LOGINEVIE POV
My mouth flew open as my brain tried to comprehend the scene unfolding in front of me. Three large students, student over another one, kicking, punching and burning a pack of cigarettes on his body.
The boy cries helplessly, begging them to stop. The more he screams for help, the more his bullies laugh, urging him to scream louder. Realizing I could have been subjected to this treatment as well… or worse.
As tears blurred my vision, I looked around for any sign of professors or better yet the Dean as the scene isn’t that far from his office. But what did I expect from a man who watches pornography in school!
Looking back at the others, no one made a move to step in. In fact they look as though it was a daily occurrence and that made my chest hurt more.
Those who couldn’t bear to watch any longer, begin to walk away. I inch forward, stopping myself in time before I intervene. Getting in the middle of that might blow my cover and besides, I can help the poor boy by exposing the bullies like I intended.
I turn to leave wishing there was a little privacy for me to film. However I have only taken a step when the boy screams again. Before I could stop to think about my action, I matched back to the crowd, shoving people out of the way.
I shoved the first bully off, earning an audible gasp from the audience. I stalked toward the second one, shoving him harder, then the third.
Taking off my jacket, I scoot down in front of the boy, wrapping the jacket around him. The mixture of surprise and relief on his face as he fell on my shoulder caused my chest to squeeze.
I felt a shadow loaming over me, forcing my attention ahead. My heart leapt against my chest at the three guys standing in front of me. They were Alphas, I could tell by how big they were and from the aura oozing from them.
Only Alphas have such auras that makes you want to cower in their presence and accept defeat at the mere sight of them. I swallowed nervously as they watched me—no… not watch.
They were glaring at me as the recognition in their eyes reflected back at me. The hoarse voices around grew even louder.
I expected them to come at me, but they did no such thing. Their stares lingered on me for several seconds like needle piercing through a hard surface. Then they exchange looks, walking away in perfect sync.
The audience disappears one after the other too, leaning only one behind. When he comes forward, I cautiously shrink back, wrapping my arms protectively around the boy that’s still quivering in my arms.
“Ethan, what the hell has gotten into you?” He demanded, dragging me to my feet.
Damn! He’s strong.
Puzzled, I stare at him, wondering who he is to my brother. Ethan never mentioned having friends so I didn’t bother to ask.
“What?” I asked, freeing my wrist from his grasp.
“Why did you get involved? They finally set their sight on someone else and you decide to play hero? This is unlike you.” He hissed, bending over to snatch my jacket from the other boy.
“What is wrong with me? Or you mean what is wrong with all of you? Everyone just stood there and did nothing! Did you see what happened? They left, meaning if any of you have stood up to them then none of this would have gone on for too long.”
“What?” He frowned, looking more confused. “Why are you talking in third person?”
Realization hits me causing my mouth to snap shut. I snatched my jacket from him then turned around to wrap it around the boy once more, but Ethan's room-mate—I’m assuming because he did mention a roommate wouldn’t let me.
“You know better than anyone that we haven’t seen the last of them. I thought you were never coming back? Why did you? goddess Ethan, they’re going to kill you.” He sounded fearful, which only adds to my confusion.
“Did they bully you too?” I asked, letting him drag me away.
“They terrorize everyone. I’m guessing you suffered a concussion from the fall.”
I stopped in my tracks. “What fall?”
He gives me a look that proves his point if I was my brother. I have so many questions that I need answers to, but I haven’t figured out how to ask them yet without blowing my cover.
“Stay in class until the period is over. As usual, try to leave with the professor and offer to carry his materials to his office, that should save you for now.” He instructed, walking away before I could ask anymore questions.
Watching him leave, I went into the classroom to attend my first class. While in class I couldn’t pay attention, I kept thinking about what Ethan room-mate said.
My brother never mentioned anything about a fall, meaning he didn’t tell us everything. Despite what I witnessed earlier, I wasn’t afraid of the big bad Alphas. If they dare come at me, I will show them what I’m made of.
