Chapter 9

In keeping with my promise to Grace that we’d get stronger, I found my way to the training grounds the next morning. I knew what having an Alpha wolf meant and it would be unwise of me not to build on that potential. Thus, I had to train. I’d never been strong before and now that I could be, I would take the chance.

The training ground was located in an extensive field in one of the pack’s forests. There was an obstacle training section at the back, a small collection of weapons under a shade to the left, and a lot of free space where wolves were fighting each other, others boxing in their human forms and some practising the use of weapons.

But when I entered, an amazing thing happened. It was like the arrival of an angel. Everyone paused and all eyes turned to me.

So this was what it felt like to be popular, a queen bee. It was something I always read about but experiencing it firsthand made goosebumps rise on my skin. Although some people looked at me as if I was a bomb-wielding cra
