Chapter One Hundred and Fourteen- Jason's own trauma

Jason's point of view.

"You'll be discharged on probation due to the only witness having a faulty memory," The lawyer told Dude during our short visit to the prison, "That's enough to get you released on probation at least."

That happened the day after we found Meda. I was still a bit out of it, the whole conversation, the reward I promised Dude if he helped me find my wife. I just wanted to go back to the hospital.

Dude stood up and shook the hand of the lawyer, "Thank you very much. I appreciate it," He said, the grin on his face was so wide and bright. It made me almost want to smile as well.

Once the lawyer was gone, the smile disappeared from my face.

"That lawyer is from one of the best firms in the US. I'm sure he would do his best to get you out of here so don't worry," I sighed, before I got up from my own chair and stretched my hand towards him.
