ROWAN'S POV

“Who the fuck does he think he is? What does he have that I don't?” Adrian threw the ball in the basketball court at the window, making the glass shatter into a million pieces.

I didn't flinch as I watched him pace around the court. He has been pissed off since the morning assembly. Selena ignoring him to talk to Elias really hurt his pride and my brother doesn't like getting his pride hurt.

“He's Elias Thorne from Silverhaven Pack, You know, the perfect Alpha,” Jared, my brother's best friend and our father's Beta son said as he sat next to me.

It was a rumour across all Packs that the Silverhaven future Alpha was perfect in every way. He's strong, dominant, fast and smart. Oh, I forgot to mention that he is also very good looking too.

Seeing in the room shirtless was one of the hottest sights I've seen and I would be crazy to deny that.

He said to have gone through the most intense Alpha's training. Coming to Mortlach Academy was probably a way of his father to show off his heir to the others and keeping their legacy as the strongest Pack.

“What makes him so perfect? I can literally do anything he can do.” Adrian continued.

I lifted my head from my phone. “Why don't you prove that at the opening match tomorrow?”

He paused and turned to me. “That's a good idea. I'm going to make sure I crush his team into dust so that Selena would see that he's nothing compared to me.”

“It might not be that easy though.” I stood up from the bench and walked toward him with my hands shoved in my pocket.

“What the hell do you mean?” His face became red with anger. “Are you saying I'm not strong enough to beat Elias?”

“It's not that, it's because I'm going to be on the same team as him.” I announced.

“You don't know that yet,” Jared interrupted. “Only roommates are fixed to be on the same team. The staff assign everyone to different teams, so you don't know if you will be on Elias’s team.”

I remained quiet and kept staring at Adrian until his eyes widened in realisation. “He's your roommate?”

“Yeah.” I shrugged. “We requested for a change this morning but they refused.”

“That sucks.” Jared shook his head. “I can't imagine being paired with a Silverhaven brat, not to talk of the “Perfect” one.” He air quoted the word Perfect.

Adrian turned away and walked back and forth while stroking his chin. Jared and I watched in silence, awaiting his response.

“This could work in our favour,” Adrain suddenly said and stopped in front of me. “You can easily get access to him and get any information about him.”

I raised my eyebrows at Adrian when I got what he was insinuating. I was never the one to play dirty games and I won't start now.

“If you are trying to tell him to spy on him, my answer is no.” I turned to walk out of the basketball court.

“Even if the future of the Crescent pack is depending on it?” Adrian's voice stopped me and I swerve my head to look at him.

I was more confused than curious by his statement because I was 200% sure that Adrian only wants to defeat Elias out of pride and it has nothing to do with the pack's future. So what was he driving at?

“The future of the Pack? How does Elias affect the future of our Pack?” I furrowed my eyebrows.

“Because he is an heir of Silverhaven Pack, and they are the biggest enemy to Crescent pack.” He moved closer and held my shoulder. “You know it has been our father's dream to destroy Silverhaven because of what they did to us 30 years ago. We can help him achieve that dream through Elias. Think about it.”

He was right. Silverhaven had made our people suffer 30 years ago. The fall of Elias Thorne is the fall of the entire Thorne family and the Silverhaven Pack.

Looking into my brother's eyes, all I could was pride and jealousy for Elias. But then, if he manages to get Selena as his mate, it will be a great advantage in taking over Silverhaven Pack.

“Fine.” I took a deep breath. “But on one condition, you are going to let me do things my own way.”

His smile widened. “That won't be a problem. As long as I have something to make the Perfect Alpha unfit to be an Alpha by the end of the session.”

“Trust me, you'll get it,” I answered with the zeal and determination burning in me.

“That's settled then.” He laughed out loud. “See you on the field tomorrow. May the best team win.” He walked out of the basketball court, leaving me to my thoughts.

‘Are we really doing this?’ Louis, my wolf asked.

“Yes, we are,” I responded. “It's high time Silverhaven suffered for what they did to us.”

I could feel the anger burning in my bones as I recalled the stories my father told us of what the Silverhaven did to our pack.

Elias Thorne, your people have to pay for their crimes and you have to go down for it to happen.

After completing the registration of all my classes, I went back to the dorm to see Elias sitting on his desk with his laptop open in front of him.

He glanced at me before turning back to focus on whatever he was doing on the laptop.

I was about to lay on my bed when an idea popped in my head. I cleared my throat to get Elias attention as I walked closer to him.

“Can we talk for a minute?” I asked as I perched on the edge of his desk.

