LOGINROWAN'S POV
“Who the fuck does he think he is? What does he have that I don't?” Adrian threw the ball in the basketball court at the window, making the glass shatter into a million pieces. I didn't flinch as I watched him pace around the court. He has been pissed off since the morning assembly. Selena ignoring him to talk to Elias really hurt his pride and my brother doesn't like getting his pride hurt. “He's Elias Thorne from Silverhaven Pack, You know, the perfect Alpha,” Jared, my brother's best friend and the Beta Heir of Crescent Pack said as he sat next to me. It was a rumour across all Packs that the Silverhaven Alpha heir was perfect in every way. He's strong, dominant, fast and smart. Oh, I forgot to mention that he is also very good looking too. Seeing in the room shirtless was one of the hottest sights I've seen and I would be crazy to deny that. He said to have gone through the most intense Alpha's training. Coming to Mortlach Academy was probably a way of his father to show off his heir to the others and keeping their legacy as the strongest Pack. “What makes him so perfect? I can literally do anything he can do.” Adrian continued. I lifted my head from my phone. “Why don't you prove that at the opening match tomorrow?” He paused and turned to me. “That's a good idea. I'm going to make sure I crush his team into dust so that Selena would see that he's nothing compared to me.” “It might not be that easy though.” I stood up from the bench and walked toward him with my hands shoved in my pocket. “What the hell do you mean?” His face became red with anger. “Are you saying I'm not strong enough to beat Elias?” “It's not that, it's because I'm going to be on the same team as him.” I announced. “You don't know that yet,” Jared interrupted. “Only roommates are fixed to be on the same team. The staff assign everyone to different teams, so you don't know if you will be on Elias’s team.” I remained quiet and kept staring at Adrian until his eyes widened in realisation. “He's your roommate?” “Yeah.” I shrugged. “We requested for a change this morning but they refused.” “That sucks.” Jared shook his head. “I can't imagine being paired with a Silverhaven brat, not to talk of the “Perfect” one.” He air quoted the word Perfect. Adrian turned away and walked back and forth while stroking his chin. Jared and I watched in silence, awaiting his response. “This could work in our favour,” Adrain suddenly said and stopped in front of me. “You can easily get access to him and get any information about him.” I raised my eyebrows at Adrian when I got what he was insinuating. I was never the one to play dirty games and I won't start now. “If you are trying to tell him to spy on him, my answer is no.” I turned to walk out of the basketball court. “Even if the future of the Crescent pack is depending on it?” Adrian's voice stopped me and I swerve my head to look at him. I was more confused than curious by his statement because I was 200% sure that Adrian only wants to defeat Elias out of pride and it has nothing to do with the pack's future. So what was he driving at? “The future of the Pack? How does Elias affect the future of our Pack?” I furrowed my eyebrows. “Because he is an heir of Silverhaven Pack, and they are the biggest enemy to Crescent pack.” He moved closer and held my shoulder. “You know it has been our father's dream to destroy Silverhaven because of what they did to us 30 years ago. We can help him achieve that dream through Elias. Think about it.” He was right. Silverhaven had made our people suffer 30 years ago. The fall of Elias Thorne is the fall of the entire Thorne family and the Silverhaven Pack. Looking into my brother's eyes, all I could was pride and jealousy for Elias. But then, if he manages to get Selena as his mate, it will be a great advantage in taking over Silverhaven Pack. “Fine.” I took a deep breath. “But on one condition, you are going to let me do things my own way.” His smile widened. “That won't be a problem. As long as I have something to make the Perfect Alpha unfit to be an Alpha by the end of the session.” “Trust me, you'll get it,” I answered with the zeal and determination burning in me. “That's settled then.” He laughed out loud. “See you on the field tomorrow. May the best team win.” He walked out of the basketball court, leaving me to my thoughts. ‘Are we really doing this?’ Louis, my wolf asked. “Yes, we are,” I responded. “It's high time Silverhaven suffered for what they did to us.” I could feel the anger burning in my bones as I recalled the stories my father told us of what the Silverhaven did to our pack. Elias Thorne, your people have to pay for their crimes and you have to go down for it to happen. After completing the registration of all my classes, I went back to the dorm to see Elias sitting on his desk with his laptop open in front of him. He glanced at me before turning back to focus on whatever he was doing on the laptop. I was about to lay on my bed when an idea popped in my head. I cleared my throat to get Elias attention as I walked closer to him. “Can we talk for a minute?” I asked as I perched on the edge of his desk. He raised his eyebrows at me before nodding and folding his hand. “I'm all ears.” “I know we both don't like being roommates but it's something we can't change, so I was hoping we just put aside our Pack differences and try to get along.” His face scrunched in confusion. “Why? I thought you guys hated us.” “I'm just not the type to hold a grudge over something that happened years before I was born and besides both Packs have agreed to live in peace, there's no point hating each other over something that we didn't even know about,” I continued and he nodded in understanding. I could tell that I was starting to get to him. “it's good to know that you think that way.” “So are we good?” I stretched my hand out to him and he stared at it for a while before he eventually took it. Our eyes locked as we stared at each other like we were trying to figure each other out. I could see in his eyes that he doesn't