CHAPTER 19

"Holy crap!" Judie exclaimed, leaving both Lou and me startled.

We were currently in the studio café. Following our scene with Wendy earlier this morning, nothing had changed. We were each going about our own lives.

Worry was evident on Judie's face as she glanced at me, intensifying my nerves, especially since she was engrossed in her cellphone. It was probably another internet issue.

"Why?" I asked, and she gently passed me her cellphone. Lou and I immediately inquired about the situation.

"Oh my goodness," Lou exclaimed, seizing the phone and scrolling through Twitter.

"That's you and Grantt, right?" Judie confirmed with a nod. I simply nodded back. "Why don't you two exercise more caution?"

"I was wearing a mask, so it's their problem," I replied with resignation. I was weary of these recurrent scandals involving Grantt.

"See? I told you, didn't I? Wendy won't just remain passive when she finds out. This marks the beginning of her smear campaign against you and Grantt. That brat!"
