Run Away With Me

Moans, groans, pants and high breaths filled the walls of the room, like a song, it sang so great into the night expressing both the want, the love, the lust and the beauty of being in the arms of a loved one. The sweet feeling of being in love and the pain of letting go, filled the edges of whatever this feeling was with an agony of its own.

Tristan didn’t want to stop, he could not stop no matter how much he tried to. This might be forever, again, it might be the last time, it might be a long time away but whatever it was, whenever it was going to happen again didn’t matter anymore. This night was simply for him, with the beautiful lady trapped underneath him. Her moans filled his ears, her hands clutched tightly at his back and her love for him, ever so true, it could be felt with the way his name roared out of her mouth together with the moans she created, expressing intense pleasure at every thrust.

And this beautiful woman was the woman he was going to leave? That thought made pain fill his heart while he thrust deeper, longer and further into her like he had never done. He wanted to dig so deep, he wouldn’t be able to escape her, he wouldn’t be able to leave her or forget her. His love for her could not bear to part like this, but he certainly had to. For now, it was going to be just her and him, panting and taking each other’s breath like theirs.

His thrusting soon enough intensified and once again, Climax was here. Yet another orgasm but would it be enough? would he be satisfied? Will he ever want to stop? These thoughts yet again, ached his heart and filled his system with pain but before it could go further, she took his lips, trapped it between the very intoxicating taste of her soft petaled lips. The pain soon enough disappeared and her intoxication drowned him, pulling at his climax again. He groaned, pulled her hair that she would be unable to move while his thrust went deeper, harder and faster like the love he had for her driving him mad, he was soon going to run to his own doom.

“Danica….” He groaned her name and found his ejaculation.

Tears welled up in Danica’s eyes at the sound of her name. Tristan had always loved calling her sweet names of endearment. She never cared about it and never found it strange. She had been dating this man since the very beginning of college till even after graduation. She had loved him as her very first and had loved him to the extent of her very last. He always said that the name Danica was strange in his mouth. His deep roots always thought that the name never sounded like one from San Diego so he would always prefer names of endearment instead of calling her what she bore. But now, the tears could not stop coming from her eyes surreptitiously. The name had rolled of his tongue like it was their final good bye, and God, she loved the way he sounded with that little accent he had. Unlike most Spanish men that were deep rooted into the accent and way of speaking, Tristan had a thing with his tongue. He learnt more of English and only did Spanish because 25% of the population could. He was not a pro but when he spoke, it always sounded like heaven beaconing on her, pulling at her heart and asking her to come home. The accent was not so deeply rooted but when he spoke, his voice always had that tone, melancholy, it could be called but it was like a soothing wind against her worries.

Danica pushed back her tears and tried to remain strong even when her heart was shattering over and over again, she had to remain strong because she had promised him that she would. Tristan fell on her immediately after his climax while he tried to catch his breath. But she remained still, holding back whatever sobs that wanted to escape her throat while she tried to even out her breath. it was a hard task to do when the man on top of her was going to be leaving very soon. it was the most heart wrecking experience she had over the last ten years and it burned really bad. To thought of how to leave life without him close by drive her into deep disenchantment. Florida was so far away, how would he run to her when she faces trouble again? how would he come over in the middle of the night when she calls to tell him that she had a bad dream? How would she sleep over in his apartment from now on? How will she hold on to him and be trapped within his embrace, all night, all day, from now hence forth?

The colors in her life were slowly fading away, dying out of her sight and she was going to die with his departure. The pain could no longer be contained and a tear escaped her eyes, as they often did since realizing this ultimate fate, once again flying into the ears of the man beside her.

“Babe…” he jerked and rolled over to the bed, but not too far away where he could not touch her anymore. She didn’t turn to him, but kept her eyes ahead, pushing back tears that could not be held back. she hated herself for being so weak, for crying so much and for feeling like a complete mess. He was not dying, he was not going to die, he was only travelling to a place where she could not meet him, yet and who knows how long that was going to take.

“Look at me, sweet heart,” he placed his hand at the corner of her face and pulled her gaze to him. More tears came flowing down her cheek when she stared at the man who she voted to be the most handsome in the world. With the perfect pair of eyes staring right back at her. His brown eyes had always been so captivating, so beautiful like chocolate which she loved so much. the tears she could not stop crying pulled at the heart of the man beside her, he swatted his brown hair away, that had fell on his face due to sweating so much and pulled the woman beside him closer. Then he threw a leg over hers and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. He knew why she was crying no doubt and he hated himself for it. If only he could have stayed back, if only he would be able to. But when it came to this case, to being free, free from his father, he would pick it over and over again.

“You will come to me when I get settled, I promise you that,” he tried to reassure her and dropped another kiss on her forehead. But each word and action he carried out only made her sob higher and higher, breaking his heart even more.

“When…” she tried to speak but her sobs got in the way. He patiently waited and found her snuggling closer to him. He let her and held her even tighter while his hands went down to her hair.

“When will that be?” she asked, this time her voice was hoarse and filled with so much sadness, it broke him.

