I was planning on going back to the mall where I rented the Arabian dancer clothes to return the dress. The mall was far since it’s the same one I first went to. It was the only place that sold cosplay clothing in the city. Well, there could be some other shop too but it’s the only one I found after spending the whole day looking.
So after breakfast when Valek had gone to work I decided to visit the mall.
It was Saturday so I thought I’d take Emilio with me since it was his day off and we could have lunch together somewhere.
I passed by the lounge when I was looking for him and almost walked away without spotting his tiny figure that was hidden behind the couch. I saw the T.V on and stopped,
>> AndrewAnother day, another struggle at the job and another struggle with my mind.I wake up everyday thinking I’d forget about what happened four years ago and after so much time the memory and the feeling of immeasurable guilt had finally begun to fade away.It had just started leaving me when I saw her.As soon as I saw her all the remorse came back to me. My whole being shook in culpability as soon as I saw her and the first thing I could think of was to hide. Hide away from her and from what I have to tell her.Hazel Bae, Angela’s sister. The woman I just can’t bring myself to face and in my hiding four years have gone by.
>>AndrewI guess this was bound to happen. How long could have I avoided her? It’s already been four years. Anymore could mean that God does no justice.“H-hi,” I replied to her.“Have you been well?” She folded her arms as she looked at me with contempt but it was not un-welcomed.I knew I deserved it.“Well,” I scratched my thumb nails with my index finger ones, “It’s fine I guess.” I shrugged my shoulders.“I’m sure you know why I’m here.” She had a grim expression on while t
>>Andrew (Four Years ago)“I want this baby gone.”Angela’s sudden statement made me look at her with a shock filled expression. We both sat at the cafe near my university having coffee. I thought it was going to be a small date between us but she brought an unexpected third party along.“Angela, what are you even saying?” I sipped my coffee while she sat in front of me with her arms crossed.“I’m serious,” She said with one leg on top of the other, “This kid is changing her.”“That’s a good thing.” I said, “If Hazel’s happy
>>AndrewAngela and I kept our eyes on him till he went inside his house and then we looked at each other in utter and complete confusion.I don’t know about her but I was getting sort of mad here.“What have you done?” I looked at her in horror.“...” She just looked back at me in surprise and confusion, “I mean,” She was even confused with her words, “I’m sure he’s just bluffing. He won’t kill a baby.”“You were ready to kill him!!” I grabbed my hair from the top with both my hands in tension.“It’s not
>> Andrew (Present)“I didn’t meet with her after that, we didn’t even talk or text each other.” I took a deep breath, “I was so ashamed of myself and more than that I was scared. The guilt was consuming me day by day and for a few days, I couldn’t even bring myself to leave my room.”I glanced at Hazel who sat still in her place, as if she was paused there, “And ah-” I continued, “Shortly after, I heard about Angela’s death.” I gulped, “She died in an accident.” I nodded my head as the memory resurfaced in my mind, “That’s it. That’s my side of the story.”I pursed my lips together tightly as I closed my eyes after I was done speaking and then clenched my fists
>>ValekA text message alerted me while I was looking at a broken table near the dance floor.I shook my head at it while I had my arms folded.Sometimes, people just get too wild and then get in fights and then break things. My things.I sighed.“Order a new one,” I looked at the manager of the bar, “And ban the entry of all the people responsible for this.”“Yes sir,” He bowed to me, “All the bars?” He asked.“All of them.” I said and began to walk away as I took
To come so far only to be disappointed,It makes you feel like everything was a waste, right? It makes your entire being fall into misery, right? But here is where lies the most important decisionDo you just let everything go and fall?OrDo you keep going? The feelings of despair overwhelm you and perhaps you really don’t have an ounce of motivation left to walk further,But,Does it not cross your mind, that if you keep going, maybe you’ll find something more?
>>HazelThe intense shower pouring from the sky began to lighten. The wind that had gone berserk began to calm down. The sky engulfed in darkness began to illuminate as the rays of the sun pierced through and crashed belowSoon, the blue sky rose to power again as the dark clouds faded away. The sound of birds chirping started once again while a cold soft breeze blew to commemorate the passing of the storm.Water dripped down our skin, it had completely soaked me and the man in front of me. The floor had so much water, it almost formed a pool, but I could hear the sound of it rushing down the drain and felt the level of water decrease around us slowly.
