He came outside to meet me while I was clearing the bushes, a toothpick always in his mouth. Except this time, he was dressed officially. His suit hugged his body perfectly. His curved facial features gave him a dangerous look.

Two other men walked beside him, all looking ferocious. I tried keeping myself busy, slashing through the grass, but I wasn't used to this, so I struggled.

"Miss, what's your name?" he asked, the toothpick dancing between his lips.

"Nina," I said, my hair falling over my eyes.

"Fill her in," Rage said, and one of the men walked toward me. I didn't know him, but from his commanding presence, I could tell he was the Beta of the pack.

"Are you really sure you want to be free from the Bloodfang pack?" he asked. I nodded, a smirk of anticipation playing on my lips.

"You're willing to do anything?" he asked again. I nodded.

"Great," he said.

"Alpha, she has agreed to continue with the mating," he whispered. I was baffled.

"Good," Rage said casually, like it meant nothing. Who was I mating with? Was it him? Or had he sold me out again like last time?

"We leave for the pack tonight, and you'll have to mate with Lucious," he added casually. My heart dropped.

"I would rather have my neck cut with a razor than marry Lucious," I said in fury. He felt it, and he knew.

"Slow down, missy. You won't actually mate with him. You're our bait. When their guard is down, we attack," he said. But being used as bait didn’t sound like a good excuse.

"I’m not sure about that," I said.

"Do you have a better idea?" He leaned forward, his breath warming the air. I looked away from his intense gaze and nodded.

"Good. Before they follow your scent, we attack first. Tonight, we'll use the full moon to our advantage," he said, walking away with his men following.

"Don't just stand there. Finish your work," he called, and I turned to continue slashing like he wasn’t there watching me.

"My maids will dress you up. We’re going to a mating ceremony, not a bike competition," he added. It sounded ironic to me.

He left with his men, leaving me with two options: flee from him or trust him with something that could trigger me and stay. But no matter how hard I tried to fight it, I found myself bowing to his will. I remained and slashed the grass.

"Leave that, dear. We have to get you ready," a kind woman said from behind me. I didn’t know her, but she looked gentle, so I followed her.

She opened a grand bedroom dressing room for me. I walked in, amazed. Even though I was a princess, I had never been treated better than a slave or servant.

She clapped her hands, and maids walked in with a trolley full of elegant dresses, makeup, and jewelry. My memory shifted to the night they brought me out to pick a mate. Same treatment, but different intentions.

Evening arrived. All glammed up, they came to pick me. Unwilling but with no choice, I walked out to the luxury car parked outside. My bike stood beside it. I walked toward the bike, but he rolled down his window.

"Follow them. My men and I are behind you," he said softly before rolling the glass back up.

I took my bike and followed my instincts back home, driving with frustration and hope. How would my mom be? Was she even alive? I kept asking myself, but no answer came.

I arrived at the borders, but the reception was brutal. Lucious’s men surrounded me. I got down peacefully, but they slapped me anyway. I walked forward slowly, searching for any trace of Rage.

"Look who's back?" Lucious sneered, his cigar releasing more smoke than his soul carried humanity.

"I realized I had no way out of this but to mate you," I said calmly.

"Where's my mom?" I asked.

"You'll see her after the mating ceremony. This time, there's no way for you to escape," he said, and his men grabbed me.

They tied me to a tree with tight rope. Kade came out and sat on his throne, watching my every move.

"Did you search for her?" Kade asked.

"No need. She walked back to us, Father," Lucious replied.

Kade couldn't hold back. His hands, fueled with anger, slapped Lucious hard. Lucious groaned in pain. It satisfied my soul.

"Round up the place. Let the mating start," he commanded. No elders, no witnesses—just them. I was about to be mated, and still no sign of Rage.

I should have known better. A man who once tried to auction me couldn’t be trusted. I was a fool.

Lucious approached, teasing my face with a knife. I couldn’t hold my disgust. I spat on his face. He slapped me. Kade didn’t seem to care.

"Do you, Nina, take Lucious to be your mate?" Kade asked. I said nothing.

"Do you, Lucious, take Nina to be your mate?" he asked again.

"I do," a voice answered. Rage stepped out of the shadows. They tried to react, but they were surrounded.

"You see, Kade, she can't mate with your son because she's my mate," Rage said.

He knew all along.

Kade tried to fight, but a silver knife to his head and Lucious’s side paralyzed them. They just stared at Rage, who was playing with his toothpick.

"We came here because it’s obviously bad to have a mating with no elders. Don’t you think, Kade?" Rage said, walking over to release me. My wrists were raw and itching.

"This is no way to treat my mate. You should have known better," he added.

"What do you want, Rage?" Kade asked. They knew each other.

"Good question. We need you to oversee the mating ceremony," Rage said with a smile, eyes never leaving Kade. Lucious burned with anger, but this wasn’t his night. It was mine.

"Do you, Princess Nina, take Rage to be your mate?" Kade asked. Rage’s eyes burned into mine. I was uncovered, yet he didn’t say a word—he just smiled.

"Yes," I said, his eyes still on me.

"Do you, Rage, take Nina to be your mate?" Kade asked again. Rage nodded.

He didn’t say anything. Just turned and walked away. I slowly followed.

"Rage!" Kade yelled.

Rage stopped but didn’t look back.

"Always watch your back!" Kade barked.

Rage smiled. "Bring it on, weak one," he said and walked away. He was fast, but I kept up. The flame inside me dimmed, as if it knew the mating was complete.

How do I tell him my mother is still held hostage?

How can I be his Luna… when my blood is responsible for destroying everything he loved?