He raised his eyebrows at me before nodding and folding his hand. “I'm all ears.”

“I know we both don't like being roommates but it's something we can't change, so I was hoping we just put aside our Pack differences and try to get along.”

His face scrunched in confusion. “Why? I thought you guys hated us.”

“I'm just not the type to hold a grudge over something that happened years before I was born and besides both Packs have agreed to live in peace, there's no point hating each other over something that we didn't even know about,” I continued and he nodded in understanding.

I could tell that I was starting to get to him.

“it's good to know that you think that way.”

“So are we good?” I stretched my hand out to him and he stared at it for a while before he eventually took it.

Our eyes locked as we stared at each other like we were trying to figure each other out. I could see in his eyes that he doesn't trust me completely which was understandable but I planned to change that soon.

In a split second, his face began to turn red as he quickly removed his hand from mine like it was burning him.

He stood up and turned towards the restroom but I grabbed his hand to stop him.

“Are you okay? You look unwell.”

He shook my hand off almost instantly. “I'm fine,” he replied and rushed into the bathroom.

What was that?

  • Submission in Secret: Alpha In Heat   Chapter 5

ELIAS'S POVMy heart hammered in my heart as the door slightly opened. This was it. It was finally over. All my mother's effort to make me the Perfect Alpha for Silverhaven Pack was going to be in vain “Rowan!” someone yelled and he stopped. “The coach needs you to discuss the plan for the next round.”Rowan sighed. “Tell him to give me a minute, I'll…”“He said now.” There was a pause before Rowan groaned and shut the door back. “Elias, hurry up and come back to the field,” he yelled before I heard him running out.The moment his footsteps faded, I rushed to lock the door before I slumped against the tiled wall, chest rising and falling fast. My entire body was hot and trembling from the heat.“Fuck…” I whispered as the heat became unbearable and my entire body was aching with need. The suppressants I used before the match were not doing anything to help. It had never lost control like this. Rowan’s touch and scent were able to destroy the control I'd built all these years. This w

ELIAS’ POVThe morning air was filled with excitement as the entire school gathered on the field for the school opening contest, which I heard was the most anticipated event of Mortlach Academy. It was a battle of strength, speed and dominance among the male students that decided who stood at the top in the leaderboard in the beginning of the session. It was a chance for every pack heir to prove they were worthy of their titles. Topping the leader board in my first contest would at least make my father proud and my mom at ease that I was fitting in well.As I tightened the laces of my boots, my wolf, Carlos, muttered in my head, ‘Try not to faint when they start releasing their Alphas's scents.’“You're not helping,” I hissed under my breath From the corner of my eyes, I saw Rowan standing a few feet away from me, stretching his arms, the muscles in his back flexing under his White and Silver Jersey, which was our team colour. His strong scent of Cedarwood and stormy rain was heavy

ELIAS’ POVSleeping with Rowan just few feets away from me was a complete torture. His strong Alpha scent was making my wolf stir, creating a lot of lustful and Forbidden thoughts in my head.I had always been composed around Alphas, Betas and Gamma despite being an Omega but something about Rowan’s scent and aura was messing with my Omega instinct. He was sleeping shirtless across from me like it was nothing while I was trying so hard to stop myself from jumping on his bones. The suppressants were the only thing holding me back. There was no way I was going to survive being in this room with him for an entire session. A member of the Crescent Pack was the last person I would want finding out my secret.Immediately it was sunrise, I jumped off the bed and went into the bathroom to use my suppressants. As I opened the bathroom door, I jumped back in fear, holding my chest.“Fuck.”“Why are you so scared? Are you hiding something in there?” He pushed past me and walked into the bathroo

ELIAS’ POVThe hum of the car engine filled the suffocating silence that always came before my father decided to speak. My eyes were fixed on the tinted windows but I could still see the faint outline of the mountain ahead. We were on our way to Mortlach Academy, a place that shaped leaders, warriors and heirs that the world expected me to be. Every heir had to attend the moment they turned 21 and I just became of age to attend.“Elias, you are not just my son anymore, you are the future Alpha of Silverhaven Pack. Every move you make reflects on our Pack. Do you understand?”“Yes sir.” I kept my head up as my fingers dug into the seat to head my nervousness. He didn't look at me which was usual whenever he was lecturing me. “You are the future Alpha of the biggest pack, they will challenge your authority, strength and bloodline. You should never show any sign of weakness or flaws that can be used against our Pack.”Weakness. That word always hit me hard. My heart rate increased and I
