Third person POV

"Let's go." She spoke with finality and switched to the second skin.

Arriving there, they found Albert and the rest. And the first thing Sally said was. “Where is Ryan?”

Everyone was dumbfounded.

Her face stiffened at their sudden silence. “You're all here, but none of you know where he is.”

Her voice lowered. “What happened to be able to link minds?”

“We tried to contact him but he did not respond.”

Sally frowned, suspicious. She looked around. “Can you guys link up?”

It looked as if they were trying to communicate with each other through their minds, and they looked frustrated by it.

“No,” Linus said.

She is upset.

“There is magic here, blocking all of the swarm's mental links to each other.”

Sally looked at something behind Allen. “Is that my sword?”

The boy nodded with a slight smile. “My mom said you'd be here, so…” He handed the weapon to Sally.

“Thank you, Allen. Remind me to thank your mother too.” She slings the sword behind her back before telling the boys t
