The news of Mark Arthur's death has spread all over New York. The man who is known as a successful businessman was found dead in a hotel room. Suspected of committing suicide because the hotel CCTV did not show the man entered the hotel with other people. That's what made Jazlyn quite surprised because last night, there was a lot of CCTV that the girl found before arriving at the hotel room.
Jazlyn is still staring at the tv screen that displays the news of Mark Arthur's death. The man he killed last night with her hands. Jazlyn's mind is still haunted by how she shot the man with a gun until he fell covered in blood.
Jazlyn's cell phone rings, Alvin's name appears on the screen. Quickly, the girl picked up the phone call.
Did you hear it? News about Mark Arthur who was found dead in the hotel room," said Alvin, who was now staring at the rows of clothes he was going to wear.
"I was watching the news broadcast about that man," replied Jazlyn with no enthusiasm, still staring at the tv screen showing the hotel last night she shared with him.
"I'll give you the rest of your money on campus. There is a next mission waiting for you," said Alvin casually as he pulled one of the clothes hangers in the cupboard then stepped toward the mirror to make sure the clothes he was wearing were suitable or not.
"I'm afraid," said Jazlyn suddenly making Alvin furrow his brows.
"What are you afraid of? There is nothing you need to worry about because I have cleaned everything up," said Alvin, already trying to wear his black shirt.
"What if they find out what I did? What if I get caught?" asked Jazlyn, turning panicked.
"Calm down! Everything is safe. There is nothing to worry about. Meet me in class after this," said Alvin, who immediately cut off the phone call.Jazlyn looked at her cellphone and threw it on the bed. The girl fell back on her bed. Taking the remote then turning off the tv which had been broadcasting the news of Mark Arthur's death.
The memory of the girl brought her back to the incident last night. The girl killed someone last night. And of course for Jazlyn, who was doing it for the first time, it was something very bad.
The feeling of fear really haunted her now. Many questions arose in her mind. Her cell phone was ringing again. The girl positioned herself to sit down and read the message.
Her enthusiasm disappeared now that she did not remain because a short message containing her mother's hospital bill had appeared. The amount to be paid was quite a lot this time.
Why is life never on his side and always overwhelming him? The girl was now checking the remaining balance in her savings. The balance was given by the woman to Jazlyn before finally lying in a coma in the hospital.
Again. Jazlyn sighed softly. The girl should really work for Alvin now. The money she earned yesterday was just a little less to pay off his mother's hospital bill. And that means she has to kill more people.
***"Jazlyn," Emma said to Jazlyn.
Jazlyn's blue eyes stared at another girl with straight reddish hair. Her enthusiasm still hasn't gathered to immediately start his class today.
All that was on the girl's mind were three things. Mark Arthur. Paid her mother's hospital bills and of course Alvin.
"I'm sorry about yesterday," said Emma, now reaching out her hand to Jazlyn to make the girl stop walking.
"I just heard rumors circulating. Even though we've been friends since high school. I'm sorry for believing in the rumors that are circulating," continued Emma.
"No need to apologize. Rumors are damn. But, what they say is not entirely wrong," said Jazlyn trying to smile.
"So, your mother is hospitalized?" asked Emma again in surprise. Jazlyn nodded.
"I'm sorry. I should have asked you or tried to calm you down earlier," Emma said even more guiltily. Jazlyn shook her head.
"Forget it. It's not your fault at all. I just can't tell you. I'm sorry," said Jazlyn sincerely. Emma had come closer and hugged her friend."We have to go to class now. I don't want to make our lecturer angry," said Jazlyn, who had embraced Emma's shoulder into the classroom.
Jazlyn's blue eyes immediately met Alvin's eyes who sat in the corner of the room. The young man signaled to Jazlyn for the girl to sit next to him.
"What is wrong?" asked Emma when Jazlyn had not yet sat on the chair beside her. Emma's eyes now fixed on Alvin's figure sitting in the corner of the classroom.
"Are you very close to that freak?" Emma asked Jazlyn because the girl was still staring at Alvin.
"I'll sit with him. Meet me after recess," said Jazlyn, who immediately left Emma's table and turned to the corner of the classroom where Alvin was already sitting.
Emma glanced at Jazlyn who was already sitting next to Alvin and made the young man smile afterward. Emma looked away after Alvin glared at her.
Alvin reached into his bag and pulled out a small brown envelope. "As promised," said Alvin, who had handed the brown envelope to Jazlyn.
Jazlyn stared at what was inside the envelope and stared in surprise. It was a lot more than he had previously expected.
"I'm exaggerating a little because your first mission was really perfect," said Alvin proudly then patted Jazlyn's shoulder lightly.
Jazlyn smiled softly and was already imagining that she could pay off all her mother's hospital fees. And at least the girl can survive for the next two months with the money given by Alvin.
The young man had already taken out another envelope from his bag. Envelopes are bigger. The same envelope the young man had given Jazlyn before.
"Seriously! I have to do it now?!" asked Jazlyn in a slightly loud voice making the attention of other students already staring at her.
Alvin immediately turned silent and showed a cold gaze when the others stared at him because of Jazlyn's act. "Lower your voice. You don't want it if everyone finds out that you are a murderer?" said Alvin with emphasis in Jazlyn's ear.
The girl nodded and now took the brown envelope that Alvin placed on the table. Slowly, Jazlyn opened the contents of the envelope as she looked around.
Jazlyn had already drawn a white printed paper that was in it first and started reading it. Her eyes were perfectly rounded after knowing who to target next.
