Nick
I had asked the driver to take me home after my visit to the station. To the public eye, it seemed as if I was a concerned son who was taking time off to spend with my father. I didn’t care about all that, but I needed him in my house in case he tried to speak. He has been trying so hard and failing to speak and keeping him monitored with me was the best option.
“Someone is in a good mood today,” my sister said walking into my home office.
“Want one?” I asked, looking over my shoulder with a glass in hand.
“No, I’m good thanks,” she said, grabbing a seat.
“Okay,” I shrugged, walking over to my seat across from her, “What’s up?” I asked, looking at her.
“I’m here to congratulate you. Seems yo
Morgan “You had evidence proving your innocence all this time?” Nigel scoffed as he placed his hand on his hips shaking his head. “Yes,” I nodded with a grin. “Why?” He asked, “Why have you been wasting all this time sitting in here?” Nigel looked shocked and frustrated. I was calmly sitting in the detention room with both my hands intertwined on the table. I looked at both my lawyers who shared the same frustration because they had been here for a long time. “Ok I will apologize for dragging this but it was for a good reason,” I added, relaxing my shoulders. “What’s this evidence you have?” Nigel asked, looking tired. “Can you guys give us the room?
James I was a little confused and surprised when I received the cellphone and then Nigel called me to give me a code. I didn’t know what I was looking for and I wasn’t sure how he got to have Morgan’s phone. I checked on the home screen for recent apps or anything that would guide me in the right direction so I would make sense of the reason I had his phone in my hand. I was back in my car parked outside Dawson Hospital as I carried on with my search until I saw there was a recording. I opened the recording and I began listening. There was a shuffle at first before voices began to speak. “Yes,” I took a second to know it was Morgan. “I got a call from my family,” there were a pause and a shuffl
James “Are you out of your mind?” Nigel scoffed, “You are crazy if you think I’m getting you back in the station without Romans finding out.” “Come on,” I said, placing the mug on the counter with a sigh, “All I need is five minutes,” I looked at him. “You have a wound that hasn’t healed and not to mention you were coming from the hospital. If Romans is to hear all this the same day you got suspended? He will do the same to me.” “What then?” I asked looking at him, “Clearly Morgan knows something and you know it,” I said pressing both my hands on the counter looking at him. He knew I was right as he set his own mug on the counter shaking his head looking at me as he seemed to be thinking. “Look,” he said seriously.
Nick I threw a glass on the wall and I could hear Adam’s muffled snicker. It was not as if he was trying to hide a laugh but he was mocking me. My attempt to look intimidating looked wasted on him. It was pissing me off. “Are you done with your little tantrum?” he asked, raising an eyebrow at me, “because I think it’s a little early to be acting this childish. I mean it’s not even noon and you already look drunk. Are you trying to run my company to the ground? Failure is just written all over your face right now,” he laughed. “Laugh all you want,” I smirked, “If you want to see your sister. I suggest you take my deal.” “Come in Nicky,” he smiled, “You have to do better than that,” he shrugged. There was something about the way he sounded sure of himself. I paused thinking before shaking m
Adam “Back so soon?” I smiled but Nick's face wasn’t of someone who looked very pleased to be back as he smiled before he threw a punch on my face that made me go flying back hitting the floor with a thud. “Get him up,” he ordered and I was up again shaking the punch before he punched me again and the chair tilted but I managed to hold it but that was to no avail but he punched me again and the chair hit the floor and I saw stars. “Gahh,” I muffled, blinking. “Bring him up,” he ordered. He sounded angrier than his usual self. I tried to shake off the dizziness. I looked at him, “Where is it?” He asked. “Where is what?” I coughed, spitting blood. I fixed my jaw. Those punches did hurt. “Try again,
James I was waiting for the media to disperse so I could get into Morgan’s mansion and speak to him. It seemed as though people were still waiting for them to come out again and give another statement. I was tapping on my steering wheel as I waited. Maybe it was a good idea to wait until the people were gone. This is not how I pictured my day would go but I needed information that I knew Morgan would provide. I began thinking of Kioni and how she was doing. I hoped she would wake up soon and help. I hated that Nick was close to her after causing her such harm. I began thinking about everything from the beginning when I met her. The day at the office she looked so beautiful the way she smiled and talked to me. I want that to happen once again. I long for a call to hear she was up and talking again. I wonder who she would call fir
Morgan “I must say I’m surprised you are only showing up now,” I smirked as I watched James walk in looking like he had other things to do than being here. “I would have been here sooner but you seem to draw a lot of attention,” he replied. “Well, what can I say? I'm popular,” I say, extending my hand out, gesturing to him to have a seat and he did. “What is your deal?” he asked, leaning forward on his seat as he clamped his hands together looking at me seriously. “What do you mean?” “You know exactly what I mean. You are innocent and have evidence and yet you want to be treated like a suspect.” “Is this an interrogation?” I interrupt as James shifts
James I was hopeful when Morgan mentioned her and smiled at me. My heart stopped as I attentively looked at him waiting. I had waited so long to hear that she was awake that I wanted to get out of my seat and run to the hospital. I didn’t care that it was late at night to have a visit. I wanted to see her. See her beautiful face and those gorgeous big brown eyes of hers. “Not yet,” Morgan finally responded and my face fell, “I know she will wake up eventually,” he gave me a genuine smile as I nodded. “So who is this person?” I asked, leaning back on my seat. “Her name is Lara,” Morgan said as if I knew her. “I don’t know her,” I looked at him as he took a while to respond. Thinking. “She was a fl
