“Ma'am? Are you sure she's still here?” The guards asked in confusion. They had searched the whole hospital without seeing Penny anywhere.

“She was here,” Bradley's mom said. “You can check the cameras. She hit me. She attacked us.”

She was very furious. She couldn't believe that Penny would hit her.

“Forget about it,” she said after a while. “I'm just going to call the police. I'm pressing charges,” she said.

A small smile appeared on Merline's face. She hadn't expected Penny to behave in that manner, but still, she loved that she had dug her own grave.

If Penny is arrested, her image will be ruined. And Bradley was going to be mad at her for hitting his mom. So either way, it felt like Penny had lost.

“I'll call them,” she said and happily took out her phone.

But at this moment, Bradley walked towards them. He had been informed by one of the guards who knew him about what had happened.

“What's going on?” He asked.
