“Luigi Romano.” I greet my old friend when I enter his office on the seventh floor of the office building where some of my offices are located as well. Luigi is one of my oldest associates, we actually went to school together, but our paths changed when he became a detective in the police. On my way to the hospital, my mind was all over the place going from one bad thought to the other as my Maserati flew by the other cars on the road. What if someone actually just walked through my security and into my house like everyone else did and attacked Mia? I was going to kill Carlo who was supposed to be in charge of today's shift. "Nice cut." I heard the boy with his potty-cut hair who pointed his head towards me as he showed his friend to look at me. Both of them were about 17 years old and clearly were some of those boys who had no respect and were going to end up on the streets. "Everything went well. Adamo got a little community service and has to do a drug test each day for a month thereafter it will become weekly." Angela sat in on our meeting this morning. "I want to go home." I couldn't get in much sleep last night, I checked in on Mia every half an hour just to be sure she was okay, but she slept through the night. I never know what her next move will be so I have to keep my eye on her so she doesn't do anything that will probably make me flare or spiral into a fucking mess. I threw the pillows stacked in the shape of Mia's body under the linen onto the floor. "Fuck!" I shout as I batter towards where my phone laid on the ground and grab it on my way outside texting Achille to get the word out that Mia was gone and I wanted her found.
