~Amber. It was a tough week for me. One that left me feeling lonely and hopeless. Alpha Raze who I had grown close to, had become distant from me. It seemed as though he was too engrossed in his work to notice my presence. I missed times when he showered me his attention, but was he to blame? He suspected I was keeping sometimes from him. Now, he barely even looked my way. Just curt greetings and he goes back to whatever he was doing.I couldn't help but feel hurt by his behavior despite the fact that I clearly knew I was the reason why he changed. Right from the issue at the Bonfire he had become wary of me and I hoped fervently that they left my past to be. I wasn't hiding it from them because I wanted to gain anything, I just wanted this last opportunity to start again and rebuild my life. Afterall I was almost dead when I got into this pack. But evem worse was Carmen, lately she had been bejaing weird. I always found her handing around with Alice whenever she wasn't with me. All l
~Authors Pov.The next day the sun was setting and the air was crisp as Raze called for a council meeting with the elders and top warriors of the pack. Zanehad stood beside him as he spoke, his stance firm and confident. It was a tense gathering, with everyone aware that something important was about to be discussed. After a few moments of silence, Zane cleared his throat, looking down at the high figures of his pack. "I have called this meeting to discuss a matter of utmost importance," he began. "As you all know, I have been searching for my Luna and a mate, and after much consideration, I have chosen Amber to be my Luna and mate."The room erupted into chaos as murmurings and arguments broke out. Some of the elders and warriors were strongly against this decision, citing doubts about Amber's origins and loyalty. Others remained neutral and voiced their concerns.Zane was silent but vigilant, his eyes trained on each person in the room, eagerly looking for any sign of disagreement.
~Amber.I was idling away in my room, staring out the window and daydreaming about the adventures I longed to have. Truth be told, I was bored, and desperately needed some excitement in my life. But those seemed like were-wishes that couldn't come true in my life. My life was currently filled with lies and deceit, I dare not get too excited at anything except when I see Raze. He made my heart leap and skip some beats.Ayra barged into my room moments later with a victorious smirk. Since Carmen had been acting all weird Ayra and I had become close. I was still baffled at Carmen's sudden strange behaviours."Young Miss," she said in an urgent whisper. "Have you heard about the Lunar challenge?""No, what is it?" I asked curiously, turning towards her with my expression spelling curiousity."It's a legendary competition between the Alpha, his Beta and Head of warriors," she explained."Alpha Raze, Zane and Matthew?" I questioned, surprise fulling me as the scene of the trip in a heated c
Carmen ran as fast as her legs could carry her, trying to catch up to Alice who was walking briskly in front of her. She knew she had to explain herself to Alice and make things right between them before things went too far.As she finally caught up to her, she tapped Alice on the shoulder to get her attention. Alice turned sharply and glared at Carmen, the anger evident in her eyes."What do you want?" Alice spat out.Carmen took a deep breath before speaking. "Alice, I need to talk to you. I need to explain what's going on."Alice crossed her arms over her chest. "Well, you better make it quick.""I'm sorry for ditching you with Amber at the party," Carmen began. "But I've been pretending to be friends with her to get something from her. I know it's wrong, and I understand if you don't want to be friends with me anymore. But I had to tell you the truth."Alice's expression softened as she listened to Carmen's explanation. "Why didn't you just tell me the truth from the beginning?""
~Amber.I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the Razeand Brenda kissing. My heart shattered into a million pieces. I thought I had a chance with him, but it turns out that Brenda had always been the one he wanted. He made it known to the pack at large, I was just a fool for falling so deep in love with him. I ran away from the scene as fast as I could, trying to escape the pain that was consuming me. My heart pumped angrily against my chest. When I got back to the pack house, I met Carmen and Alive walking out of the pack house and I felt anger fill me."Amber, are you okay?" I heard her ask."Like you care!" I spat angrily, glaring at her and Alice in deep resentment. "Let me be, you have states that earlier haven't you?"She opened her mouth to speak but words didn't form, Alice grabbed her hands and pulled her away. My eyes filled with hot tears as sadness found its way deep into my bones, seeping into it without remorse. As I entered my room, the sadness inside me filled me to th
~Amber. The turn of events were still imprinted in my memory and though Raze and I had resolved yesterday it wouldn't clear out the rumors that started spreading throughout the pack since yesterday. Not to talk of how I shunned Carmen off yesterday, I felt totally bad which was why as early as possible I went down to the courtyard, asking Travis to get me a dummy that I could use to train personally. After he took me to the coffee shop we have seen a lot more and under that cold looking face that was placed on his face because of his work as a bodyguard was a little and cute man who loved men The courtyard was spacious and had lawns well trimmed and groomed Flowers. The heat of the sun wasn't as hot as usual, it was mild and warnes my skin as I practiced. The only sound being the clink of my blade against the training dummy. I wished Carmen was here, I felt this sudden urge to rant about what happened between Raze and I yesterday. I was confused as hell. The attraction I felt toward
~Amber. The next day was really intense, my training had gotten more harder and I was struggling to really keep up with the demand of my trainee, Zane. That man confuses the shit out of me, this moment he is all nice, calm and patient with me but the next be is raving at my weakness. I heard him mutter a word of me not being good for Alpha Raze, if he said that to hurt me it failed because I found that as a gear and push to do what I needed. The days seemed to be getting difficult as lonliness constantly spreads in my heart, keeping all this bottled up made me feel so bloated with negativity that I feared I'd burst, which was I decided to find my artificial peace and solace. I needed to clear my head and find solace. I couldn't stay cooped and bullied by the voic e in my head, so I decided to take a walk around the training ground. I needed to get out there and clear my head. The sun was shining brightly, the smell of fresh air and greenery inundated my nostrils as I walked. The tr
Amber felt a flutter of excitement and a pang of nervousness as she and Carmen entered the ballroom. The duo left their men in sheer excitement as they walked into the ballroom. Anyone who saw them now would think they didn't just have a quarrel the last week. It was the event of the year for the wolf dignitaries, and she knew that all eyes would be on her and her Raze because of his position and the stories Carmen shared of Raze being one of the heads of the event. She was still nervous and scared at the thought of meeting her which would be a big blast in her new found relationship. But as they entered the ballroom and her eyes scanned the hall she didn't see him or took a whiff of his scent all her fears melted away. The room was alive with music and laughter, and there was a delicious smell of food in the air.Amber and Carmen mingled with the other wolves, engaging in small talk and Carmen introduced her to a lot of wolves that she had met on previous occasions.
