I stared at the corner of the room where Jax used to be. It was empty. He wasn't anywhere. I was sure Jax was the one who saved me from Kay, but he didn't show up when I needed him the most. At least to talk to me and to protect me. Isn't that his job as my bodyguard?

I was just worried. What if Kay returned and did it again because he felt entitled to me and everything I had?
