*Mia Taylen Gideon's POV*
---
"Valerie, yeah, it's me. Get in here closer." I whispered in response, and she seemed to obey, then I heard footsteps getting nearer to where I am. And, I took off my baseball cap and sunglasses, so I could have a better view of them.
"Mia? Oh, my gosh! What are you doing there? Now, I am almost believing that you are a freaking ghost or a vampire. Why the heck are you there? Wait a sec. I will open the latches." She replied and ranted, and I think I need to hold on tight to the rails if ever she will attack me. It's better to be prepared than sorry, right? Because, damn, it's more than a freaking hundred feet down if I fall.
"Surprise!" I greeted her, and she stepped back anxiously which made me look at her in confusion.
*Craig Wyatt Einar's POV*---Another shot of whiskey for another minute that passed since she left me. And, another one for the more than a hundredth time that I have called her number, yet I have nothing. I do want to scream, cry, and break whatever that I got near my hold, but I can't destroy this only thing in my hold that I treat as my most valuable thing. Everything that I hold dear is here. Our moments together. But... Where is she? Where is she who told me that she loves me, too? Where is she who used to always make me smile? Where is she who I want to hold forever? Are the things that have happened to us be memories and pictures only? No. I can't take it. I can never accept it. I need her. I need my Mia.Maia, where are you, love? Why don't you just come back here in my arms? I need you more than you can think of.
*Craig Wyatt Einar's POV* --- "Hi, where are you, girls, going?" I asked my girl's best friends when they came out with the dog on a leash, and Valerie went to lock the door behind her. "Uh... We're so sorry, Mr. Einar. Mia is not coming back here. Ever. She left to go somewhere." Tesla answered apologetically, and it made me quite confused for a moment. Didn't they tell me that she is heading here earlier from the bus stop? "What? Where? Where would she go?" I asked them with my puzzled reaction, and Tesla averted her attention to the huge dog in her hold. And Valerie answered, "Far. Somewhere far, sir. And, we are sorry to tell you that we cannot tell you where exactly, because... We don't know either. She didn't mention it. She kn
*Mia Taylen Gideon's POV*---"Are you really so damn sure about this, girl?" Tesla asked me for the seventh time for the last five minutes, while I have been typing my message to the stubborn man outside my flat, on my phone. And the little bit irritated ginger answered her, "Tes, how many times do you have to ask her that question?""Till she says no, Val. So... Now, Mia, are you really sure about what you are about to do? I mean, it's a once-in-a-lifetime decision to make and should be thought of thoroughly." The persistent girl asked again, and I put down my phone on the table to give her the attention that she seeks about my sinking ship with the person that I had an affair with during my disappearance. Then I inhaled deeply be
*Mia Taylen Gideon's POV* --- I looked at the familiar gorgeous woman, who is sitting in front of me, in awe, and she has been smiling her usual pretty smile. "Matt? Mattel Lewis? You still remembered me? No, should I say... Maeve Clyborne?" I asked her in surprise as I never really thought that she could recognize me. "Why not? That was just eight years and five months, girl. Who could forget? You even remembered my name. Names. And, talking about names. Call me the usual." She replied while chuckling softly, and I nodded my head with my wide smile in response. Well, this stunning creature was my colleague back at the diner fronting the Pryce Winsley Academy, where we used to study a couple of years ago. Then I noticed that the pers
*Craig Wyatt Einar's POV*---"No, this is not possible." The woman, who I used to call mine, uttered in disbelief as she walked out of her room and saw me for the first time after almost four months of disappearance.I stood up from the couch to make her see me clearly that I am well."Craig?" She spoke while wearing a face with mixed reactions; shock, doubt, and sorrow. Then I nodded my head in response while smiling at her."Umm, I will just head out and---" The man, who has let me in, let out, but I cut him off, "No, it's okay, Kevin. I won't be staying long. I just need to get something from your girlfriend."And the man nodded his head lightly in response and gestured to tell that
*Craig Wyatt Einar's POV* --- "Craig. Son, that's enough. It's too early in the morning to be drinking booze. You haven't even eaten breakfast. And, I am not so sure that you did sleep last night. I believe it is gonna be okay. Give me that bottle." The woman who gave birth to me told me as she has seen me drowning my miserable self in alcohol again. I just woke up from an hour of sleep from overthinking everything that I am going through. I don't even give a fuck about my aching head from drinking lots of spirits last night. I thought I could forget her if I get too drunk to be thinking about us, yet I even cried out while looking at all our pictures on my phone like a hundred times and staying in our mini-ship right outside the lawn. And, now, I am looking at our pictures again and again. I won't get tired of it. Yes, I am
*Mia Taylen Gideon's POV*---A deep sigh escaped my lips as I stared at the mountains where the mighty sun is on its way to make some other places on Earth morning again. It's the ninth sunset that I am looking at all alone, and I feel so blue even if the scenery before me surely is wonderful. We used to stare and appreciate the beauty of nature together while in each others' hold. And I just missed him so much. That's it. Because whenever I can witness this view, all I think about is him. Well, honestly, it's always him who is on my mind every second and every minute that passes since the time that I left him. I just can't force my mind and heart to forget him, no matter how hard I try. And these pictures on my phone don't help at all."That's the two thousand seven hun
*Craig Wyatt Einar's POV*---The sound of every stroke of the pencil touching the paper is the only thing that I could hear, and I do love the sound of it. It's almost silent. And it's my only escape from the busy yet lonely world here in the office whenever the dismissal time comes. After sketching a few more touches of my masterpiece of the week, I let out a sigh as my gaze turned to the area where the owner of the face that I have been sketching for the last hour, used to sit and wait for any order that I will tell her. And a smile crept on my face as I remembered those times when she sits there, facing her computer, and wearing her grumpy face whenever I let her do something twice or thrice again and again just to mess up with her.Oh, Maia, when can I finally see you agai
