“Nick, what are you doing back?” she asked.
“Sorry to disturb your session but can I speak with you,” I say as I walk to her.

“I’ll leave you two,” Doctor Singa added.
“Thanks,” I gave him a nod and looked at Ki, “Hey,” I smiled as I hugged her.
“You are back early. Did something happen?” she asked again.
“No,” I responded, “I’m back because I have to go on a trip today. It’s last-minute, and I couldn’t cancel. I hate leaving you here all alone.”

James “It’s not her,” I took a deep breath. Thank God it’s not her. I could finally breathe and calm down. I had gotten a call two hours ago that a girl matching Ki’s description had been found 80 miles away from Springs City in the woods by some hikers. The drive was long and excruciating because I was praying it wasn’t her. Harper I felt like an idiot for falling in love with Conrad. He was a two-timing snake and a cheater. I had fallen for his lies. He told me he had broken things off with his ex but I caught them kissing in his car when he was supposed to be waiting for me to give me a ride. I heard the main door opening and I quickly wiped my tears and sniffed quickly making my way to the stairs. James was home early today and if he saw me like this he would lose it. He would call Nigel and both of them would harass Conrad. I just know it. “Harper,” he called out. “Hi, James,” I cleared my throat looking ahead, “I’ll be in my room,” I added starting to move. “Hey,” he walked and held my wrist, “I have a surprise for you.”

After everything?” I scoffed, shaking my head, “Unbelievable.” “Where the fuck are you going?” he asked.

James “OH MY GOD, James,” Harper squealed the moment I walked in the front door jumping before going in for a hug. “Easy there, you almost gave me a heart attack,” I responded. “Why didn’t you tell me?” She took a step back, still giddy. “Tell you what?” I frowned looking at her. “The car. The one that’s outside with a bow. It’s mine, right? I can’t believe you rushed off without telling me I now have a car. Where are the keys? You are the best brother ever,” she said without standing still giddy. “Oh shoot. I’m sorry I forgot,” I smiled, taking out the keys from my pocket, “That was the surprise I had for you earlier. At least now you don’t have to nag me about this anymore.”

James I couldn’t believe my eyes as I watched Ki sitting in her office working. I called her name, but she couldn’t hear me. I wanted to get closer to kiss her or touch her, but I couldn’t. There was a soft knock in her office and I became mad but there was nothing I could do but watch. “Hey, Ki, I know you like to work until late, but I have canceled your afternoon session,” Nick said and I could tell he was holding his breath as Ki responded not taking my eyes off the keyboard. “I understand,” she responded. “What?” he asked. "There is a storm coming,” she said looking at him and he looked dumb folded. “But?” he muttered before she waved a dismissive hand at him.

Nick I was back after the worst twenty hours of my life. After the confrontation and my last conversation with Morgan, to say I was pissed was an understatement. He had humiliated me and left me in Malaysia alone. That sick bastard had left me there. He practically threw me out of his plane. The little shit. Lesson learned. I will never use anyone’s jet again. I will use my own transportation from now on and get to throw people out like a dog. How dare he leave me alone like that, like I was nothing.?I am the most powerful man, more powerful than him and he did this to me. I swear I will personally deal with his arrogance as soon as I deal with my father. He thinks he can control everything, but he is wrong. I called him to ask what the hell happened, and he responded like it was nothing.
