Chapter 2

Sujoy's POV 

 

I stopped believing in the cold double standards which had prevailed in my parents' youth. If I was attracted to a woman and she was ready, I didn't see why I should not sleep with her. 

 

Women were always throwing themselves at me, despite knowing I only offered one night. I had long stopped counting how many women I’d been within the last seven years.

 

"Can we talk about this later? The clients will be here any minute," I said, steering the conversation away.

 

Dad smirked. "You can’t escape this forever. Your mom has gone crazy, calling every relative and friend to find a suitable girl for you."

 

Oh, great.

 

"Mom is too much," I groaned.

 

Just then, my PA entered, announcing the arrival of our Japanese clients. We all went to the conference room.   Business came first.

 

We greeted each other and after the introductions, we started giving our detailed presentation

 

The meeting went perfectly. The clients were impressed with our vast retail chain and our strategic growth. Within 45 minutes, we had signed a lucrative deal, making us their official partners in India.

 

My dad was very happy and once the clients were gone, he came and hugged me. 

 

 "I’m so proud of you, son. You’ve expanded this business twenty-fold in just seven years. And this deal… it’ll be a game changer."

 

"No, Dad, we did this together. I couldn’t have done it without your experience and guidance," I said sincerely. He smiled and patted me on my back. 

 

We had lunch together, and before leaving, Dad said, "Finish your work soon. Sia and Rohit are coming this evening."

 

That brought a genuine smile to my face. "Aww, I was missing her too! I’ll be home before they arrive." I was so happy to hear that. I was missing Sia, my younger sister for a few days. 

 

Sia and I had always had a special bond. She is my younger sister but I have always treated her as if she was my little princess. 

 

Sia, my younger sister, was my little princess. Now, she was the queen of Rohit’s world, with their adorable daughter, Roohi. She was expecting another child, and I couldn’t wait to see them all.

 

I told my PA to cancel all meetings after four. The family came first.

 

Another Night, Another Woman

 

Just then, there was a knock on the door, and my PA, Jenny, walked in, carrying two steaming cups of coffee. She was beautiful, sultry—and had been openly flirting with me for months. I noticed the way she was looking at me.  

 

As she placed my cup near me, she brushed against my arm—deliberately. She had been dropping hints for a while, but I had always ignored them.

 

I have been flirting lightly with her too, but mixing business with pleasure? No!! It was a bad idea.

 

" Sir, you told me to book a table for dinner in your favorite restaurant. Do I need to cancel that as well?  "  She asked me. 

 

" Oh yes, I almost forgot about that thanks for reminding me, Jenny. Send some flowers to Ms. Sandhu with an apology card," I instructed. Jenny handled these things well—dealing with the women who called, messaged, or turned clingy.

 

But it was me who wanted to meet Kiya tonight, but my family took priority. So I decided to call Kiya myself and apologize for canceling the date.  I met her at a party last week and enjoyed her company. So l called her number.  She answered instantly in her bedroom voice.  

 

In fact, her voice dripped with seduction. "Hello."

 

Damn, I liked her voice. It turned me on...

 

"Hey, beautiful! I hope I’m not disturbing you?"

 

"Not at all… I was just thinking about you. It is so good that you called. I think it is a positive sign." she purred.

 

Oh, no! Not this "signs" nonsense again.

 

" I beg to differ, sweetheart... I don't believe in destiny, signs, and all those things. All I know is that I was looking forward to meeting you tonight, but it slipped my mind that I have to attend some family function. " 

 

" Awww... I was so excited about our date today. " 

 

" So was I, sweetheart... So was I. But I guess, you can't avoid certain things." I said in a matter-of-fact tone. 

 

" Certainly... " 

 

" So tell me when can you meet me again? " I asked her.

 

" Maybe tomorrow ... "

 

" Oh... I was counting every hour and was looking forward to meeting you. Now, I have to wait for hours. " I said in my flirting mode. 

 

" Oh, you are such a liar... " She said in a very low voice. 

 

Wow!!  Sexy voice. I am going to love hearing her, screaming my name. 

 

" Awww... It's ok, we will meet tomorrow. Bye, see you tomorrow. "  She said. 

 

" Bye sweetheart, think of me tonight as I would be doing the same. Good night. " I said and took a deep breath. I wanted to have her as soon as possible to get her out of my system. 

 

I flirted, keeping her hooked. I knew exactly how this would go. Tomorrow, I’d have her in my bed. And after that? She’d be out of my system.

 

No attachments. No commitments. Just another night.

 

And that’s how I liked it.
