One hundred and forty-seven

Sally's POV

My whole life has been a lie. I can't even handle this right now. Slowly, lowering myself to the mat, I sat and stared at the flashbacks of my life before and after everything that had happened.

I remember my grandmother always saying that I was royalty in their eyes, supposed to rule the world with Ryan's pack. And she continued to emphasize the two nouns, King and queen.

Also, every summer vacation when I was young, my grandfather would show me off to his guests, which made me feel very uncomfortable. And it got to the point where I remember my mother having to take me for a walk every time someone passed by.

"And I know you saw something in your dream, Sally. You looked pale when you walked in here." She was silent for a while. "Is that your mate? Did he call you?"

My silence is the answer. Even though I tried to deny the fear that the dream brought me, I couldn't, it still lingered in my mind. The image of Ryan covered in blood and pain, stuck.

At least I have to know
