Chapter Thirty-seven

Alpha Michael's POV:

I kept tossing and turning in my bed, hoping that all of these was a dream I was going to wake up from.

I'd been in contact with Shaft all night, unable to even sleep a wink even if my body was almost failing me. I was extremely tired, begging for sleep to lift me into the Dreamland but it never came.

After my conversation with Shaft, I decided to close my eyes in sleep but it didn't come. So I climbed out of my bed and walked to the table, taking a seat as I thought about Catherine's plea to allow the kids to start schooling.

Of course, she was right. The kids deserved an environment where they needed to thrive, to relate with the other kids. Hell, to make friends but not now. Not with how things were going.

I was still unable to identify who had masterminded their kidnap. There were so many untied loose ends which I needed to straighten and it was so hard having to do several things, one at a time. But time wasn't on my side either. The eld