trust me completely which was understandable but I planned to change that soon. In a split second, his face began to turn red as he quickly removed his hand from mine like it was burning him. He stood up and turned towards the restroom but I grabbed his hand to stop him. “Are you okay? You look unwell.” He shook my hand off almost instantly. “I'm fine,” he replied and rushed into the bathroom. What was that? Finally, Elias and Rowan story is officially over, and I have to say it was one hell of a roller coaster ride. What made this ride more enjoyable was your support. ELIAS'S POV Five Years LaterThe morning of the coronation dawned gray and cold, but I didn't feel the chill.I stood at the window of my childhood bedroom, no longer a child's room, but the quarters of the heir who was about to become Alpha. The Silverhaven mansion sprawled below me, servants rushing through the courtyards, guests arriving in sleek black cars. Banners bearing the Silverhaven wolf hung from every lamppost.Today, I would become the Alpha of Silverhaven Pack and the leader of the Big Six.My father had announced his retirement six months ago. The council had debated, the elders had deliberated, and the Moon Goddess had given her sign, a lunar eclipse that bathed the pack lands in silver light, lasting exactly as long as the ceremony would take. There was no question. It was time."Honey, it's time," Rowan said from the doorway.I turned. He leaned against the frame, arms crossed, a small smile playing on his lips. At thirty-nine, he was more handsome than ever, the sh
ELIAS'S POVTen years. That's how long it had been since we graduated from Mortlach Academy. Ten years of weddings and births and pack leadership and late-night group phone calls that always ended with "we need to do this more often."So when Selena suggested we build a vacation house, neutral territory, outside the Big Six packs, no politics allowed everyone said yes.The house was enormous. A sprawling mansion on the edge of a lake, surrounded by forests and mountains. There were enough bedrooms for all of us, plus a game room, a pool, and a backyard that seemed to go on forever.I stood on the porch, watching the chaos unfold.Rowan appeared beside me, slipping his hand into mine. "The kids have been here for twenty minutes, and they've already broken a lamp.""That's a new record.""Lily cried. Micah blamed the twins. The twins blamed each other." He leaned his head on my shoulder. "It's going to be a long week."I grinned. "I can't wait."The first night, we all gathered around t
KAEL'S POVGabriella had decided to stay in Silverhaven instead of returning to Nightbourne Pack after Elias and Rowan's wedding. She said it was because she wanted a break from pack politics. I suspected it was because she wanted to be during the school break.Either way, I wasn't complaining. It benefitted my plans because I had been thinking of how to ask her to stay in Silverhaven without being suspicious. We spent the first week doing nothing at my personal house, sleeping in, cooking together and taking walks in my new neighbourhood. She laughed more than I'd ever seen her laugh and seemed more relaxed, obviously to my plans."You're being weird," Gabriella said one evening, watching me pace the living room."I'm not being weird.""You've been checking your phone every five minutes. You asked me what my favorite flower is. You've been humming the same song all day." She narrowed her eyes. "What are you up to?"I stopped pacing and sighed. “Fine, you caught me. We are going somew
ELIAS'S POVIt took us six months to plan the entire wedding to our satisfaction.Every Alpha from every pack was invited. The guest list stretched across the entire werewolf community, and the ceremony had to be held in the Great Hall of Silverhaven, the only venue large enough to accommodate the hundreds of attendees.I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting my ceremonial robes. White and silver, the colors of Silverhaven Pack. A small wolf's head pin on my lapel, my father's, passed down through generations.Silverhaven has always stuck to their traditional ways of holding wedding ceremonies especially for their future leaders."You look nervous," Kael said from the doorway."I'm not nervous.""Your hands are shaking."I looked down. He was right.Kael walked over and straightened my collar. "He's waiting for you out there. He's been waiting for months, so have you." He met my eyes. "You've got this."I took a breath. "Thanks."He clapped my shoulder and left. The music began, sof
ONE YEAR AND FOUR MONTHS LATER ELIAS'S POV I stood in the graduation gown, the silver tassel brushing my cheek, and looked out at the sea of students and families filling the Mortlach Academy stadium. Beside me, Rowan shifted, his shoulder pressing against mine. He was nervous. I could feel it in the way he kept adjusting his collar, the way his foot tapped against the ground. "Relax, you're going to be fine," I whispered and he nodded before taking a deep breath. The academic awards were announced and I topped the class, no surprise there, given how many nights I'd spent studying instead of sleeping. Rowan had come second, which was nothing short of miraculous considering he'd had to relearn two years of material in less than one. Silva had taken third, and she'd grumbled about it for a full ten minutes before Selena reminded her that top three her final year was nothing to be ashamed of. We concluded the ceremony with all third year students receiving their graduation se
ELIAS’S POV“Are you sure you heard Galvin say that?” I asked and he nodded. My ears couldn't believe it that Galvin would go that far just to destroy me.‘He tried to kill you when you were a kid, why are you surprised by this?’ Carlos pointed out and I nodded.“Lucky for you, I have a recording,”

ROWAN’S POVThat early morning, I slipped out of the Mansion without anyone noticing. It was something I had been doing since I was a teenager and no one ever noticed because they were all focused on Adrian. He was the eldest child.