“Soon,” he simply said. How could he give her a date when he was simply running away, far away from them? He had no idea what Florida held for him, but he was willing to try to make something out of his life, to begin afresh so she can come join him. Danica went quiet, understanding what his words were. They had been over this before, so she knew that he had no idea at all. But had a plan in mind, a plan he had asked her to trust just as he did. It was so confusing why he would wake up one morning and decide to leave the life they had in San Diego to go over to Florida. He had never given her a reason worth leaving and had only asked that she trust him. Of course, she did, she had always done that and will always. It was just so painful to know that they would be apart for a long time.

“Please…don’t go,” she pushed her luck, knowing very well that it was a waste of time on her part. She had pleaded before after all and got no results.

“I don’t want to…but…” he paused and ran his hand soothingly through her hair. She forced a smile and allowed more tears to run down her cheek. At least, she tried.

The night became quiet and her heart piercing sobs soon enough disappeared into an even breath that signified that she had fallen asleep in his arms. This was the hardest that Tristan had ever been through in a long time and knowing that he would be unable to hold her like this for a while spooked him and made him consider his options. But were there options to consider? He was cornered and had no more escape except for this part, a part he had to thread on. A part that would keep him away from the love of his life. Holding her even tighter, he inhaled the scent of hair that always seemed to smell like lilac and placed a kiss on her head again.

“I love you,” he whispered, scared of waking the sleeping girl up.

Morning came and Danica proved to be in a better mood than the way she was the previous night. She had a shower with Tristan and had another round of passionate intercourse. Before she made breakfast and they ate together like the perfect love birds. She went ahead to prepare for the day and after which helped Tristan to pack the rest of his things. It was done quietly and they spoke less as the minute ran by. He was not the one to speak too much from the beginning, neither did he known how to make jokes. So, the morning was always like other mornings till the time drew near and an uncomfortable silence laced with the pain of saying goodbye overwhelmed them.

A cab came by and together they drove to the airport, hands held tightly while they bashed in the scent of each other till it filled their lungs never to escape again. She accompanied him to the airport and through security with the help of the gate pass while holding onto his hand so tight, she could feel herself trembling with each step she took. When it was time for him to board, he dropped his bag and turned to the woman he loved with all his heart. Tears were already clouding her eyes again and her lips were trembling to say something to him. Yet, no words could describe the feeling she felt, the loneliness, the pain and the fear deep down within her. Tristan sniffed, her pain reaching his heart and mixing in one with his. Unable to take it in anymore, he pulled her into a tight hug where she drained her eyes uncontrollably in his arms.

“I love you,” he could only say, wishing it would take her pain away, but it didn’t. It only made it worse. How was she supposed to live alone now? No parents, no siblings, no boyfriend. But they were already calling on passengers and Tristan definitely did not have the time to comfort her. She knew this and was forced to pull away. Her face had turned red and her nose even redder. Her fair skin seemed to be reacting to something but he knew better. He caressed her cheek and used his thumb to wipe her tears, pushing back her blonde hair behind her ears.

“I love you too,” she managed to say, her voice breaking at every word.

“I will be back to take you with me,” he said and turned his eyes to the direction passengers were heading to. They had been calling for passengers for a while and he was going to miss the flight if he didn’t go soon.

“I promise…” he entered again, placed a kiss on her forehead and was about to run off when Danica pulled him back, crashed her lips on his and took in everything like it was going to be the very last time. His scent that was always more like black coffee, his breath always like mint and the taste of his lips. But he was in a hurry and he had pulled away before she could fill her lungs and had sped off, leaving her behind.

She watched in horror as he ran till, he was out of sight. Dejected, she turned back to continue what misery her life would be like from now on. She walked straight into the streets and sniffed hard when tears threatened to fall down her cheeks again. she needed to pull herself together. He was not going to die, and the fear of being alone was not going to kill her or eat her up. It was stupid to think that it would but how could she help it when she had never been alone before.

No matter how she tried, the tears were bent on coming down her cheeks and the more she tried to hold it in, the more a fierce pain struck her chest. In agony of love d one far away and a lonely life ahead, her knees buckled and weakened. She needed a sit at least, but there was not a single one available. So, she bent down, clutching her chest tightly and crying her eyes out. This time, it was not the tears meant for Tristan but tears that came with the pain driving deep within her chest, suffocating her and threatening to steal her breath as she began to pant heavily.

Danica did not know how long she remained there, but the pain drove her and it didn’t let up. she cried and tried to ask for help, but each move she made threatened to send her to her own death. So, she remained there, whimpering, crying and silently praying for help while her consciousness slowly faded away with each minute oxygen left her body. Yet she held it.

“Hey…” a familiar voice called out to her and someone suddenly stood beside her. His voice pulled her like a string to hold onto her consciousness.

“Hey…” he called out again, filling her heart with joy, joy of his return. He didn’t leave after all. Feeling safe, better, secure enough to know that he was there. she didn’t have to feel this pain anymore, but the pain persists, and pulled her even further.

“Tristan,” she managed to call out to him and tried to move, but her pain withheld her and darkness pulled at the back of her mind, hovering like a shadow, ready to take her. Like he knew she couldn’t, he bent down beside her, giving her some kind of warmth. But with this warmth came a strange scent, it was not coffee but was rather of cinnamon and spice. Disappointed, she gave in.
