The offer

The next morning, the ray of sun woke Ramona. She hastily stood up to clean the house before her boss woke up when she suddenly halted at the sight of an unfamiliar figure with an ugly scar in the living room seated as if he owned the house.

"Please, who are you??, a thief??"

He glanced at her, and smirked as he stood up, and began to stare at her while moving close to her.

Ramona moved backward as she glanced around hoping to see anything to protect herself with it.

"I should be the one asking you that question??? Who are you??, an intruder?? A spy?" He threw all sorts of questions at her.

He has this strong, dominating and intimidating look on his face which made Ramona to be scared.

She saw a flower vase, and gripped it tightly to scare him with it .

He scoffed at her innocent action, and was about to talk when Belle came in at that moment.

"Brother,"

Ramona's eyes widened, and she didn't know when the flower vase fell from her hand.

"Boss's brother," Ramona went on her knees immediately as she greeted him with respect.

She has to act like that because Belle saved her out of the street, she offered a roof to sleep under not caring to know if her life story is real or fake.

"Sebastian," Belle called.

"I never knew you had a maid" He mumbled.

"No, she's not my maid, she's one of my workers that I employed in the restaurant, let's go inside and talk" Belle said.

Sebastian looked at Ramona, and wore a cocky look as he went out but before going inside, he muttered a word out that she heard.

"What an innocent kitten"

"Ramona, clear the flower vase" Belle stated, and went inside with Sebastian.

Ramona looked down to the flower vase she broke out of surprise, and stood up abruptly.

She's in debt already.

The flower vase would cost a lot of money because Ramona believes people like Belle that live in an expensive house, and wore expensive clothes would never buy a cheap flower vase.

Belle entered her room with Sebastian as she locked the door behind.

"Brother, you never told me you will be back this fast" Belle said.

"Were you praying I should not be back" 

Sebastian sat on the bed and Belle sat next to him as she smiled.

"Why will I pray such "

"Who's she?? That kitten in the living room?" Sebastian asked, and Belle smiled.

"One of my workers in the restaurant. Last night, I caught her breaking into the restaurant then brought her home, Sebastian we discussed a lot and that girl has gone through alot hell at a tender age" 

"What if she's a spy?? You brought in a random innocent kitten into the house but it's fine. She's leaving after breakfast " Sebastian declared.

"No, brother, you need to listen to her story. She was married to Harry Walker, that rude billionaire, he divorced her after five years of marriage. He cheated on her multiple times, and brought home a mistress as his new wife as he divorced her yesterday leaving her with nothing"

"Sebastian, she had two pregnancies for him, she lost one through miscarriage, and the second one through stillbirth, " Belle added, as she further talked on Ramona life experience as an orphan.

He just nodded.

"I will marry her" He suddenly broke the words out, and Belle's eyes widened.

"Sebastian, did you know her before?"

"You too, do you know her from anywhere before you brought her into the house but seeing the way you are talking about her, it looks like it won't be a bad idea to make her my surrogate" Sebastian said.

"No, brother. This is not why I'm telling you her story "

"Do you want me to beat up the Walker's family??, I will marry her then you can use me to beat the Walker's family for all I don't care as long as I get a child from her" He stated.

"Sebastian, you are not getting me, she was married to the Walker's son at age twenty and now she's twenty five without nothing to brag about. She was used in the marriage, and I wanted you to fight for her"

"Okay, because I'm now a human activist "Sebastian said, ironically, and Belle's eyes rolled as she looked at the other side.

"Don't use Ramona the way they Walker's family did to her"

"I can't hurt a kitten, " He said.

"Brother, you can still change your words" 

"You are saying all this to extort money from me, I will give it to you, I just want to marry her " Sebastian stated.

Belle gave him a glance before leaving the room with him. She got outside to see Ramona setting the table with delicacies, and a vacuum cleaner machine running.

She's dividing herself into two.

As soon Ramona was done setting the table, she cleaned the living room, and noticed Belle and Sebastian's presence.

"Good morning boss, I'm sorry for breaking the flower vase. I promise to pay you back by working extremely hard for you, I can work for you as a maid too in the night" Ramona said.

Sebastian stared at her with amusement, as his thin lip curled up.

"No, you don't need to pay for the flower vase,"

"And in return you will marry me," Sebastian said. Ramona's eyes landed on him.

"No,no, no, it's not proper. I'm sorry I can't marry you, I divorce my husband yesterday, and I should marry a person I barely know today. I'm sorry I can't" Ramona said.

"Don't you want to pay for the flower vase?"

"Here he goes with his dominance aura" belle mumbled out.

"I will work extremely hard to pay you for the flower vase, I'm not interested in any man or marriage. I'm sorry I would like to take my leave now, I'm with the key to the restaurant " Ramona said, and hastily went to return the vacuum cleaner inside the storage.

She went to the room she slept in and brought out her suitcase. Ramona wheeled it out as she proceeded to leave the house.

Ramona promised herself she would never fall for any man talkless of entering a marriage again. Walker's family has made her see hell, and know the definition of it, though she's a weak person but she hoped never to face that kind of misery.
