New Surroundings
Jadie's trip finally ended after two separate flights and a long layover in Chicago. It was safe to say she was ready to be in bed for the night once she was finally able to stretch her legs from the crammed cabin seats.
Alpha Lincoln told Gerald the day before that he would send someone to pick her up and bring her to their pack house where she would be staying.
A sleek black town car was waiting just outside the main door with a man in a dark, finely-tailored suit and shaggy blonde hair that cascaded over the sunglasses he was wearing. Jadie laughed under her breath at the way he was dressed - he looked like he had just stepped off a Hollywood movie set.

Lincoln was in a state of shock. The next few days were difficult. Jadie had a week from when she arrived until she started classes, so that meant seven days of being trapped in the same house as her betrayer. Jadie didn’t realize that when Lincoln said they were going on a hike, it meant they would be trudging over twenty miles deep into the woods, far away from any form of civilization.