In a hurry, Jazlyn had put the paper back in the envelope. The girl immediately looked for photos in the envelope. Just like when she took out the first brown envelope that would become his victim.
"You're not in the wrong, are you?" Jazlyn asked Alvin after putting the photo back in the envelope.
"Of course not. What's the matter?" Alvin asked, looking back at Jazlyn with a sharp gaze that seemed to want to eat the girl.
Jazlyn did not return to ask questions because the lecturer had entered the class. The girl put the envelope that Alvin gave into her bag and immediately closed it to make it safer.
The girl's mind turned uneasy after seeing her second mission. Her blue eyes stared straight at Emma, who was sitting alone in the classroom.
Emma turned around when she wanted to get another book from her backpack. Her gaze met Jazlyn's blue eyes. His smile was perfect after looking at his friend.
Jazlyn lowered her head and looked back at the book and binder. Her hand had picked up a pen and started writing the material he heard without looking at the blackboard. Her heart was really churning right now.
Grandpa and Grandma are coming!" Joseph shouted with all his might from being too happy. The boy's voice finally distracted everyone who was now busy setting the dining table for lunch. "May I welcome grandpa and grandma?" asked the gray-eyed girl who had passed the last spoon to her mother. "Of course. Just don't shout at Grandma. You know, Grandma will be very surprised," Jazlyn replied, allowing Lea not to help her anymore at this time. The seven-year-old girl smiled and stepped away from the dining table and headed for the front door to greet Arison and Roseane who had come a long way to Virginia. "Grandparents!" shouted Joseph with great joy as the door opened revealing the figures of Arison and Roseane. The couple were already smiling and holding each of their grandchildren. "Mom cooked a really good meal today," Lea said exci
Jazlyn got out of the car and stepped closer to a house that was right in front of her at this time. The house that the woman had left for a while. The house that the woman really liked, even though it was only a house with a size that couldn't be said not too big. Jazlyn's feet stepped towards the door and started typing the password at the entrance to the house. Ace has now replaced the door of the house to ensure the safety of the house where his little family lives. No manual lock and only need to type the password on the door. "It still smells the same," Jazlyn said happily to Ace, who had pushed Lea's stroller into the house. "And some of the improvements really make this house look good," said Jazlyn again. The woman had taken over Lea's stroller and brought her little daughter into the room immediately. Meanwhile, Ace Morin followed behind and stopped in front of the bedroom doo
All the invited guests are already sitting on the chairs. The dress code used is white. And all the invited guests have worn the color of the clothes that are listed on the invitation. Jazlyn was still in the make-up room alone. Her face is already beautiful in her make up and is already wearing a wedding dress. The woman was already holding a bouquet of fresh white flowers in her hand. The door to the room is now open and reveals the neat figure of Ace Morin in a white shirt and black tuxedo with a black bow tie. The man had already stepped closer to Jazlyn who was still sitting right in front of the table cheerfully. "Are you getting anxious now?" Ace asked while touching Jazlyn's shoulder and then looking at her and Jazlyn's reflection from the large mirror that was right in front of them. "Of course not. I'm ready to go up the aisle now," Jazlyn said with great confidence. The woman got u
This was really far from the simple words Jazlyn wanted for a wedding. The woman's blue eyes were surprised after seeing a row of white dresses that were all over the room where she was now. The row of wedding dresses looks beautiful and is dominated by white with various decorations on the body of the dress. There is a dress with an open back. Some show the shoulders. Everyone is really here. Certainly bigger than the boutique Jazlyn had last been to to help Emma choose her wedding dress. "Please give my girlfriend some dresses that look simple but still beautiful," said Ace Morin to the boutique employee. "Isn't this place too big to look for wedding dresses?" Jazlyn asked, now holding Ace Morin's hand towards a blue sofa. "Of course not. They have more simple wedding dresses that you want," replied Ace casually. Now a boutique clerk had offered two glasses of Americano to Ace and Jazlyn. O
Jazlyn stopped the car. The woman's eyes fell on her cell phone which showed the location that Emma had previously sent to her. The woman got out of the car without hesitation. And started walking into the forest. Jazlyn actually had a lot of doubts about coming here but the woman was more worried if something bad happened to Ace Morin. Her cell phone rang after the woman had walked quite a distance after leaving her car just at the edge of the forest. "I managed to get Ace Morin. His condition is really worrying. I've contacted the hospital to come here immediately. Are you close? Ace keeps calling your name," said Alvin in a serious tone. "I've entered the forest. It seems that soon I will be able to find your location. So, wait," said Jazlyn. "Okay." Jazlyn is now half running to follow the location directions on her cell phone. The feeling of worry is getting worse now. After everything t
"Okay. Let's see, what really suits you," said Jazlyn to Lea who was in the stroller. Today, the blue-eyed woman decided to go shopping alone after two weeks back in New York. "Look. Lots of very nice clothes for you," Jazlyn said again to Lea who had been staring at her for a long time. Jazlyn took a pastel pink baby dress and tried to match it to Lea's body. Then she put it in the shopping cart. "I should have brought Emma here. But, since she's too busy, I have to choose everything myself this time," Jazlyn mumbled again. After choosing three baby dresses for Lea, the woman turned to a row of baby hats that looked very cute. Soon winter will come. Of course, Jazlyn had to prepare all the warm clothes for her little daughter. Despite getting many gifts from Roseane and her mother, Maria, the woman is still asked by Ace to shop occasionally for Lea's clothes. "When you
