LOGINELIAS’ POV
Sleeping with Rowan just few feets away from me was a complete torture. His strong Alpha scent was making my wolf stir, creating a lot of lustful and Forbidden thoughts in my head. I had always been composed around Alphas, Betas and Gamma despite being an Omega but something about Rowan’s scent and aura was messing with my Omega instinct. He was sleeping shirtless across from me like it was nothing while I was trying so hard to stop myself from jumping on his bones. The suppressants were the only thing holding me back. There was no way I was going to survive being in this room with him for an entire session. A member of the Crescent Pack was the last person I would want finding out my secret. Immediately it was sunrise, I jumped off the bed and went into the bathroom to use my suppressants. As I opened the bathroom door, I jumped back in fear, holding my chest. “Fuck.” “Why are you so scared? Are you hiding something in there?” He pushed past me and walked into the bathroom. My racing heart began to return to its normal rate as I watched Rowan looking around the room and eyeing me suspiciously. I used that moment to take a good look at him and I regretted I did. His body was huge and well craved like that of a Greek God with his sleeve tattoo extending all the way to his chest. His disheveled dirty brown hair made him look more sexy. Carlos was scratching to come out and submit entirely to him, so I quickly bolted out of the bathroom. I made my way to the receptionist office and placed my student ID on the counter. “I think there must be a mistake in the dorm assignment. I can't share a room with Rowan Vale.” “Why? Is there a problem?” She said as she looked up from the computer screen and brought her glasses down to sit on the bridge of her nose. “Yes, a big one.” I placed my palms on the counter. “He's from Crescent pack.” Before she could respond, a familiar deep voice came from the doorway behind me. “You say that like it's a disease.” My body stiffened before I turned to see him leaning on the doorframe, arms folded and amusement written all over his face. He was clothed in a simple T-shirt but his muscles were threatening to burst out of the fabric. I shook my head and focused on the issue at hand. “Why are you here?” “You think I want to share a room with a Silverhaven heir too?” He raised his eyebrows at me. The receptionist cleared her throat to interrupt us. “Mr. Thorne, Mr. Vale, there's nothing I can do to help you. All room assignments are fixed until the mid-term term break. You two will have to adapt to each other till then.” “Adapt?” I repeated, my tone sharper than I intended. “With him?” “Relax, Perfect Alpa. I don't bite, unless you ask me to.” He smirked. I clenched my finger in a fist. “This isn’t funny.” “The situation isn't but watching the perfect Alpha lose his cool is hilarious.” He chuckled. I was getting angrier by the minute and the word perfect Alpha was ticking me off. It was obvious he got that from all the rumours about me. “Would you stop calling me that? My name is Elias.” I glared at him. “That's for me to decide, Perfect Alpha.” He met my stares and smirked before turning to the receptionist. “Thank you for your help, Katilyn. We'll come back during the mid term break.” He gave me a look before walking out of the office. I sighed in frustration and turned back to Katilyn. “Can you just help me check? There must be another room available. I'll even pay…” “Mr. Thorne,” Katilyn cut in, “There's nothing I can do. We don't give special treatment to anyone here, you have to wait till the mid term breaks.” “Fine,” I grumbled as I grabbed my Student ID from the counter. As I turned to leave, her voice stopped me. “People who complained about their roommates in the past end up becoming best friends and request to be paired together for the rest of the session.” She smiled before turning back to her computer. Rowan and I? Best friends? That was never going to happen. Just one night with him and I was so close to losing my cool. I just had to endure till the mid term breaks, so get the hell away from him. ******************************************* Later that morning, all the students were instructed to gather at the Great Hall for orientation assembly. The hall was breathtaking, with marble floors and banners representing each pack hanging in perfect symmetry, the air thick with power, pride and too many alpha scents colliding together like a storm. I stood with the Silverhaven heirs, Lucan, my Beta-in-training and best friend since childhood, and Jace, the Gamma's son. Both carried the Silverhaven crest on their jackets with the same unshakable pride