CH53 - Cedric's POV

I’m glad that Dereck has agreed to help. This is unfamiliar territory for all three of us, but it will benefit me more if I just accept that these two are going to keep sneaking off behind my back. With Dereck aiding me, Kai will see that accepting things will make being here enjoyable. Perhaps he will finally accept me, too. Beyond that, it means I can keep an eye on these two, and make sure they follow my rules.

I had to talk with Caleb to make him understand that Kai’s very important to me, though he still wasn’t all that happy with his daughter being pushed down. Thankfully, that’s all Kai did. I’ll explain things in a deeper context to Anita come the morning. I’m sure she will understand why Kai did what he did. Until then, they're still upset with me, but not so angry that they're willing to start a fight.
