Chapter Forty-six

Michael's POV:

I'd never seen her this insecure. The first time we married, all she'd expressed in situations like these were anger and withdrawing into her shell. I hadn't cared enough to know what exactly she felt at that time.

But now, I was really invested in how she felt about this. I knew she was bothered and greatly jealous and no matter how she tried to make this about the kids, I knew it was a blatant lie.

Brushing her hair back, I watched as her eyes turned liquid. She had beautiful eyes. Intense eyes that pulled me in. I'd really experienced the feeling of staring properly into bed eyes last night while we were having sex and I totally wanted more of that. I really wanted more of that.

"Trust me?" I asked, pulling her close enough to my breath to fan her cheeks.