my father expected from all of us. Lucan elbowed me lightly. “You good? “Yeah,” I lied, keeping my head up and gaze forward. They were standing right across from us. The Crescent Pack heirs. Rowan was the tallest among them, his easy confidence and aura clashing sharply against the icy arrogance of his older brother, Adrian Vale. Adrian was loud, commanding, his presence demanded attention, and every time his gaze swept across the room, weaker wolves looked away. Rowan on the other hand was more relaxed. He looked like he would rather be anywhere else but here and somehow our eyes kept finding each other. Every time they did, my stomach twisted and my wolf became restless. My father's voice echoed in my head every single time an improper thought popped in my head. “Stay away from Crescent Pack. They are nothing but trouble.” Yeah, too late for that. A sudden murmur began from the end of the hall. The crowd parted into two as she made her way to the front with her entourage behind her. Selena Drake, sister to the Alpha of Moon Hollow Pack, one of the strongest packs after Silverhaven Pack. “Damn, she's gorgeous,” Lucan muttered behind me. I couldn't argue with that fact. Her long golden hair shimmered under the chandeliers like liquid sunlight, her ocean blue eyes were cold and bright with confidence at the same time, if that was even possible. “Gorgeous and dangerous,” Jace murmured. “I heard she is looking for a mate this session. Imagine being that lucky bastard.” Selena was every Alpha’s dream but definitely not mine. It might be because I was an Omega but nothing about her was attractive to me. Despite all that, I had to chase her because my father was crystal clear two nights ago. “Win Selena Drake’s heart. Mark her as your mate. With the Moon Hollow beside us, no one would dare to challenge Silverhaven.” As if fate decided to mock me further, Adrian Vale started moving toward her with an annoying smirk on his lip. He stood in front of her with his hands shoved in his pocket as his height towered over her. He began to speak but Selena’s polite smile told me everything I needed to know. She wasn't impressed. Then something unexpected happened. She walked past him and moved toward my direction. The entire hall was dead silent, even my wolf froze. Selena stopped a few feet away, her perfume mixing with her natural Alpha scent, it was sweet, alluring and commanding. “You must be Elias Thorne,” she said in a smooth and melodic voice. “I've heard so much about you.” “Good things, I hope,” I said, with my composure oozing with confidence and aura. Her smile deepened. “Great things actually. I have a thing for Alphas who are perfectionist and exceptional, so I was hoping we could get to know each other better.” Little did they know that I had to be perfect and exceptional because I couldn't afford to make any mistakes. Lucan elbowed me again. “You lucky bastard.” I ignored him and replied to her. “Sure.” I took her hand and kissed the back of it, making her smile widened. Across the room, Adrian stood frozen. Then his expression darkened, his jaw flexing with restrained fury. I could feel his eyes burning holes through me. Just like that, I knew that I made an enemy for myself on my second day. And to make it worse, it had to be from Crescent Pack. The same Pack I was supposed to stay away from. The universe was truly against me.ELIAS’S POVI knocked once before entering my father’s study. He was standing by the window with his hands clasped behind his back, staring out at the training grounds below. The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across the room, but his posture was relaxed.“Father,” I said.He turned and walked to sit behind his desk. “You look like you have news.”“I do.” I inhaled. “Rowan, Gabriel, and Gabriella are coming to Silverhaven. They plan to represent their Packs and formally seek peace.”For a moment, he said nothing. Then, to my surprise, a slow smirk curved his lips.“So,” he said calmly, “they finally got some sense.”I frowned slightly. “You’re not surprised that they are coming all the way here?”“Not at all,” he replied. “An alliance between Silverhaven and Moon Hollow was bound to unsettle them. Crescent Pack has always relied on intimidating their opponents. They already noticed that it was going to work, hence the peace talk.” He chuckled.“So what are you going to do?” I as
