Jazlyn Anxiety

Jazlyn stared at her lunch still not excited. The girl was still daydreaming because she thought about how to carry out her second mission.

Emma had put her lunch tray on the table and sat on the same table as Jazlyn. "What do you think? Sounds serious," said Emma to Jazlyn. The blue-eyed girl turned her gaze towards Emma.

"Is this about your mom?" asked Emma now looking at Jazlyn closely. The girl shook her head.

"I don't know. My thoughts are just really heavy right now," said Jazlyn to Emma.

Emma's brown eyes were now touching Jazlyn's hand and trying to calm her friend. The thing that the girl always did when Jazlyn had so many thoughts.

"I heard from the rumors that you are in need of money. That's why you approached Alvin, right? Because the young man is very rich," Emma said to Jazlyn, making the girl in front of him surprised.

"That .." Jazlyn held back his sentence because Sudan Emma reached into her bag and took out a piece of paper and pen.

"How much do you need? Is a thousand dollars enough?" asked Emma, who intended to immediately write down the number one thousand on her check so that Jazlyn could immediately cash it.

Jazlyn shook her head and restrained Emma from writing anything on the check in front of her. "I just want to help you," said Emma, who turned a little sad because Jazlyn refused her intention to help.

"Everything is fine. My father pays all the hospital bills every month. So, you don't have to worry about that," said Jazlyn lying trying to get Emma not to help him.

"All right," said Emma, already putting all her belongings back in her bag.

"You said that Alvin is very rich?" Jazlyn asked, changing the discussion because she was quite curious about Alvin.

"Yes. Gilbert who saw firsthand this morning that the young man was using the latest car. There were even some bodyguards who helped him to get out of the car. You know like in movies with the rich in power," said Emma.

Jazlyn's gaze has now looked at the figure of Alvin who has sat alone to enjoy his meal in the campus canteen.

If it was true that the young man was rich, why would that young man use Jazlyn to kill other people. Alvin could have paid for an assassin without having to involve him.

"Are you going to keep watching him like that? I'm jealous of Alvin," said Emma now because Jazlyn kept staring at Alvin. The girl turned sullen because her close friend stared at Alvin.

"By the way, are you busy today? I want to take you to the cafe that sells ice cream that we discussed a few days ago," said Jazlyn now to Emma.

"I'm not busy. But, my father asked me to play games at home. Come to my house, we will play games and eat ice cream. We'll stop by to buy ice cream first," said Emma long. Jazlyn nodded in agreement but then the girl remembered that she had to go to the hospital after this.

"I remember something. I have to visit my mother first. How about if I catch up later?" asked Jazlyn. Emma, who had eaten her lunch, now looked back at Jazlyn.

"Then I'll ask my driver to go to the hospital. I'll accompany you to visit your mom," Emma replied casually. Jazlyn shook her head slowly. Turns down Emma's idea.

"I'll be in the hospital long enough. I'll catch up with you later. Today I'm going to chat with my father for a while at the hospital. I miss him a little," Jazlyn lied. She couldn't possibly take Emma to the hospital. Alvin could show up there at any moment and of course, Jazlyn felt insecure if the girl knew about who she is now.

Emma nodded softly. "All right. I'll buy some ice cream and you will follow later," said Emma with her big smile.

"I'll bring you a cake. There's a bakery near the hospital which is pretty good. You have to try it," said Jazlyn. Emma is now excited again because of what Jazlyn just said. The girl really likes cakes.

At another table, Alvin devours his food while occasionally staring at the table occupied by Jazlyn and Emma. Alvin had actually been eager to discuss the mission he had given the girl, but Emma had already pulled Jazlyn to the cafeteria ahead of him.

"Even that girl is still nice to her would-be victims," muttered Alvin as he devoured the piece of meat on his lunch plate. Maybe after this the young man could talk to Jazlyn while in the hospital.

 ***

"Thank you," said Jazlyn after getting a paper containing her mom's hospital payment. Now her mom will be treated very well in the hospital.

The girl's steps stopped after seeing Alvin right in front of her now. A face as pale as Jack Frost from Rise Of The Guardian has greeted Jazlyn.

Jazlyn had just stepped past Alvin because the young man had not even said a word to him. Alvin's strong hands were already holding Jazlyn.

"Are you going to do the mission I gave you?" asked Alvin still with an icy gaze.

"Can I refuse it?" Jazlyn asked the young man back.

"Is it because she's your friend that you turned her down?" asked Alvin, curious now.

"Are you sure you asked me to do it?" Jazlyn asked Alvin seriously. The young man nodded firmly.

"I will think about this for a while. I will give my answer later," said Jazlyn who intended to immediately leave for her mom's ward but Alvin certainly didn't let her go.

"Have you forgotten the contract that we have agreed to? Even you can't refuse whatever I ordered you to Jazlyn," said Alvin with Jazlyn's intimidating look. The girl sighed heavily.

Jazlyn already knew the consequences she would bear but still wanted to do Alvin's orders. "I need a day off. I did my job well last time. And I hope you don't bother me," said Jazlyn who had just walked away into the elevator. The destination is the fourth floor where her mom is being treated.

Alvin has already taken the cellphone from the pocket of the pants he is wearing. The young man looked for a number and called it right away. "I ask you to watch the girl seriously. I do not want her to veer away from us," ordered Alvin. Without waiting for an answer from the person he is talking to. Alvin has decided to turn off the phone call.

Now the young man just wants to return to his apartment. Because talking to Jazlyn at a time like this would only irritate her.

Jazlyn just got out of the elevator. Now the girl has arrived at her destination which is the fourth floor. Her steps were stifled after exiting the elevator door when she saw someone he knew very well was waiting in the waiting chair.

"Jazlyn," said the man after seeing Jazlyn who was still frozen after the lift door closed again. With haste, Jazlyn immediately took a step when the man got closer to her.

"Jazlyn," The man managed to hold Jazlyn's hand. Maybe this is the end for Jazlyn.
