Chapter Four - Davon

I lead Liz inside and allow my eyes to wander. I know I shouldn't, but her beautiful bronze skin shimmers brightly like diamonds under the raindrops. I can see her breasts beneath the white cotton of her dress, nipples erect with cold.

"Liz, my darling. It's a pleasure to finally see you. Let's get you out of those clothes before you catch a cold, hmm?" I offer a smile and look to Gabriel who returns my look with raised eyebrows.

"I'll show you to your temporary room, shall I?" Gabriel looks back to Liz. She nods, partly listening to the conversation but mostly admiring the house. Eyes wide and mouth slightly agape. Her face should be under the definition of 'Flabbergasted' in the dictionary.

"Perfect. Her clothes are in bags in the temporary bedroom. Just while we sort out a better bedroom for her. Help her choose something appropriate for dinner. I'll go tell the cooks our guest has arrived." I nod to Gabriel once again and he stops me as he strides past.

"She is an innocent one, Dav. Try not to corrupt her too much." His voice low, keeping his words to me private.

I roll my eyes and chuckle, elbowing Gabe playfully. "Shut up, you. Go on, I'd like to get her settled as soon as possible."

"Your wish is my command."

-

Gabriel was right - Yellow really did suit her skin tone. She strides into the dining hall with her arm looped through Gabriels. She has showered, her dark coily hair bounces with each confident stride and I feel my heart bloom with pride. This lady… this goddess is here living life to the fullest because of me. That smile that lights up her face, the way she walks with more confidence, the way she seems to own everything around her - was because of me.

"Good evening, Liz." I extend a hand and take hers in mine. I kiss the top of her hand with utmost care while my eyes remain drawn to hers.

"Thank you. This place… it's amazing. Is it all yours?"

"Mmh, oh yeah. I own it all and more. You should see the rest of the house." I smirk and pull out her chair.

"It's so… so… incredible and overwhelming. Back home our house was four walls with a bunk bed, a sofa and a stove and nothing else. I wasn't aware houses like this even existed." Liz takes her seat and I take mine across from her.

"Nor clothes sizing too, aparently." Gabriel quipped up with his usual cheeky grin. "Speaking of which, I must say you have excellent choice of clothing Davon. Suits her like fur on a cat."

"How do you feel?" I ask. The smell of cooking food wafts through the room and I watch as Liz visibly relaxes at the familiar smell.

"I feel like I'm a goddess. Honestly, I can't thank you enough for your help." There's that smile again. Enough to make butter melt. "Please, no thanking is needed. You deserve this."
