Chapter 30 Gator
The metahuman’s reptilian eyes regarded us carefully before it threw one of its octopus arms towards us. Jack pushed us both to the side and we scrambled to our feet to run. The gator metahuman bellowed behind us.
“Nathalia!” Skyr’s voice boomed from my earpiece. “Nathalia, speak to me if you can hear me. What’s going on? I see you running with Jack.”
“General? General! We need to leave immediately. A metahuman is attacking us!” I yelled out in a panic as Jack and I jumped on top of the roof of a storage building. We stood with our backs facing each other nervously as we kept a lookout at the gator.
“Tell him we need backup. This metahuman can camouflage.” Jack says and I pressed the call button and relayed the same message that Jack just said to Skyr

The afternoon training went by without a hitch and Skyr no longer bothered me after that. Moreover, it felt like he was being conscious of me because I kept catching him sneaking glances at me.As I was preparing myself to leave, Eva grabbed my arm.
