Chapter 2 Sanjana Singh

 In the  middle of the rose garden a girl was sitting staring at the beauty of nature, as Dehradun is famous for his natural beauty. she can see the mountains and the clouds that are covering the hills, she likes them here. As this always brings peace to her heart, her life, she forgot the pains of her life for at least some time.

 She was Sanjana Singh, a 22 yr old girl ,who is blessed with natural beauty, her fair complexion blue eyes all enough to mesmerise anyone. But she always wished that her destiny must be beautiful too as her face doesn't match her life , as she doesn't have any good memories to cherish.

   Sanjana lives in Dehradun with he r maternal grandparents.Mr parmesh Chauhan and Mrs Dhani Chah her nanaji was a  retired Supreme Court Judge, her nani was a housewife

      Sanjana"s parents Naira and sandeep, were married against the wishes of her grandparents. Naira Chauhan was a perfect example of beauty with a brain. She was a strong minded woman who fell in love with Sandeep Singh who was an orphan and was her classmate. Sandeep did all his education through scholarship as he was a brilliant student soon his hard work paid off and he got a job in a reputed MNC of Delhi.

He wanted to take the permission of the Chauhan couple to get  married to Naira but Naira knew that her parents could agree to this but not her wicked brother ,Narendra Chauhan. Narendra was always gracious of Naira's achievements as their parents compared Naira and Narendra, Naira was always a topper whereas Narendra was never interested in studies. And over that he always got bad  company in the name of friends, as a result, he graduated college with a great difficulty whereas 

Naira always topped in her college.

     When Narendra met Nandini at a party, she knew from his background that he belonged to the rich and well-known Chauhan family of Dehradun. Soon she trapped him in her love and they got married with the permission of their respective parents. Parmesh Chauhan knew that his son is a spoiled brat good for nothing so he settled a small business for Narendra for the sake of society.

  Naira knows his brother's evil brain so she convinced Sandeep to elope and get married ,as expected Naira's family broke all their ties with her. Naira and  sandeep got settled in Delhi when naira was pregnant with Sanjana she accidentally met her old neighbours from Dehradun, they exchanged numbers .

    It was her nine month when they were going to the hospital for her delivery but met with an accident. Sandeep lost his life on the spot only whereas naira died after giving birth to her child, and it was Sanjana Singh. Thee hospital authorities were giving the baby to the orphanage when they got the no. of old neighbours from naira's purse they informed them who called naira's family in Dehradun.

Parmesh and Dhani reached Delhi the next day and took custody of the child. They did the cremation of their daughter and son in law and with a heavy heart left for Dehradun. 

      Sanjana was brought up with the love and care of her nanima, as parmesh was always strict with her, she had to follow some restrictions in her life. Nandini and his sons Neel and Nitin never missed a chance to taunt or trouble Sanjana. But they used to do it in the absence of their grandparents. But the elder Chauhan couple knew their behaviour towards Sanjana so Dhani Chauhan tried to make Sanjana busy with teaching her different things, Sanjana was a pro in cooking. She was well trained in other household chores too.

Sanjana always craved for love and acceptance of her family but she knew she could never get it. she was lost in her thoughts when a loud voice from behind disturbed her 

   "  Done your daydreaming session" nandini shouted her in loud voice 

  "Aunty no. I was just…."

" Shhh not interested in your sad story just come and help me don't you know it's my kitty party today ,come in now "

    Sanjana nodded and followed her into the kitchen  Nandini gave her the menu and left for her beauty parlour. The cook of the house was feeling pity for that fragile girl. Still, he tried to help her with the preparation. Sanjana started with her cooking and after 4 hours of hard work she prepared all the dishes. 

Sanjana then locked herself in her room her aunt would not like her presence at the party. soon she can hear the voices of ladies who were chatting giggling in the living room 

 It was past dinner time when she felt hungry so she quietly reached the kitchen when she searched for food she found that everything was already finished. She just took a glass of milk as her dinner and left for her room.

 Reaching her room she found her phone vibrating with her Nani's number and she quickly picked it up. As the elder couple were out to attend some relatives' wedding. Dhani Chauhan was asking about her dinner so she quickly lied to her and hung up the call after chatting for some time.

Sanjana picked her mother"s photo frame from the bedside table and shed silent tears as she doesn't know when will her suffering end or she will have to suffer this throughout her life.
