We drove away from the restaurant, and as we left, I looked back at the destruction, the corpse-littered street, and the sounds of sirens from approaching police patrol cars. "this is a mess, boss," Akeem said as he looked back too. "This is the start of something else," I replied.

"We need to get to the Kabal, this couldn't have happened without their greenlight. " I repeated. I felt the world crashing down around me, everything I built was about to be destroyed and I was helpless. Kaz must have seen this in my eyes, he could always tell what I was thinking, and years in prison didn't change that. He grabbed me by the shoulder, encouraging me not to give up.

"This is not the time to overthink things, brother. We are here, your family is here with you, and we are going to do this together... We are the Badurs, brother, and this is our city. Nobody, not even the Kabal is going to take it from us!" he said.

"Nobody!" Akeem chorused.
