Eve catwalked as she wore a ravishing smile on her face, sampling the signed cheque in her hand. As always she got the maximum attention from everyone around. There were stares, silent cheers, and glares, she paid no attention to any of it, but she loved it. She was looking even more bitchy than ever, her brown leather skirt was hanging above her knee, exposing her curvy shape and her voluptuous butt. Her black, slim-fitted turtle-neck shirt, perfectly hugged her perky breasts. And of course, she didn't put on brassier, her broad nipples hanging for the world to see.

Cindy gripped the file in her hand in frustration as she monitored what the bystanders whispered when Evelyn stepped into the building. She didn't care if it was complimentary or insults because she knew Evelyn wouldn't mind. She hated the fact that everyone was just so wrapped up in Evelyn. Of course, Evelyn was their boss but it was more than that. And she was Evelyn's cousin, she also deserved to have some kind of impact on everyone as Evelyn does. It still fascinated her how Evelyn had great command over her words, and actions. Evelyn had instructed that no one call her by her birth name Evelyn and till now not even a single soul violated that rule. Even in her dreams, she was terrified to mention Eve's full name. She took a deep sigh, trying to erase the hatred she had for her before approaching her.

" Eve, where the hell have you been? " Cindy replied rushing towards her, " Members of the board have been waiting for an hour. "

Eve waved the cheque all over Cindy's face, " Look at this, look at this.. "

Cindy tried to take the cheque but Eve drew it away from her, " I didn't say you should touch it. "

Cindy gnashed her teeth, " Are you going to tell me what it is? "

" No, you'll find out with the rest... " Eve noticed how worried Cindy suddenly became, " Don't worry, it's good news. " She smirked turning around.

" Excuse me? "

Eve paused in utter shock as she heard that familiar voice, her hands trembled as she instantly time traveled back to a familiar memory. She immediately flipped her head to get a visual of where she heard the voice from. It was a man she haven't seen before or so she thought. She stood still briefly drawn to this man she has just seen. His hair sent chills down her spine, and that familiar smile he wore on his face gave her a strong sense of nostalgia. Eve slowly shook her head in disbelief, there's no way it could be him, it had to be some sort of coincidence. She didn't believe in fairy tales and dreams coming true anymore, she had to be realistic. Eve immediately shook off that thought before it made her lose composure.

Seth's heart skipped a beat as he got a closer look at her eyes, he didn't know when he left his mouth open. The eyes were exactly as he remembered, light blue. But no, it couldn't be her, there was no way. He scrutinized her from head to toe and apart from her identical hair and spot-on eyes, her outward look gave him different energy. Her resolve sent him cold chills of dominance, a force to be reckoned with, a wild animal in disguise. That wasn't what he recalled when he thought of the mystery girl he met that fateful night, she was fragile, beautiful in and out, and had a sincere, transparent face. The brute force he felt from the woman standing in front of him affected his resolve, for a second there he forgot about his aims.

" I'm... I... err... " Seth could barely put his words together.

Eve arched a brow, " Who are you? " her possessive voice rang.

" I'm uh... I'm... " Seth was stuttering.

Eve turned her gaze to Cindy, " Who the hell is this? "

Cindy went over to Seth pulling him closer to Eve, " Seth Boswell... your new manager. "

Eve's face lightened, " Oh! " She glanced over to him, " Introduce yourself properly. "

Seth was already sweating, " Seth... Seth Boswell. "

" Boswell... Boswell, are you related to a Martin Boswell? " Eve hoped he was not, there was the fact that she just secured fifty million dollars from that old idiot, she wanted this man to be her manager, but she didn't know why yet.

Seth flinched as he heard his father's name, " No... no, I haven't heard that name before. "

" Hmmm... " Eve walked closer to him relieved, she circled him as she took notes of his appearance nodding, " He's pretty... Cindy, I like him, I want him. "

" Eve... " Cindy called grasping her forehead as she knew Eve's routine of territorial markings. " He's your MANAGER. " Cindy emphasized.

" Yes, he is, " Eve stretched forth her hands over to Seth who was still deep in thoughts. " You're hired. "

Seth who was lost got a thump from Cindy jerking him back to reality, Seth finally took Eve's hands, " I'm sorry, it's just that you look like someone really important to me. "

Eve chuckled, " Really? "

" You're not her. " Seth concluded with a serious tone.

Eve took back her hand, " Of course, I'm not, " She turned over to Cindy, " Board meeting, now. " Eve walked away from them.

Seth stood starring at Eve as she walked further away, his eyes squinting as she disappeared farther.

Cindy thumped him again, " Hey! hey! "

Seth was pulled out from his delusions once more, " Yes! "

" Are you lost or something? " Cindy asked.

