Catherine's POV: We had just finished having breakfast and I was watching a show with the kids when the door swung open. We all turned to see Michael walking into the house, his beta tailing behind him. He looked really upset and wasn't even listening as Trenton spoke to him. Jason's chip bag fell to the other side of the chair and he stood to his feet, pushing to the other side as he hurried towards Michael. I couldn't stop him because he was fast. Julia turned from the television and watched Jason towards Michael like she knew what was on my mind. It was always a bad idea to go after Michael especially when he was in a bad mood. I made a silent prayer to the moon goddess, begging that he didn't transfer his aggression to my little boy. As much as I didn't want to admit it, he was really terrible at keeping his temper in check and was always transferring his aggression onto anyone who was there to talk to him. Jason stopped before him and Michael stopped also,
Catherine's POV: We put the kids to sleep. It was something I'd always imagined doing since I could remember; having family and taking the kids to bed together. I couldn't stop myself from thinking about it even when things went rough between me and Michael. When we stepped out of the room, we stood awkwardly beside each other, contemplating on what way to go. It wasn't dark yet. I checked my time to see it was barely eight o'clock. Maybe a little dinner and an early sleep tonight is going to help. I turned to Michael with the aim of telling him I was going to bed but he spoke before I did. "I'm thinking of having dinner by the fountain and I'm wondering if you love to join me?" I blinked once, wondering if I was hearing right. "Dinner by the fountain?" He smiled. "You heard me right. What do you think?" I shrugged. "If you want that, then it's fine by me." He nodded at me. "Alright then, I'll see you in twenty minutes? I need to get cleaned up.
Catherine's POV: I burst into laughter at the second pop of the bottle of wine. The first one lay empty on the ground and Michael filed our cups before he looked up at me. "You're tipsy, Catherine." I shook my head and picked my fork. "No! I am not! Why would you say that?" "Because you are," He chuckled and filled his own cup before he looked at me with raised brows. "I don't want to give you another because I know you won't be yourself by the time you're done drinking." Sighing, I leaned against the backrest of my seat. Of course, things felt a tad bit weirder but I was in control of it. I really was. "I might be tipsy but I promise that I am aware of what I am doing." He placed the bottle on the table and took a sip from his cup before picking his fork. "I'll only do that on one condition. Eat up so you can have something laying the groundwork of your belly. You don't want to wake up extremely shitty tomorrow, do you?" "But can I eat and drink? It d
Alpha Michael's POV: Right from the moment I set eyes on her tonight, I knew resisting her was going to be hard for me. I had expected her to wear a simple dress. Heck, that was all she'd been wearing since I last saw her and I blamed it on her lack of fashion sense and the fact that she was more worried about taking care of twin kids than anything else. But tonight, she blew my mind. That red dress she had on messed with my hand and it had me saying things I'd been scared of saying. Like asking her out on a date and listening to her ramble off about the stars in the night skies. It was so wholesome and for a long time, I wasn't thinking of my next move or how to catch someone who was in possession of our divorce papers. Everything moved smoothly, words to words. My lips glided over her soft lips, reveling in her soft moans. I'd caught her before her fall and now, I straightened her to her feet, sliding my arms around her waist as I pulled her into me. My finger
Catherine's POV: I was naked in no time. The thin drapes behind the thick curtains moved with the wind, kissing my skin just like his lips did, feathery; almost ghostly. My skin sang as his lips left traces of his touch. His hand worked on my thighs, lifting them as he lodged his body between my legs, creating rhythms and waves of pleasure that tore through me. I felt like I was floating, like I had taken a pill that plunged me into euphoria. It was the most beautiful feeling ever, setting me ablaze, making me beg and yearn for more. For his touch on mine. I wanted him badly. I leaned towards him, begging for his upper body to return to mine so I could kiss him. But he was busy, tracing his lips down my hip. I want to cry out for him. I wanted to beg him to keep going. I did not want him to stop because this feeling could be compared to no other. He pulled me in so my body was directly against his face and he fell to his knees at the edge of the bed, grazing my
Catherine's POV: The next morning, I woke up to the sun shining brightly in my room. Sighing, I turned over in my bed, a wide smile on my face. Life was indeed good at this moment. Birds chirped on trees and I could hear the sound of a lawnmower down below and Jason's yell as Julia called after him. Rolling over with my eyes still closed, I turned to feel the bed but it was empty. My eyes flew open and I sighed when I realized that my bed was empty, the remnant of his presence here holding his overpowering cologne. Sitting up, I realized I was naked. Memories from last night flooded in and I blushed furiously, wrapping the sheets around my chest as I climbed out of the bed and walked towards the window. I looked down below, at the area bustling with activities. A few maids were cleaning the pool and the gardener groomed the plants to perfection. I looked forward, towards the other end of the area. My heart skipped a beat when I saw Michael with a large wat
Alpha Michael's POV: Today had started off on a good note. Waking up to Catherine in my bed, naked and looking fuckable. I'd planned on waking her up with kisses and a good morning sex but the Kids' voices had floated up to my ears, drawing me to the window. Jason and Julia had been playing with water guns. Interested, I'd slipped into a pair of shorts and a tank top, leaving Catherine to sleep properly so I could spend a little time with the kids, see if Julia was going to soften up to me. And she did. It had been hard at first with her not wanting to be close to me but that had been taken care of and soon, she was running away from me in a fit of laughter as I shot the water gun at her. After that, we'd stepped into the house to the most beautiful aroma in the world. Apparently, the kids recognised it to be their mother's cooking and they began to jump for joy, glad that she was cooking. And now, with the intent of coming to enjoy her meal, I was met with the very
Catherine's POV: When I saw her, the shock that rippled through me was groundbreaking. The last time we'd met, she had been rude to me and later, I found out who she was to Michael. "Mum, I want more veggies!" Julia whined as she pushed her plate towards me. Looking up, I forced a smile that refused to be produced, picking a spoon from the metal dish and scooping a general amount of vegetables onto her plate. She giggled and pulled it back before she continued to eat. I caught Michael staring at her with a smile and like he knew I was watching him, he raised his head to look at me and I immediately bowed and picked my spoon, playing around with my food. The kids were the first to finish and that was because they were enthusiastic to eat. I was quite a good cook and even Michael had asked for more. Once I was done pushing my food around my plate from lack of appetite, I pushed my seat back and stood to my feet. “Catherine," He stopped me right before I wa
