(Celine's POV)
Jace and I arrived at the hotel room as we had drunk about two bottles of champagnes in the car.
I was already intoxicated, and I kept mumbling words that I didn't understand.
Jace wasn't drunk, so he carried me, and I heard him whisper in my ear, "This is so unlike you, babe. You got drunk just by two bottles of champagne, and you normally finished up to five bottles in a day without getting drunk."
"What?!" I gasped in his arms, laughing, and I reminded myself to behave well, not knowing that I said it out loudly.
"I have to be my sister, you know, trying to mimic her now that she is not around. I miss her so much," I said, and Jace looked at my face as he brought me into the hotel room that he wanted us to use for our honeymoon.
"Why not take me home?" I asked him, and he smiled.
"We are home already. Seems like you are drunk too much. We are in our house, my room, which is now our bedroom," Jace gently placed me on the bed, and I thought he was taking me to a hotel for our honeymoon.
"I thought," I hiccupped. "I thought you took me to a hotel for us to have our honeymoon."
I laid on the bed as I was so dizzy to sit down.
Jace rose and stripped off his shirt as I tried to act sober.
"Yes," He said, taking off his clothes.
"We have our reception there at the hotel. But you know that I am a titled man and a politician, which I told you about. So I cannot camp there at the hotel as you wish. I love to have my privacy, and that's why I brought you home for us to continue with our honeymoon," Jace sat on the bed and helped me take off my shoes.
I could feel the soft touches of his hands on my feet, gently removing my shoes, and he spoke to me softly.
"It's our wedding night, Clara. I know how much you desire for this night to arrive." Jace's excited voice filled my ears as he dropped my shoes aside.
Seriously, I had no idea about what my sister and her boyfriend had done in this magnificent home..
Had they been intimate before? I didn't know, and I was kind of nervous about it.
"Clara," Jace brought his face closer to mine, and I inhaled his earthy scent that made me feel so relaxed and giving me assurance that I was safe.
"What are you thinking about? Are you asleep? You don't have to fall asleep yet as the night is just getting started. Wait, let me prepare your bath and help you out of this dress," Jace rose from the bed, and I was so nervous.
*Help me out of my dress?* I pondered as it dawned on me what might happen next.
"Oh no! I can do so by myself," I said as I tried to sit up, but my intoxicated self, rolled away on the bed like a leaf that lost its value. I couldn't even sit, and I blame myself for drinking so much alcohol when I could have told Jace that I don't like wines, not to mention Champagne.
I had tasted it before when I saw my twin sister using it as a bottle of water on most of celebration days.
Clara popped several bottles of champagne and drank them like it was water, and yet, I couldn't withstand only two glasses.
"There you are," Jace's excited voice reached my ear drum, and I felt his hand moved to my back to strip off my wedding dress.
"Jace, can we not have sex tonight?" I asked him, and he froze as he heard my inquiry.
"Why? But you have always wanted us to have sex. Why not tonight?" Jace sounded so disappointed, and I swallowed hard.
Should I tell him the truth that I am not Clara, his real fiancée?
"I don't know. I am just shy," I told him. And honestly, I haven't had sex too. I was too decent and waiting for the right time as I was mostly busy with my bakery shop. Although I had kissed Martin Enzo and engaged in several foreplay with him. But we haven't had sex like real doing the do.
"Clara, I don't know why you're so anxious tonight. You have always wanted me to sleep with you, and now that it's the right time for us to do it, you want us to take a break. Well, no, because we have to make babies, and I am not getting any younger. It wouldn't affect your modelling career, okay. And since Celine, your twin sister, has travelled to help you, don't you think now is the right time for you and I to have a baby," Jace kissed my lips as he queried me, and I was speechless.
"No, Martin. I mean, Jace.."
Jace's face darkened in rage, and he asked me, "Who is Martin? Are you cheating on me, Clara? Is that why you wanted us to postpone the wedding because you have another man?"
Jace moved away from me on the bed, sounding hurt, and I immediately told him, "No, Jace. Please, don't get me wrong. I am sorry. It was a slip of the tongue. You know I am drunk."
Jace sighed and came to meet me on the bed. "Fine, just relax, let me help you to have your bath."
I was silent, watching Jace helped me to undress, then he carried me up from the bed and took me to the bathroom to wash me up.
"Jace," I was intoxicated, calling his name hoarsely, and he replied huskily, "Yes, My love."
"You can call me hubby. When do you start calling me by my name?" Jace asked me as he rubbed the wet liquid soap and sponge over my unclad body.
"Huh," as I felt the water splashed on my head, my eyes subtly widened awake, and I looked at him in shock, seeing him in only his black shorts.
I swiftly looked away from him, and Jace laughed and said, "Honestly, Clara. You are getting me confused by your behaviour. Haven't you seen me náked several times? Why are you acting so shy?"
"Oh no." I knew that Jace will find out once he slept with me and discovered that I am not the real woman that he wanted to marry.
"You got me surprised today. First, with your behaviour. Secondly, without your body."
"My body?" I asked him nervously as he bathed my hands and legs and looked at me intensely.
"Yeah. You seem more chubby, and your brẹasts look more bigger and fuller. Or are my eyes deceiving me? I cannot wait to suck on them," Jace said, and I looked away from him as my face flushed.
