“Princess?” he asked, his mood suddenly shifting toward me while his men circled us.

“I’m sorry,” I apologized, but his fury burst out.

“That’s why you healed so fast!” he said, and I nodded.

I could feel his desire to strangle me—or to let out his wolf—but he held it back. I could feel his wolf too, like it was abandoned.

“It all makes sense now. Do you know what your parents did to me?” he growled.

“I wasn’t born,” I cried out.

“My parents devoted themselves to your family, risking their lives for yours, and what did they get in return?” he asked, but I could only stare in silence.

“Betrayal,” he growled.

“Your father killed mine and banished me and my poor mother from the land for no reason!” he yelled.

“That’s not true,” I cried, but my voice was no match for his fury.

“Not true? Then what’s true?” he asked.

“My father was murdered by Kade, who also killed yours,” I cried, but it fell on deaf ears.

He came to me and held me by my hair, my face pressed into his sweaty armpit.

“Don’t worry, Nina. You’re going to pay for what your father did. See it as a thank you—for saving your life three times,” he said.

He walked out, and his men rushed me back to the house—not the main house, but a dog hut. They threw me in and locked me out in the cold night.

How could fate mate me with someone like him? He was everything I ever dreamed of, everything I’ve ever wanted since I met him. But now, my mate was my biggest enemy.

“Are you sleeping?” the kind woman asked again. I looked at her as she passed me food and a blanket, glancing around nervously. She had been kind to me, but I still didn’t know who she was.

The morning light hit me, and I woke up to see my bike parked beside me. If I could only break out, I would run away. I didn’t mind being hunted by two Alphas as long as I was safe.

“Wake up!” Rage yelled, throwing a bucket of cold water at me.

“We're getting hunted down by your pack and you're here enjoying your sleep,” He spoke again.

“What?!” I yelled back.

“You’re growing feisty, Nina,” he said.

“What do you want?” I raised my voice.

“The truth,” he said. He yanked open the cage, and I came out, finally able to stretch my body.

“Which truth?” I asked, coming back to my senses.

“You’re going to tell me your intentions—and why you let me walk in thinking you were the bait, but instead I was the bait,” he said. I looked down in embarrassment.

“I’m sorry... I knew if I told you, this is the treatment I’d get,” I said, pointing at the cage.

“Princess, I should’ve auctioned you that night,” he said.

I wasn’t even disappointed anymore. I knew this was how he was.

“Why didn’t you auction me?” I asked.

“I bailed you out. Doesn’t matter,” he barked, but I wasn’t done.

“But why did you do it? I know you feel like I do?” I yelled but his face looked unmoved.

“You should know something, in this pack you don't own something till you claim it,” he said, which made sense why he bought me again.

“Stupid rule!” I sconned.

“Not as your park rule don't you think?” He spoke and I just shut down.

His wolf scuffled and I could hear it, the urge to come out but he shut it down, he blinked due to the surge but he held it down, the attraction was there but he saw me as an enemy when all I want is safety.

“Why are you shutting down your wolf?” I asked, feeling the wolf’s loneliness.

“And the bond—why did you resist it?” I asked.

“Because you're in danger, I'm not a peaceful man Nina, I have enemies all over but if I knew your identity, I would have mated the first night maybe both if us would have been hunted,” he growled but these words broke my heart.

How can I want someone who clearly doesn't want me?

“I believe you have your answers. Kade isn’t hunting me just because of some rivalry. He’s after me because I took the key to his throne,” he said, and I couldn’t argue.

“I can run away,” I suggested.

“Wouldn’t change anything, would it?” he asked, raising an eyebrow. I looked down again.

“Lock her up,” Rage ordered. His men came and grabbed me—this time, not the cage but a prison.

I was alone, scared, and didn’t know what to do. Memories of my childhood came rushing back. I’d never known anything but terror. I used to feed my soul with my mother’s stories—how life was before my father’s death. How she was treated when she was pregnant. How the pack was happy under his leadership.

I wished he would leave to see me, my life would have changed, he would bring down anyone that caused me pain.

Until his beta, Kade, betrayed him on the battlefield.

Then a memory from when I was twelve hit me, it was like a vision in my brain an Information that was omitted and I'd never discovered, it went blurry but my eyes widened and the more it came clear. My neck itched—burned. I touched it.

It was a mark.

I didn’t remember ever giving anyone a chance to mark me—not even Rage, even though I was willingly giving myself to him.

I rubbed my neck. I could see the moment—but not the face. I saw myself lying in my dusty room at Kade’s house. A shadowy figure entered the room, I tried seeing him but my vision failed me. He came in. I could see his teeth shining on my face, I tried to move back but my body was stuck like I was held by some forces I didn't understand. He marked me.

I tried to see the face. It was blurry. I seemed drugged.

“Lucious, it’s not yet time,” Kade’s voice echoed.

Lucious marked me!

I gasped.