I snapped out of my thoughts the moment the professor announced that class was over. Again my mind drifted to the instructions given to me earlier, I decided nothing was going to happen to me.
Pulling out Ethan’s class schedule to know what class I’m having next, I step into the hallway. Once I was able to read my brother’s doctor handwriting and figure out my next class, I was about to look up when I suddenly trip.
My body plunged forward, and I crashed onto the ground. Wincing from pain, I turn around, about to get up, only to get knocked down by an Italian smelly boot of leather.
“I must say Ethan Moonstone, you’ve got a lot of guts.” The voice came from above me.
Despite the pain throbbing in my side, I twisted, laying on my back. My eyes went wide with fear as my attacker turned out to be the three Alphas.
One of them reached down and grabbed me by the collar like I weighed nothing. My feet dangled as he brought me to his face, only to drop me back. I landed on my butt, tears stinging my eyes from the pain.
“Boys, I think it’s time for another fun.” Another one said, and they exchanged sinister grins.
As the first two turn away, the third grab me, dragging me on the floor along with them. My heart was no longer in my chest, I could feel it in my mouth trying to escape.
I was flung into an empty classroom, and when the door shut with a loud thud, I started to wish I had listened to Ethan’s roommate in the first place.
They tower over me, cornering me into a wall. I opened my mouth even though I had no idea what I was going to say next. All thoughts of words disappeared from my brain as the first hit slammed into my face.
Before I could recover from that, another one came from behind me. I fell forward, whimpering from pain as I tasted blood.
“The nerve of you to fucking show up after reporting us to the board!” I couldn’t tell which was which as I was too busy trying to get away from them.
My hair was pulled, sending my head backward. I felt his face against mine as he came to whisper in my ear.
“Say your last words, Moonstone.”
I never got the chance to as his fist slammed against my chest. I couldn’t hold in the cries, my breasts throb and I let out a scream!
EVIE POV The moment I pulled Jordan into his room, the courage to tell him failed me. How was I supposed to tell him the betrayal was coming from inside? I looked at him without raising my head, he was staring back at me waiting for me to say something. “Evie?” He urged, breaking the silence. “I wanted to talk to you about the last conversation we had. Forget it, don’t think too much of it.” I blurted out instead since that was the first serious discussion that came to mind. He nodded, seemingly buying it. Although when he tried to pull me into his arms, I easily stepped out. “I have to see Professor Shane about Ethan’s research, they are having a meeting today.” I strode out of his room, aware of him trailing after me. “You seriously want to get involved with that research?” He inquired, adding to my confusion. “Has anyone seen Kaden?” Logan poked his head out of his room, looking at us. “He left earlier,” I responded, my face heated up at the memory of what transpired betwee
EVIE POV For some reason I have started to get an odd feeling about my brother’s research. But I have bigger things to worry about, like the migraine I woke up with this morning. I thought after showering, and drinking a glass of water, my head would stop hurting. I just figured out it was due to stress, I was wrong. Since Logan is the medicine guy, I went into his room to see if he had some pain killer. I stopped at his desk, frowning at his open laptop. The screen was still lit up, indicating he probably just left the room. I sat down, checking the open tabs to see what he’s been up to. Something—a video flashed across the screen next. The video of Victoria and the random due that's been flying around campus for the past two days. I froze up, not wanting to believe that Logan would share the video. Closing the tab, I stood up and rushed out of the room, forgetting all about the painkiller I went in there to grab in the first place. I walked into someone, causing me to jump back
