Are You Still Scared Of Me

The next morning, Eiran walked in for the morning class and noticed Knight sitting beside the window. He sat down in the front row to avoid him.

“Why is he sitting in front when he always sits here?” Wells mumbled to himself.

After the class ended Eiran quickly walked out. Wells ran to catch up with him.

“What’s the hurry?” Wells was out of breath.

“Then don’t follow me.” Eiran entered the library.

Wells quickly held his hand. “We had a three-hour lecture, aren’t you going to eat lunch?”

“I’m not hungry.” He pulled his hand away.

Eiran was hesitant to go back to class for the next lecture. He rubbed his head several times. Then he looked up and noticed Knight standing in front of him across the bookshelves.

Is he following me?

Eiran quickly grabbed his books and walked out of the library.

“Eiran,” Knight’s voice stopped him on the empty stairs.

Eiran looked at him approaching. “Are you still scared of me?” Knight asked.

“Did I say I am scared of you?”

“Then why are you avoiding me?”

“I’m not exactly happy about seeing you again.” Eiran frowned. “I don’t even want others to find out that we knew each other or something.”

“Are you still mad at me about what happened?”

“Can you please,” Eiran’s voice became sharp, “not mention our past. I’m not really interested. It’s uncomfortable.”

“I guess you are not scared of me anymore.” Knight gave him a little smile and walked away.

“What the hell is he talking about?” Eiran mumbled and headed out.

The next morning Knight approached Wells as he walked out of the class running behind Eiran.

“Hi, I’m Knight Victor.”

“H-Hi, I’m Wells Claus.” Wells looked at him puzzled.

“I wanted to be friends with you,” Knight replied judging his expressions.

“Why?” Wells smiled awkwardly. “I mean there are better people to be friends with in the class. And you don’t really look like you are from a mediocre class.”

“Because you are friends with Eiran.”

“Eiran!” Wells’s eyes rounded and he grabbed his neck. “Actually we are not friends I’m just kind of his stalker. He doesn’t make friends at all.”

“I still want to be acquainted with you because you are the closest to Eiran in the school.”

“Alright.” Martin chuckled awkwardly. “I was going to eat lunch with Eiran. Wanna come?”

“Sure, let’s go.”

They entered the cafeteria and saw Eiran getting confessed by a gorgeous omega. The omega had his arms stretched out holding a flower.

“Confessing with a flower? What world does he live in.” Wells laughed.

Knight’s expression darkened and he gritted his teeth. “Well he might get rejected for that.”

“Not really.” Wells walked ahead slowly. “He doesn’t reject omegas.”

Something inside Knight’s stomach twisted. He saw Eiran accepting the flower and omega looked down shyly.

Wells put his bag on the table where Eiran backpack was placed on the opposite seat. Knight settled down on a chair his eyes still fixed at Eiran.

“Aren’t you going to get food?” Wells asked Knight.

“You go ahead, I’m not hungry.”

Eiran turned around and noticed him sitting on the table. “Why are you sitting here?”

“I came with Wells.” Knight tightened his lips. How are you so unfazed.

Eiran rolled his eyes and grabbed his bag before heading out. Knight was looking at the red rose in his hand. He imagined crushing it under his feet. The thought alone blazed his eyes with anger.

Later after evening classes Knight noticed Eiran leaving with that omega. Maybe I should not have given him time, I can’t bear to see him with another omega.

“You like him?”

Wells sudden question startled him. “What?” How did he know? Am I making it too obvious?

“That omega, do you like him?” Wells sipped onto his coffee. “If you want him you can pursue him after they break up. Their relationship won’t last more than two weeks.”

Knight frowned. “Not at all. I’m not interested in him.”

“But why do you want to be friends with Eiran.” Wells walked backward ahead of him while looking at him.

“Isn’t it good for social circle to be friends with him?”

“Yeah but he wouldn’t be friends with anyone.” Wells looked ahead. “See you tomorrow.”

Knight just stood there and let out a sigh.