  • THE ALPHA BIKER'S BRIDE    I am Luna

“Can I get some food at least?” I spoke, and he scoffed.“You're the one bringing us food today, don't you know?” he spoke, and I gasped.“You'll hunt for us today,” he spoke, and my fists closed in. I could feel the fear crippling on me. He smirked, knowing fully well I couldn't, plus it was a danger for me to leave the shelter.“I don't think I can. Why can't Clara handle that?” I spoke, looking behind at Clara, who smiled like she enjoyed the toucher.“Don't worry, I'll go,” Rosa spoke behind me.“Why don't Luna here go and prove to us what she can do?” Clara said. I could feel the mock on her face and oh! It turned my stomach like a spike.“Why don't you, Miss Goody Goody, show us what you've got?” I said, going to her bike, eyeball to eyeball, and I didn't flinch. I could tell my gaze burned her down.“It's an order!” I let out, and she unwillingly rode off. I smiled as I looked at the proud look of Rage.“

  • THE ALPHA BIKER'S BRIDE    bound by vengeance

“Kade has a bounty on me,” I whispered, finally sitting down to relax. “You don't say, what's the price?” he asked, pouring a glass of whiskey for himself. “I dare you to look at my face and tell me that you didn't know anything about that,” I said softly, my eyes closing in his never-blinking eyes. “What if I know? What am I supposed to do about that?” he spoke arrogantly while sipping his whiskey. “Help me,” I whispered, my voice being swallowed by my small echo. He leaned forward, holding his glass while looking straight into my eyes and spoke only two words. “No!” he spoke so rigidly, direct to the point with emphasis. He got up, leaving me chasing him just like I did the first time, down the hallway. “Please, Kade would kill me if I don't have help,” I yelled. “Good,” he replied over his shoulders. “Good as in you'll help me, or good because I'm going to die?” I said, finally standing after the chase. He stood at his bedroom door so coldly and locked up his room like a re

  • THE ALPHA BIKER'S BRIDE    the bounty hunters

They moved like swift weapons; you could hear them but couldn't see them. The forest was their shade, the leaves covering the very intention of them being seen. The person I assumed to be Rage still lingered on the huge tree. The bike was closing in. I stood there with no weapon to defend myself, my only defense being my confidence. I moved through the night, my injuries open for the leaves to feast on.I was the prey, not for food but for money and for land, but as long as I felt connected with land, there's no way I'm giving up. I ran away from them, my feet met the ground, and it seemed like ways opened up for me. I didn't struggle, but even barefoot, the trees didn’t prick me.Nature opened a way for me until I rushed into a cave. It was foreign but underground, deep and far beyond the bounty hunters’ reach. I didn't know their identity—whether werewolf, hunters like Rage, or vampire—but one thing I was sure of was that they're after my life. The ground closed in with leaves as if

  • THE ALPHA BIKER'S BRIDE    Am I the villain?

I walked through the thick dark forest, my motivation being my revenge. The image of my father's ghost resurfacing got me thinking—if I could really communicate with him, I have a lot of questions to ask him.My stomach growls, but my heart growled more. What if Rage has really replaced me? Is this the end? How could he leave me alone in a season I know I wanted him the most? I thought we agreed to always be together—the love, the bond—Was it all a sham or true? The sound of a falling river caught my ears. All I wanted was a place where I could find peace, even if it was the least expected place. The view was amazing. With every fall, the water made a rhythm. I couldn't help but get closer. I couldn't fight the urge to touch the water anymore, so I reached out.It felt like hugging or smiling with Rage. Both of them brought something out of me that I couldn't explain.“For a little girl, you’ve got big ambitions!” a voice spoke. I turned around only to see my father’s spirit again, b

  • THE ALPHA BIKER'S BRIDE    The Genesis

My eyes opened with a very familiar scent oozing around me. The sound of the hill was almost too familiar. I lifted my head up and, just like déjà vu, I was back at Kade's torture chamber. The only thing that changed was the crispy burn smell caused by Rage. The scent of a familiar perfume reached the room before she could—rich, elegant, but still full of pride. Nothing could have prepared me to see Victoria standing outside the door. How did she get here? Why was she here? In Kade's territory? Something was definitely fishy. I quickly flipped my head to the other side, avoiding anything to do with her eyes.“I can see you decided to come back home,” she spoke, her gravity of words still not enough to move me.“What are you doing here, Vic?” I spoke but made an elegant accent like hers. It irked her off, and I loved every bit of it.“You mean I'm not allowed to visit my father?” she spoke, and I could only roll my eyes as I watched Kade entering the room with a priestess. Apart from h

  • THE ALPHA BIKER'S BRIDE    The soil calls my name

He didn't waste a chance to snore like he was never in the mood to be with me, but that didn't flatter me.How can I be living under a man's shadow when my father left me an empire? It was ruled by Kade and his men, but deep down, the soil kept on calling my name. I had to fight and reclaim what's mine, but how do I handle it with Rage, especially being a hunter?“What are you thinking?” he asked, his eyes closed but his hands moving.“A way to burn Victoria to ashes,” I lied, looking outside at the shining moon.“You mean Vic?” he asked, and I nearly lost my mind—the audacity of him even correcting her name.“You mean Vic?” I mimicked him, but in a ridiculous way. Whether he heard me or not didn't bother me; I just wanted her to sweep the trail of my bike.I couldn't sleep when the sun rose up and met my eyes wide awake, but Rage seemed to have a nice sleep—stretched like someone who just carried a blast of cement.“I have to go,” I muttered, avoiding his gaze.“Where? Do you know an
