“Kade has a bounty on me,” I whispered, finally sitting down to relax.

“You don't say, what's the price?” he asked, pouring a glass of whiskey for himself.

“I dare you to look at my face and tell me that you didn't know anything about that,” I said softly, my eyes closing in his never-blinking eyes.

“What if I know? What am I supposed to do about that?” he spoke arrogantly while sipping his whiskey.

“Help me,” I whispered, my voice being swallowed by my small echo.

He leaned forward, holding his glass while looking straight into my eyes and spoke only two words. “No!” he spoke so rigidly, direct to the point with emphasis.

He got up, leaving me chasing him just like I did the first time, down the hallway.

“Please, Kade would kill me if I don't have help,” I yelled.

“Good,” he replied over his shoulders.

“Good as in you'll help me, or good because I'm going to die?” I said, finally standing after the chase. He stood at his bedroom door so coldly and locked up his room like a rebel teenager.

I rushed back to the seat to cry myself out. For me to be vulnerable... I’ve been strong for so long. Betrayal and pain have become the thyme of my life lately, and I just had to break down.

“What do I get in return?” Rage spoke behind me, dragging his drink. His eyebrows lifted as if only looking at me with one eye.

“What do you want?” I asked, my voice shaking while wiping my tears from him.

“Can you pay the price or just talk? You sound like a bluff,” he spoke so arrogantly.

“Boss, we have an intruder!” the short guy yelled.

“Shoti, we are busy!” I yelled back.

“Oh! And you grew feisty, but then acting without thinking doesn't work in a battlefield,” he spoke, heading out.

“She’s not my mom,” I spoke so softly, but he heard me as his boot footsteps stopped, and he turned.

“Take care of that,” he spoke, coming back.

“Yes, sir, should I also close the door?” he asked behind the door.

“How about you remove the door and hang it outside?” he spoke sarcastically while chuckling.

“How did you find out?” he asked, not shaken. I can’t believe this. He knew everything.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” I shouted.

“Slowly there, missy. I don’t remember any agreement of telling you anything!” he spoke, drinking his wine unshaken. Seeing him calm somehow calmed me down. It felt like being with him left me with no choice but to listen. He was the Alpha and didn’t have to speak to emphasize that.

“When did you find out?” I asked, finally swallowing my pride.

“When you’re born, dummy,” he chuckled.

“Nothing is funny here, Rage,” I spoke.

“Well, why don’t you call Lucious and joke with him? You two look cozy together,” he spoke, sensing jealousy in his voice.

It was him. I was right. He was the one under the bushes yesterday, but why didn’t he help me? Was it spite or jealousy?

“So do you want my help in finding your mom or reducing the bounty?” he asked, finally sitting down.

“You're not planning on returning me to Kade, are you?” I asked, and he laughed.

“You can’t trust anyone in a battlefield, not especially a biker,” he spoke.

“I’m a decent one,” I whispered.

“Are you really?” he asked, narrowing the distance with his head. He was right. I was now juggling two men. I couldn’t even trust myself. Did I love them or just use them for my benefit?

“I thought so,” he spoke, sitting upright again.

“I can help you get your revenge,” I spoke, and he laughed.

“What makes you think that I need your help to get to Kade?” he asked, but I was prepared.

“The truth is you can’t. If you can, why haven’t you reached him yet?” I asked, and he chuckled, pointing me with the hands that he held the wine.

“The full moon is on the rise in a couple of days, what do you have for me?” he asked, finally giving into my offer.

“My mom doesn’t know that I know her secret,” I started.

“What makes you sure about that?” he asked.

“I have years of experience snooping and scratching through the hall,” I spoke, and he nodded.

“To get to the king, we’ll have to use the queen,” I spoke, and he smiled.

“Are you proposing giving in to Kade’s demands?” he asked.

“Yes,” I spoke, and he smiled.

“Follow me!” he ordered, as I struggled to keep up with his pace.

“I’ve seen you riding, and it’s terrible. Your fighting skills? Zero. Let’s not get to your sword skills,” he spoke, walking outside the behind door. We walked through what I’ll call heaven; the theme was set: bike and war. The two women standing in front made me feel a little uneasy. What was he thinking?

“At least I can handle a gun,” I spoke faintly.

“Yeah? Not good enough!” he spoke, hitting the bike and taking a few moments to reminisce on the beauty of the bike.

“Clara and Rosa, meet Nina,” he spoke, as they bowed and nodded. “And this will be your bike,” he spoke.

“I had my bike. What did you do to it?” I spoke, not wanting to let go of a bike that had turned into my ride or die, literally.

“Oh, this is your bike, princess, just improved,” he spoke and walked out, leaving me with two completely different strangers.

“Your training starts now, mine or Lucious’ queen,” he spoke. I could feel a tingle in my neck, but bearing two marks didn’t allow me to know if it was his or Lucious I was feeling.

I had to get rid of one, definitely Lucious, but how? It felt like I’m carrying the burden of two men, and it was too much for me.

“Are you going to just stand there or race?” one woman spoke. I couldn’t differentiate between them, so I just looked.

“I’ve never raced,” I muttered, and the tattooed one scoffed, while the one with the Mohawk on her head looked at me as if we had had beef for a long time, but I didn’t know her.

“There’s always a first time, my Luna,” he said.

“Can I know your name?” I spoke, hoping she wouldn’t see me as dumb.