  • THE ALPHA BIKER'S BRIDE    I am Luna

“Can I get some food at least?” I spoke, and he scoffed.“You're the one bringing us food today, don't you know?” he spoke, and I gasped.“You'll hunt for us today,” he spoke, and my fists closed in. I could feel the fear crippling on me. He smirked, knowing fully well I couldn't, plus it was a danger for me to leave the shelter.“I don't think I can. Why can't Clara handle that?” I spoke, looking behind at Clara, who smiled like she enjoyed the toucher.“Don't worry, I'll go,” Rosa spoke behind me.“Why don't Luna here go and prove to us what she can do?” Clara said. I could feel the mock on her face and oh! It turned my stomach like a spike.“Why don't you, Miss Goody Goody, show us what you've got?” I said, going to her bike, eyeball to eyeball, and I didn't flinch. I could tell my gaze burned her down.“It's an order!” I let out, and she unwillingly rode off. I smiled as I looked at the proud look of Rage.“

  • THE ALPHA BIKER'S BRIDE    bound by vengeance

“Kade has a bounty on me,” I whispered, finally sitting down to relax. “You don't say, what's the price?” he asked, pouring a glass of whiskey for himself. “I dare you to look at my face and tell me that you didn't know anything about that,” I said softly, my eyes closing in his never-blinking eyes. “What if I know? What am I supposed to do about that?” he spoke arrogantly while sipping his whiskey. “Help me,” I whispered, my voice being swallowed by my small echo. He leaned forward, holding his glass while looking straight into my eyes and spoke only two words. “No!” he spoke so rigidly, direct to the point with emphasis. He got up, leaving me chasing him just like I did the first time, down the hallway. “Please, Kade would kill me if I don't have help,” I yelled. “Good,” he replied over his shoulders. “Good as in you'll help me, or good because I'm going to die?” I said, finally standing after the chase. He stood at his bedroom door so coldly and locked up his room like a re

  • THE ALPHA BIKER'S BRIDE    the bounty hunters

They moved like swift weapons; you could hear them but couldn't see them. The forest was their shade, the leaves covering the very intention of them being seen. The person I assumed to be Rage still lingered on the huge tree. The bike was closing in. I stood there with no weapon to defend myself, my only defense being my confidence. I moved through the night, my injuries open for the leaves to feast on.I was the prey, not for food but for money and for land, but as long as I felt connected with land, there's no way I'm giving up. I ran away from them, my feet met the ground, and it seemed like ways opened up for me. I didn't struggle, but even barefoot, the trees didn’t prick me.Nature opened a way for me until I rushed into a cave. It was foreign but underground, deep and far beyond the bounty hunters’ reach. I didn't know their identity—whether werewolf, hunters like Rage, or vampire—but one thing I was sure of was that they're after my life. The ground closed in with leaves as if

  • THE ALPHA BIKER'S BRIDE    Am I the villain?

I walked through the thick dark forest, my motivation being my revenge. The image of my father's ghost resurfacing got me thinking—if I could really communicate with him, I have a lot of questions to ask him.My stomach growls, but my heart growled more. What if Rage has really replaced me? Is this the end? How could he leave me alone in a season I know I wanted him the most? I thought we agreed to always be together—the love, the bond—Was it all a sham or true? The sound of a falling river caught my ears. All I wanted was a place where I could find peace, even if it was the least expected place. The view was amazing. With every fall, the water made a rhythm. I couldn't help but get closer. I couldn't fight the urge to touch the water anymore, so I reached out.It felt like hugging or smiling with Rage. Both of them brought something out of me that I couldn't explain.“For a little girl, you’ve got big ambitions!” a voice spoke. I turned around only to see my father’s spirit again, b

  • THE ALPHA BIKER'S BRIDE    The Genesis

My eyes opened with a very familiar scent oozing around me. The sound of the hill was almost too familiar. I lifted my head up and, just like déjà vu, I was back at Kade's torture chamber. The only thing that changed was the crispy burn smell caused by Rage. The scent of a familiar perfume reached the room before she could—rich, elegant, but still full of pride. Nothing could have prepared me to see Victoria standing outside the door. How did she get here? Why was she here? In Kade's territory? Something was definitely fishy. I quickly flipped my head to the other side, avoiding anything to do with her eyes.“I can see you decided to come back home,” she spoke, her gravity of words still not enough to move me.“What are you doing here, Vic?” I spoke but made an elegant accent like hers. It irked her off, and I loved every bit of it.“You mean I'm not allowed to visit my father?” she spoke, and I could only roll my eyes as I watched Kade entering the room with a priestess. Apart from h

  • THE ALPHA BIKER'S BRIDE    The soil calls my name

He didn't waste a chance to snore like he was never in the mood to be with me, but that didn't flatter me.How can I be living under a man's shadow when my father left me an empire? It was ruled by Kade and his men, but deep down, the soil kept on calling my name. I had to fight and reclaim what's mine, but how do I handle it with Rage, especially being a hunter?“What are you thinking?” he asked, his eyes closed but his hands moving.“A way to burn Victoria to ashes,” I lied, looking outside at the shining moon.“You mean Vic?” he asked, and I nearly lost my mind—the audacity of him even correcting her name.“You mean Vic?” I mimicked him, but in a ridiculous way. Whether he heard me or not didn't bother me; I just wanted her to sweep the trail of my bike.I couldn't sleep when the sun rose up and met my eyes wide awake, but Rage seemed to have a nice sleep—stretched like someone who just carried a blast of cement.“I have to go,” I muttered, avoiding his gaze.“Where? Do you know an
