out of the house, “You look nervous darling, good luck on your exam. I know you can do it!” she encouraged.

At the university, I met my best friend Bella and she waited for me in the lobby. “Hey girl, let’s go!" she waved at me.  "The exam will start in a few because Professor Jones is on his way!” she pulled me in. 

Inside, Prof distributed the exam papers. I got my piece and started to write my name.  I stared at it for a while and thought, “I can do this! Chadrick this is for you”.

I felt someone tapped my shoulder “We are having an exam here Ms. Taylor, why are you daydreaming? I grinned and replied “Sorry Prof”. Dense, am I? Absolutely!

 A day later, I got my results and I guess good luck was on my side. Thank God I passed. Not that I got high, but passing scores are enough. I’m not that brainy, though. - I laughed in my mind.

Bella and I went to the nearby café to celebrate our job well done. We chatted “So, Alle how are you and your prince charming?” she asked with a meaningful smile. "Did you inform him that you passed your exams?” she spoke curiously.  

“Of course!” I exclaimed in happiness. The truth, he was the first one I informed as soon as I got the results. With excitement she reacted “That’s my girl!” and we did a high-five. “You’re one step closer to your goal” she whispered naughtily. “You’re such a tease!” I pushed her. She really is my best friend!

After an hour, I received a message from my mom that Chad and Dad are having a  business discussion at our house. I grinned and sent her a thank you reply but I didn't forget to add a winking emoji. Right away, I went home and the excitement to see him plastered in my heart.

Chadrick handles most of their businesses since he was 25. His Dad appointed him as the new CEO of Williams Group at 31. Their businesses are at the peak and the most successful in Chicago

I pushed the main door and saw them in the living room. Mom was serving some sweets when I called “Mom, Dad I’m Home!

As soon as Chadrick and I made eye contact, I blushed. “Congratulations, Kid!”  Chad greeted me happily.

I ran to him excitedly and clung like a leech.  “Hey! Stop calling me kid, I’m a grown-up!” I heard Mom tittered on the side and Dad was smirking on the couch.

“Darling, Chadrick got a new girlfriend” my Dad interrupted. Boom! Why he opted to ruin my good mood? My dad was really...really something else.

WHAT?! I questioned in disbelief. “Yeah, and I want to introduce her to you” Chadrick smiled with his perfect set of teeth.  That was it! happy day no more!

“We’ll be having a hotel opening on Friday night, you should go Okay?” I nodded but I was just suppressing my jealousy and irritation. I balled my fists "STAY CALM Bitch! You can break them off!" that was my wicked mind.

Friday came and it was 4 in the afternoon. I needed to get ready because the party is at 7. I spent a few minutes just thinking about his girlfriend. I wondered what kind of woman she is. What does he like about her?

I walked to my closet to find a suitable dress.  After trying some, I chose the long black Versace dress. It has slit-cut up half above my knee showing my porcelain leg skin. It has an elegant heart shape on the chest and comes with thin string straps. The dress really shows off my curves- like a model. I put light makeup on but didn't forget smoky eyes. I settled my long blonde hair into a bun and left some strands. One final looked in the mirror, perfect! "Let see if he will still call me kid after this night," my mind beamed like an idiot.

I went downstairs and my Dad, Mom, and Andrew were staring at me - with mouths opened. Mom was first to react, “Wow, my baby is now a lady” still in disbelief. “You look stunning darling!" she was really astonished. What can you say honey?” mom turned to Dad. 

“Mhmm, I can’t speak a word to describe you, I’m speechless," he was smiling widely and I believe astounded with my look too.

"Sweetheart, you’ve grown beautifully but you’re still my princess,” he was starting to get emotional. They're really the most supportive and loving parents one could ever have.

Andrew interrupted our wonderful moment when he teased “Whoa! I think you should grow those boobies more if you… want to get Chadrick’s attention” he winked at Dad. They really enjoyed teasing me knowing that I kept wooing and following Chadrick.

“You're so annoying Andrew!" I glared at him fiercely. "Pervert! How dare you!?” I exclaimed in disgust. Even if the whole world tells me I’m pretty, my brother would never!

“Enough kids!"Dad cut off. "Shall we? We’re getting late” mom insisted before I could throw tantrums.