“Of course, my Luna. I’m Rosa. This one is Clara. Pardon the Alpha for not clarifying it at first,” she spoke, while the other one still eyed me like she could drift a knife into my skull.

“Will you two keep on talking, or ride?” Clara spoke, hopping on the bike.

“Do you talk to your superiors like that?” I spoke, wearing my helmet.

“No ma’am,” she said, as I hopped on my bike.

“It’s Luna for you,” I said while riding off. I could feel them behind me, but I rode. My position and experience were just not about to be tarnished. I had to prove myself, and I was going to do that by any means possible.

“That was the slowest thing I’ve seen,” Rage spoke, coming in front of me, almost making me lose my brake and nearly hitting him.

“Slowly, queen,” he teased, wiping off the dust.

“The training was riding?” I spoke, removing my helmet.

“If you’re going against the best rider in town, you’ll need more skills,” he spoke.

They moved like swift weapons; you could hear them but couldn't see them. The forest was their shade, the leaves covering the very intention of them being seen. The person I assumed to be Rage still lingered on the huge tree. The bike was closing in. I stood there with no weapon to defend myself, my only defense being my confidence. I moved through the night, my injuries open for the leaves to feast on.I was the prey, not for food but for money and for land, but as long as I felt connected with land, there's no way I'm giving up. I ran away from them, my feet met the ground, and it seemed like ways opened up for me. I didn't struggle, but even barefoot, the trees didn’t prick me.Nature opened a way for me until I rushed into a cave. It was foreign but underground, deep and far beyond the bounty hunters’ reach. I didn't know their identity—whether werewolf, hunters like Rage, or vampire—but one thing I was sure of was that they're after my life. The ground closed in with leaves as if

  • THE ALPHA BIKER'S BRIDE    Am I the villain?

I walked through the thick dark forest, my motivation being my revenge. The image of my father's ghost resurfacing got me thinking—if I could really communicate with him, I have a lot of questions to ask him.My stomach growls, but my heart growled more. What if Rage has really replaced me? Is this the end? How could he leave me alone in a season I know I wanted him the most? I thought we agreed to always be together—the love, the bond—Was it all a sham or true? The sound of a falling river caught my ears. All I wanted was a place where I could find peace, even if it was the least expected place. The view was amazing. With every fall, the water made a rhythm. I couldn't help but get closer. I couldn't fight the urge to touch the water anymore, so I reached out.It felt like hugging or smiling with Rage. Both of them brought something out of me that I couldn't explain.“For a little girl, you’ve got big ambitions!” a voice spoke. I turned around only to see my father’s spirit again, b

  • THE ALPHA BIKER'S BRIDE    The Genesis

My eyes opened with a very familiar scent oozing around me. The sound of the hill was almost too familiar. I lifted my head up and, just like déjà vu, I was back at Kade's torture chamber. The only thing that changed was the crispy burn smell caused by Rage. The scent of a familiar perfume reached the room before she could—rich, elegant, but still full of pride. Nothing could have prepared me to see Victoria standing outside the door. How did she get here? Why was she here? In Kade's territory? Something was definitely fishy. I quickly flipped my head to the other side, avoiding anything to do with her eyes.“I can see you decided to come back home,” she spoke, her gravity of words still not enough to move me.“What are you doing here, Vic?” I spoke but made an elegant accent like hers. It irked her off, and I loved every bit of it.“You mean I'm not allowed to visit my father?” she spoke, and I could only roll my eyes as I watched Kade entering the room with a priestess. Apart from h

  • THE ALPHA BIKER'S BRIDE    The soil calls my name

He didn't waste a chance to snore like he was never in the mood to be with me, but that didn't flatter me.How can I be living under a man's shadow when my father left me an empire? It was ruled by Kade and his men, but deep down, the soil kept on calling my name. I had to fight and reclaim what's mine, but how do I handle it with Rage, especially being a hunter?“What are you thinking?” he asked, his eyes closed but his hands moving.“A way to burn Victoria to ashes,” I lied, looking outside at the shining moon.“You mean Vic?” he asked, and I nearly lost my mind—the audacity of him even correcting her name.“You mean Vic?” I mimicked him, but in a ridiculous way. Whether he heard me or not didn't bother me; I just wanted her to sweep the trail of my bike.I couldn't sleep when the sun rose up and met my eyes wide awake, but Rage seemed to have a nice sleep—stretched like someone who just carried a blast of cement.“I have to go,” I muttered, avoiding his gaze.“Where? Do you know an

She made sure I saw everything she was doing. I rolled my eyes, the receptionists visibly smiling and giggling. I could control myself, but not my wolf—she was angry and ready to smite her blood all over her claws.“Has someone come here?” he asked finally, after enjoying all the touch from the strange woman.“No one, just a confused woman in sweatpants,” she mocked. I hid myself, turning away to avoid being noticed. Maybe he’d be embarrassed about me, and I didn’t want that—not especially in front of his employees who were already making fun of me.“Which one?” he asked, and the rude woman pointed in my direction. I turned my head while wearing my helmet. My eyes were hidden, but I could see his bright smile. He dropped the papers on the ground and came toward me.“I didn’t actually think you could make it alone,” he said, approaching me. Even hidden, he could still recognize me.He gently removed my helmet, his eyes lighting up like a child who had just gotten candy.“Why are you si
