SONG OF THE CHAPTER: “My Demons” by Starset

IVARA'S POV:

The night clings to me like a second skin, heavy and unrelenting. Even the stars feel sharper, brighter than usual, like they’re watching... judging. I shouldn’t be here, standing outside the training yard where Ronan burns his demons into the dirt, but the weight in my chest has made it impossible to stay away.

I told myself I’d keep my father’s secrets. I told myself I’d play the dutiful daughter, the loyal soldier but the image of Ronan’s body torn apart by an ambush... of Kael smirking over the wreckage, has been lodged in my skull all night.

So I step into the ring of firelight.

Ronan doesn’t notice me at first. His body moves like it’s carved from fury itself. Every strike of his fist into the wooden post echoes like a drumbeat, sharp, brutal. His shoulders glisten with sweat, chest heaving with the weight of effort and rage.

Then he freezes. His head tilts, like some primal instinct warns him I’m near. Slowly,

SONG OF THE CHAPTER: MY BOO BY USHER IVARA'S POV:The fire won’t die. Not the one outside unfortunately. That one is already fading and has eaten down to embers and ash, but the one inside me. The one that won’t stop burning no matter how much I try to smother it. I’m pacing inside Ronan’s quarters, shaking, every nerve raw. My palms are black with soot, my throat still tastes like smoke and death. The walls feel too close. The air feels too thick. Outside, the camp is quiet... too quiet. What’s left of it, anyway. The wounded have been carried to the med tents. The dead… gods, I don’t even know where they’ll bury them. There’s too many. And Finn- I squeeze my eyes shut. His name alone feels like a knife. The door slams open. Ronan storms in, the smell of smoke still clinging to him. His eyes are molten gold, his jaw set so tight I can almost hear it grind.I don’t move. He slams the door behind him, rattling the hinges. “What the hell was that?” I cross my arms, v

SONG OF THE CHAPTER: ROSES BY OUTKASTIVARA'S POV: The sky turns to gray by the time we move. The compound smells like oil, blood, and vengeance. Wolves are strapping on leathers, checking their weapons, their engines already snarling like beasts waiting for blood. The Draven insignia gleams in the early morning haze; a wolf’s skull over crossed iron fangs. It looks darker now, heavier even. Ronan stands at the front of the courtyard, his jacket half-unzipped, his knuckles raw. He hasn’t slept since the bombing. None of us have but he’s not tired, he’s dangerous. When he gives the order, it isn’t loud. It doesn’t have to be.- “We ride.” The gates swing open, the engines roar and wolves howl. The war begins. I ride behind him for the first time in full war gear; black jeans, leather jacket, boots that still feel too big for the kind of ground I’m about to walk on. The night wind tears through my hair as we race down the highway, the convoy of bikes like a living st

SONG OF THE CHAPTER: UNFOOLISH BY ASHANTI (CHANGED MY PLAYLIST)IVARA'S POV: Kael’s words still hang over the Draven compound like the smoke from his last fire.“Hand her over, Draven or war begins.” By morning, the air is thick with tension with the wolves pacing, muttering and arguing under their breath. Patrols double at the gates with the guards stationed by every entrance. The compound, once loud with training and laughter, has become a cage.My cage. From the moment the sun rises, I can feel the fear rippling through the pack. They avoid looking at me directly now, but I catch their sideways glances of fear mixed with hate, mixed with something worse. Doubt.Because Kael Voss didn’t just threaten war. He promised it and all he asked for was me who is his daughter by the way...~~~ By midday, the council summons Ronan. They don’t have to say why. I can hear their voices echoing through the hall, sharp as claws. Cassian stands at the head of the war table, map spread

SONG OF THE CHAPTER: ARE YOU GONE ALREADY BY NICKI MINAJ.IVARA'S POV: The warehouse air thickens, turning colder than steel. My father’s shadow stretches across the concrete floor, swallowing mine until I can’t tell where I end and he begins. He steps forward. Every movement is deliberate, precise. He doesn’t need to raise his voice to command the room. His gaze, black as midnight without stars, hooks into me like barbed wire. “I warned you.” His tone is calm, too calm. “And yet, here you stand, my blood, my heir, defying me in front of mongrels and strangers. You were meant to be my triumph, Ivara. Instead…” He lets his eyes rake over me, disdain curling his lip. “You are my greatest disappointment.” The words hit harder than claws. My chest tightens until I can’t breathe, shame and rage colliding in my throat. Before I can speak, a growl rips through the air; deep, vibrating and undeniable.Ronan. In a blur, he’s in front of me, his broad frame cutting Kael from v

SONG OF THE CHAPTER: TOUCH ON ME BY OCTOBER LONDON IVARA’S POV: The note still burns in my pocket as I crouch outside the warehouse.“Choose blood over bond.” My father’s words echo like a curse, but the sound inside is louder than the muffled whines of wolves. Not wild ones or rogues. Our own. I press my palm against the metal wall, my stomach churning. I’ve seen bikers cage wolves before, but never like this. Never organized. Never this… cruel. Slipping through a cracked side door, I move in silence, hugging the shadows. The smell hits me first; urine, blood, sweat, despair. It stings the back of my throat. Rows of cages line the warehouse, stacked two high. Wolves crouch inside, some with mangled fur, others with eyes glassy from drugs. Chains wrap their necks and muzzles clamp their mouths shut. I bite down hard, fury scorching my veins. This is Kael. This is my father’s empire. This is what blood has built. My hand grips the bars of the nearest cage. A young wo

SONG OF THE CHAPTER: THE KEY BY TEMSIVARA'S POV: The night after I overhear Cassian’s treachery, sleep refuses to come. Every time I close my eyes, I see Ronan surrounded by his own men, blades pressed to his throat, betrayal dripping like venom from lips that once swore loyalty. I pace my room until dawn stains the windows gray. My body is exhausted, but my heart thrashes against my ribs like a caged animal. By morning, I can’t keep it inside anymore. If I stay silent, I’ll be complicit and if I tell him, I could be the spark that lights the rebellion. Heck, he probably won't believe me.Either way, blood will spill but I have to make sure it's not his.~~~I find Ronan in the courtyard, stripped to the waist, fists slamming into the leather of a heavy bag suspended from a steel beam. Each strike makes the chain rattle and the bag sway wildly. His skin glistens with sweat, scars cutting across muscle. His wolf simmers close to the surface, his eyes flashing gold with every p