" No... "

Cindy walked past him, " You're coming? "

" Yes of course. " Seth replied following Cindy from behind.

Eve walked into the board room avoiding the awkward gazes that were laced on her, as Cindy said she had made them wait for an hour. Well, she couldn't give two fucks, she was out getting money. she Headed straight for the chair in front of all of them she dropped her purse on top of the table as she sat in silence.

" I hope you've been well, " Eve sighed, " The first order of business __

" Eve darling... " Ramone, her uncle, and godfather cut her short, " I think you should apologize to us for making us wait this long, no? "

Eve grinned,

" Yes__

Eve shot her aunt Cathy a fiery look before she could conclude her statement.

" I'm sorry I was late, I was busy. " Eve nonchalantly said

" With what? " Cathy continued, " What could be more important than this? "

" Honey she already apologized, let it go. " Ramone replied.

" What could be more important than this? " Eve asked,

Cindy knew if she didn't intervene, Eve would make a complete mockery of her mother In front of everyone, " Eve please... not now. "

Eve's eyes met with Seth, her new manager and that familiar feeling crept back into her, the way he looked at her was so enthralling.

" Eve? " Ramone called her.

Eve stood up from her chair, revealing the cheque once more as she prepped to make the announcement.

" I have news, listen carefully... I and Ramone have been talking about it for a while but we couldn't make it public because... " Eve smiled, " Well, because I don't trust any of you. " Eve paused for a second, basking herself in the angry murmurs that followed.

" I, with the assistance of my dearest uncle, " She walked over to him patting him by the shoulder on purpose to spite both Cathy and Cindy, " We concocted a new recipe... "

Cathy arched a brow in surprise as she shot Ramone a confused look.

" Yes, people there's going to be another batch, and it's going to be called Eve's brute. " Eve concluded with a smile.

The silence in the room was just as she expected, weird and uncomfortable glances were exchanged as they were either confused or shocked.

" You hid such an important aspect of this company from all of us, what do you take us for? " Eve could sense the anger in Cathy's voice as she spoke, and it excited her.

" You really what me to answer that? " Eve asked calmly, " I just said I couldn't trust anybody else with the project, it is a delicate issue. I'm only saying it now because there's absolutely nothing you can do about it now. "

" Ramone! " Cathy roared, " You hear her insult me and you keep quiet. "

" Cathy, will you please calm down? what's the big deal if she didn't tell us about it sooner? it's still for the good of our brand. " Micheal Hall spoke from the left side of the room.

Eve smirked rolling her eyes through everyone's faces, she'd gotten the replies she wanted. She had calculated everyone's resolve to get a better result. She knew her uncle Ramone would always have her back no matter what, he was indeed her father. Eve had kept the details of the night her family got killed to herself. At the dinner table, her father had revealed that she was not his child. And while eve did not tell ramone, she suspected that he knew and wanted to protect his family. While ramone gave her full support, Cathy on the other hand was the opposite. she was aware of Cathy's hatred and jealousy for her, so she expected a tantrum from her. Michael Hall wanted to be on her good side to hopefully gain something from her, something like more shares since he owned just five percent.

" So? since we're clear on that, let's move to the next phase.

" Eve, " Cindy called, " You surprised us with Eve's brute but you've not talked about the funding, we can't__

" Maybe next time you should let me finish, " Eve displayed the cheque for everyone to see, " This is a cheque of fifty million... fifty million, now does anyone here have any questions about funding? " Eve asked gazing at Cindy.

She couldn't respond and then Eve said, " I thought so, that's why I own seventy percent of this company shares and you own nothing. "

Cindy felt like a huge rock landed on her head, she instantly felt numb.

" Eve, take it easy on her. " Ramone cautioned.

" Where the heck did you get that kind of money? " Micheal asked still in shock.

Eve smiled, " I have my ways. "

" I knew you could do It, I'm proud of you. " Ramone smiled at her.

" Thanks, uncle. " She replied.

Eve glanced around once more, she was once again getting the feedback that she wanted and she was happy. She spotted Cathy's dumbfounded look, she was feeling defeated already. Michael Hall was amazed, now he would support and believe in her even more.

Seth was struggling to keep still as his hands and legs trembled, his eyes heavy as he was already consumed with rage. His family was broke to the teeth and in debt and here this woman was parading what belonged to them. As he stared at the cheque, it fueled his yearning to follow through with his plans. He had also used this short time to study Eve from up close and boy was she a difficult person. She was smarter than he initially thought. How she was able to singlehandedly manipulate everyone seated in the office still amazed him. Seth chuckled, he was going to make sure that Eve's brute is a complete disaster.