EVIE POV For the first time since I have known them, Jordan was hesitant about leaving the dorm. While we wouldn’t have minded staying with him all day, I had classes to attend, so did Kaden and Logan. However, I didn’t think Kaden would be attending any of his classes as he is still obsessed with finding out the source of the linked video. It couldn’t possibly have been shared from Jordan’s phone. The culprit needs to have a copy, which they will then distribute. My conversation with Jordan left me feeling a bit jumpy as I’m scared he will tell Logan and Kaden the truth. Although it is true, I didn’t think they would understand. I’m having fun with them, but with Jordan it feels different—and I don’t hate him. I looked at Professor Shade from above my laptop, marvelling at how normal he looks. Looking at him, there’s no way of guessing he’s running an illegal activity in the school tunnel. Once class was over, I took my stuff and hurried out. “Mr. Moonstone—“ his voice stoppe
EVIE POV As Jordan kissed me, brushing me backward against the bed. I was aware of the fact that Alfred of all people was just outside the door. Colour stains my cheeks, my breathing deepening when I feel his hand creep into my shirt. Before things could spin out of control, I broke the kiss. Eyes heavy with lust, he stared questioning at me. My heart jerked against my chest at the intensity of his gaze. I almost forgot why I stopped in the first place. I plastered my palm across his chest, feeling his heartbeat. His expression shifts to confusion as he continues to curiously watch me. “You need to work through the pain, Jordan. I think the reason why he still hurts is because you’ve been running away from it. You need to feel it, to embrace it.” I whisper, sliding my eyes back up to him. My hand moved up his chest to cup his face. I bring his face down, giving the illusion of kissing him. His tongue darts out, more than ready to take control of my lips. I draw back, my lips bri
EVIE POV I have a tutor session with Asher, so I couldn’t return to the dorm just yet. Maggie and I parted ways, a sweet reminder that we are really back to being friends. I remind myself to ask her later about what caused the fire at her school and stuff like that. By the time I arrived at the auditorium, I was a little late. I slid down in front of Asher, immediately setting my laptop up. “Sorry for being late, it’s been a crazy day.” I paused, figuring out he might have an idea about what I am talking about. I wouldn’t be so shocked to learn that every department is aware of that video—poor Jordan. Things are already on the verge of rocks with his parents. I know for a fact that this would shatter whatever that’s left of their relationship. Even though Victoria is an asshole, and her husband an even bigger one. For the sake of Jordan, I am going to do something about the video before he finds out. “Do you know anything about computers? Like hacking and stuff?” I asked Asher.
EVIE POV Test week is over, and what better way to celebrate it by treating ourselves to a certain amount of yoghurt. At first I’d try to use it wisely as Jordan, Logan and Kaden, haven’t been available for me to treat them until now. We sat under a shed, just drinking and saying nothing. It was peaceful. Being with them like this— when they are not trying to torture me or ruin somehere else life. Not to mention they’ve been really helpful trying to make me forget about Maggie being here, and not talking to her. Even though it was their freaking fault. I have decided not to dwell on the past, why do that when you’re enjoying the present a little too much? My eyes met with Jordan’s, he winked at me then went back to whatever he’s watching on his phone. I could smell Damien’s scent from a distance, I knew the others could too. After the incident at the tunnel a few days ago, he has been stalking us—me in particular. Kaden had made it clear that once the deal with Alfred is over, h
EVIE POV Something about the chilliness familiarity of the voice had me twirling around to see who it belonged to. My confusion only deepens when I couldn’t find anyone behind me except a new guy now backing into me. I could have sworn I heard someone say something to me, but then again. I recall
EVIE POV Something went terribly wrong and it all started yesterday. After the confrontation with Damien, I came back to tell the Alphas about him hitting me and possibly adding more to the story. However, I was instead overcome with a sudden weakness accompanied by a massive headache. So reporti
EVIE POV There’s an awkward pause between us after Jordan leaves the room, giving us the privacy to talk. I excused myself to get her a glass of water, extending it towards her a few seconds later, unsure if she would take it. She took it from me, drinking and giving it back to me. I waited for h
EVIE POV I swept my tongue across my lips, my breathing deepening as Logan came forward to ride my face with his cock jerking forward. The angry bulbous end made me nervous, and felt things I didn’t want to feel.‘It’s basic biology, this means nothing.’ I recite the same thing I did to him earlie
