Chapter 135 - Too Late

Ethan turned to look at Moriah, she was still crying, he hurriedly went to her.

He took her in his arms, however Moriah tried to free herself from his embrace. Ethan tightened his hold.

"If you keep on crying, I will never let go of you," Ethan said against the top of her head. His chest tightened, seeing how devastated Moriah was.

Moriah stopped sobbing nevertheless, after a few seconds later, she began to hiccup. Ethan let go of her and poured water in a cup. He lifted it into Moriah's lips so she could drink.

When Moriah was done drinking the water, he heard knocks on the door.

"Stay here, I'm going to open the door," Ethan said before he strode towards the door.

"Sir," Matthew said once he saw Ethan. Ethan gestured for them to come in.

They followed Ethan as he walked towards Moriah.

Moriah was bewildered why Ethan was with the bodyguards.

"My wife will ask you something," Ethan said to the bodyguards. "Answer her honestly," he said, which made his bodyguards nervous.