He helped me have my bath and switched on the shower. Once he was done bathing me, he carefully assisted me in getting out of the bathtub and told me, "Wait for me on the bed. I cannot wait to ravish you tonight."
Celine's POV:Jace kisses my lips for a while before he parted his lips and gazed into my eyes."Please, you do not have to leave me again," he said, caressing my face, and I lowered my head in shame.I knew that I couldn't refuse Jace's kisses. I have missed him so much."How about Clara? You both are still living together, right?" I asked him, wanting to withdraw my hand, and Jace held me firmly."Yes. But I am going to leave the house for Clara since she doesn't want to go. I only tolerated her because she has a child for me. I am sorry..." Jace said, his voice choked with sobs, like he regretted getting Clara pregnant.I shook my head, not wanting to go back to my past."Clara is my twin sister. I have always wanted her to be happy. I cannot stand in her happiness. I know that I fell for you, but it was all a mistake," I said, as I turned my back on Jace.I did not want to meet his face."It was never a mistake. I know it was a mistake from the beginning, but after we became marri
Celine's POV: "You pervert! How dare you kiss me?" I smacked Jace on his left cheek as I pushed him away from me in front of my chair. I was about to sit down, before he came rushing towards me and he pulled me into a quick kiss. "I'm sorry," Jace said, but I didn't bother to look at his face. I was too embarrassed, too shocked, because I wasn't expecting Jace to kiss me. My heart was beating so loudly in my chest because Jace didn't kiss me in private. He kissed me in the presence of my son, my workers who had rushed to my office to stop him from entering, and also Edwin and his son. They all looked at us with wide eyes, but I adjusted my blue dress properly. "Madam, we tried to stop him, but he was in such a hurry," Becky said, as she wore a white top and black skirt. "It's fine. You all can return to your work, and please take Kaleb along with you. Let me settle this," I said to Becky, without raising my head to look at her face. "Mom..." Kaleb was hesitant to leave, as he
Jace's POV:Edwin made the proposal for me to accompany him to have breakfast at a restaurant which he claimed belonged to his crush, before he took me to the real estate projects that he had been helping me to manage. As Clara had gone back to Turkey Island to continue with her modeling work, since she came here for Edwin's new hotel launch alone, she had jetted back, but I didn't try to act like I knew her."Edwin, is it compulsory that we go to the restaurant first? Why not let us go to the estate to see the houses and how it is now? Then we can come back and have lunch," I said, wanting to skip breakfast, but Edwin refused."No, Jace. I want to see Ann today. Her son fell sick last weekend, and that was why she wasn't able to attend my hotel launch party. But her son is better now," he said as he drove us down to the restaurant."Are you serious about dating a single mother? Do you not worry that her child's father could return to her life and try to win her back against you?" I a
Celine's POVEdwin brought a bag of gifts for my son and apologized, "I am sorry about what happened to your son.""No, it's fine," I said, accepting the gift from his hand. It contained Milo and milk, and Edwin offered me a bright smile."I had to rush down here to come and see you both after hearing what happened to Kaleb. I had been restless wondering why you weren't answering your calls or even coming to the party. You couldn't have imagined how worried sick I was," Edwin spoke with a smile as we went to the ward to see Kaleb, after I kept Edwin's gift in my car at the hospital car park."You don't have to become worried sick about me. I am fine now and so is Kaleb," I said, leading Edwin to Kaleb's ward, and he smiled."That's fine. You are looking prettier in your casual dress and even though you didn't make up your face," Edwin said, and I raised my head and looked at him and smiled."Thanks," I said, and he smiled back."How are you doing, Justin?" I asked Justin just as we ar
Celine's POVWhen I arrived at the hospital, I went straight to the nurses' desk to register for Kaleb's treatment. After a while, he got the appointment to meet with his doctor, Doctor Jerry. He was a young man, probably in his early thirties, and he offered me a warm and reassuring smile after he was done running a series of bodily checks on my son as Kaleb lay on the bed in his office."Doctor, how is my son?" I asked Dr. Jerry anxiously after he was done examining my son."He is just having a hot temperature. Do not worry. He will be fine. I have conducted a few tests on him. He will need to be placed on admission," Dr. Jerry said, and I agreed."Alright."My phone had been buzzing with many incoming calls, and I didn't want to answer any of them at the moment.I knew that Edwin would be disappointed, but Kaleb was my topmost priority at the moment. I cannot ignore my son's health and rush to a party when it was not even a party for kids.I turned off my phone and followed the doc
Clara's POVWhen Brown arrived before the entrance of Edwin's new Hotel, he slowed down his car and parked it along the way."Thank you for the ride," I told him as I unfastened my seat belt to get out of his car."Alright, Clara. Take care," Brown replied while I got out of his car, and waved goodbye at him.I went into the hotel in search of Edwin. The night had fallen, and I still had to see my son. However, as I met with the receptionist and asked for Edwin, "Hello, I am here to see Edwin?"The female receptionist looked at me and asked, "Do you have an appointment with him?""No. He is like a friend to me," I said with a smile."Then give him a call," the receptionist replied, not seeming interested in calling Edwin.I knew that I had Edwin's number, but even as he was best friends with Jace, I hardly gave him a call. With determination, I phoned Edwin's number."Hey, Clara. What's up? I wasn't expecting your call. I just went back to my suite. Any problem?" Edwin asked me at onc