ROWAN’S POV It had been a week since Gabriella woke up and since the truth behind Elias’s failed presentation had been dragged into the open and paraded before every pack who were planning to use that against Alpha Killian.Elias wouldn't stop thanking me for being his Knight in a shiny fur and saving him from a lifetime humiliation. That morning, Gabriella sent a message that she, Gabriel, and her father would be arriving at Crescent Pack the following day.I didn’t want Adrian to be around because of the purpose of the meeting, knowing fully well that he would kick against it and only make things difficult. So I did the only sensible thing that I could think of. I went to Gamma Caleb. His private residence was quiet when I arrived, the kind of quiet that came from power being exercised behind closed doors. He was already expecting me since I had texted him beforehand about my visit. He was sitting by the window with a cup of tea like he had no worries.“You’re earlier than expecte
ELIAS’S POV “You have been awake for three weeks?” My eyes widened in surprise. “Why didn’t anyone say anything?”“My parents wanted me to fully recover before letting anyone know,” She replied as she sat up on her bed.“I'm so sorry you had to go through that because of me. if only..” I started, but she cut me off.“Elias, stop that,” she ordered with her Alpha tone. “This is not your fault. Selena was just crazily obsessed and lost her mind. I'm glad you found someone better as your mate.”I smiled and nodded.“So how did the investigation go?” Rowan asked, changing the topic. “Did the Priestess confess to it?”I sighed in relief with a huge smile on my face. “Yes, she did. My parents are going to be holding a press conference soon, and the offenders will be banished.”“Thank God.” Gabriella breathed out in relief. “I was really worried about you.”There was a stretched silence between us as we all stared at each other.“You still haven't told us the reason why you requested this c
ROWAN’S POV Breakfast was going smoothly as usual and I was checking my phone every minute to get any update from Elias.I felt a little bad that I lied to Elias about how I actually got the recording but it was something he didn't need to know.“Rowan, you have been leaving the Mansion and pack too often,” My mom started. “You are on your break, you should be resting.”“It has to do with the well being of the pack, so it's important that I go,” I replied.“That's your brother's job. He's the future Alpha of Crescent Pack, he should be the one worrying about the well being of the pack, all you have to do is support him,” she reminded for the 100th time.I nodded because there was no point arguing. That was something she has been driving in my skull since I was old enough to understand what it meant. No matter what, I love my mother unconditionally because I understand what she was trying to do. She loved us both equally but she thought it was only right that Adrian should be the next
ELIAS’S POV I froze at the sound of the familiar voice, and then I realised there was no point in hiding anymore. I stood up slowly and met his intimidating stares. My head automatically bowed at his domineering aura.“Father.”He held his hands behind his back. “Did you really think I wouldn't sense you? You are my flesh and blood who grew up under my watch. I can sense you from miles away.” He was right. I should have known that I couldn't hide from him when I was in the palace or anywhere close to him.“I'm sorry.” I bowed again. “I was just too ashamed to face you.” “Then why did you come back?” He asked, and I glanced up to look at him while my brain was spinning, searching for the perfect excuse. Then something immediately popped into my head. “My mother. I came to see her,” I lied smoothly as I tried to steady my heartbeat, so he wouldn't notice. “I was worried that she would be disappointed and sad.”“She definitely is.” He nodded and stepped closer. “Your mother's room is
ELIAS’S POV The moment Kael’s voice rang through the conference room, I could feel the tension in the air from where I was standing in the other room. There was murmuring in the room and I heard people asking who he was and why he had an aura scent.“Who the hell are you?” Alpha Killian’s voice thundered, “How dare you barge into my conference room uninvited?”“My Alpha…” Kael started.“I did not give you permission to speak,” my father snapped. “You smell like a warrior. I know all the warriors in this pack. Which pack are you from? Are you a spy?”There was a complete silence as everyone was waiting for Kael’s answer. He didn’t respond and I heard my father's voice thundered in the room.“Seize him and lock him up until he talks.”The door was pushed open and warriors rushed in. “Shit,” I muttered underneath my breath as I tried to think of a way out for Kael and Thea but I was blank.“Stop.” The Head Warrior's voice made me freeze and I could tell everyone in that room too did.“A
